yes, ik we're not supposed to use pirated products. yet, the total cost of all of which i need rounds off to a whooping 2000+ usd. im working on my EP. i would like to know if there is any way to release it and promote my songs without getting caught by companies or is that even possible. it sounds stupid and ridiculous yes.

you may also suggest work and get a job, yet that is simply not possible for me at the moment (no im not a minor) cos college is going on and in my country, doing a part time with college is really difficult legally and yeah.

at least if i buy the DAW alone which is FL studio 399 usd version, is it okay if i don't pay for all the VST's i use. (fab filter bundle, sylenth1, xfer serum, valhalla suppermassive,. kickstart, and hafltime).

few are pretty cheap enough for me to get, but sylenth and serum are really darn expensive. i would like to know your suggestions too as im currently working on my EP which will be released by next year

I'm not 100% sure which version of FL you are talking about, as the price for the Signature version is 299 USD and the all-plugins edition is $499. Assuming you are talking about getting the Signature version for $299, then you will have everything you need to make an EP and start promoting yourself. It seems you might be new to producing, and my advice is always to not get caught up in the crazy world of plugins as a newbie. Just because you have fancy plugins, doesn't mean you know how to actually use them, and they are certainly not a magic pill for your mix that will make the mix sound better just by using them. If you don't know how to use basic stock plugins to achieve a good sounding mix, then having pirated OR paid 'fancy' plugins will not change that. Learn the basics with your stock plugins. You can absolutely achieve a solid mix and get your music out to the world using only stock plugins! So, in a nutshell, get FL and make your music. Don't worry about spending a penny on extra plugins, and focus on writing your music and the foundations of audio engineering.

true true, i have been making music for past 6 years and ik that plugins are not always goodly. lmao. ty but uh i use these plugins regularly in different manners. ik a good solid amount of sound design in sylenth and serum with that i work on my songs.

i also use stock plugins, sakura and sytrus are my fav. aah yes signature bundle. i remember seeing 399 🤡

i use stock param eq 2 for equing, cos im good with it and it works pretyy well. thats why im asking

cos because of this piracy issues i stopped my focus on music years back., i want to achieve something in music which is not become godly famous, but post my work out there. genuinely

I say this with love, but I think some things in my response went over your head. I'll answer your question a bit more directly then. Will companies, or anyone, know you're pirating plugins? No. Unless they have access to your computer and are actually looking, no one will know (as long as you're at LEAST using a VPN to download them as well). But, you also shouldn't be worrying about pirating in the first place when you will have all tools necessary to do exactly what you want - "get your music out there". I used to pirate the hell out of my audio stuff years ago, but it's just not the way to go.

if anything, your issues with pirated software should be more if they start having issues and you can't get an updated versions, or how you're going to "clean up" your cracked software should you choose to buy the real thing

getting in trouble with companies because you made music with cracked software should be like, the least of your worries, if any at all, unless you're flaunting it around the internet like a loon

find out over time which ones you use the most and can't live without, but first explore the fl stock plugins to see if you can replicate the effect well enough. you'll be less needlessly dependent on pirated stuff that way. then I would, when it becomes possible, pay for the tools that have been a huge help to you

I started out illegitimately. there is a chance I might have 1 elicenser-requiring vst I don't use and only keep for opening ancient projects. and there's also a chance I lost $120 in fragile elicenser replacements so I may not have an elicenser. but aside from this possibility I've gotten so much out of fl studio so I paid for it first and then paid off another plugin then was able to slowly acquire new tools legitimately

oh and there's also a chance that despite paying for it, sonible's licensing system and support may have caused a license seat to for some reason disappear and they may have never done anything about it

so I may have created a new "offline!" option
