#How to do Vocal Fry or other metal vocals without pain in lower throat or voice hitching or chopping

So when I do it after a while I notice a strain on lower throat
and for higher pitch it feels like my soft palatte is working against me and hitching or chopping the sound. I think it could potentially be a need for more water for this issue potentially but I don't know about lower throat strain. I think it means something isn't quite right.
You could take some vocal lessons on how to properly vocal fry, 30 day is really good or YouTube is decent aswell… sometimes. Try warning up before. If I know I’m going to do any weird things with my vocals I tend to not use my voice nearly at all hours before recording, vocal warm ups, and staying hydrated. I don’t vape or smoke so that might also be a plus
