This year, the creators did not make any effort when it comes to today's event. A year ago, the creators made a very nice party, because a player who paid a lot of awards received and today is not even worth a penny, I will not continue this event because it is a waste of my time and money

Too bad the devs only nerfed the side and cupolas of the AMX M4 54 even tho those weren’t really the true problem of the tank, I hope they don’t release the tank in update 7.4 and actually nerf the tank that will actually make the tank balanced

The early merkavas. You're thinking of the newer ones. Top of the tree would be an early prototype or the Mk1. Those vehicles had L7 guns, same as on the Cents.

They just added a heavy line after lights, TDs, and more lights in that (reverse) order; we haven’t seen a new med line since Italian meds more than a year ago so it makes sense. My bet was on the ObJ430 line of soviet meds but the CZ line is honestly more interesting, so no complaints here.

The interesting thing will be to see how they proceed after this point in introducing new tanks; they’ve said they can’t add Japanese heavies or Swedish TDs for various reasons (and prob Swedish meds for similar reasons to the TDs), and French wheeled lights seem pretty unlikely in the current map environment, so they only really have Polish meds and heavies, additional Soviet meds and heavies, and maybe Chinese lights left that they could add to the tech tree.... which is uh, not a super diverse group. They’re going to have to start pulling entirely new lines out of thin air like the Japanese TDs if they want to add more diversity. Seems to be the new norm other than the euro tree.

They pillaged what would have been easy tech tree lines in the French mediums and second heavies, but I guess it was easier to make money off of those 🤔 Maybe we’ll see Rhm Panzerwagen, T-100 LT, and AMX 13 105 as premiums. I’m sure they could milk those for quite a bit of dough, and it would be easier than fabricating a new tier 9 out of nowhere for each instance and also trying to shoehorn in an entirely new controversial game mechanic each time (looking at the T92E1 lol).

Wait, since when was the Maus dominating tier 10? I can name at least one heavy thats doing better in the current meta (IS-4) than the Maus. The Maus is a more niche heavy tank, requiring actual skill to really use it's strengths beyond being a giant hitpoint pinata. Same case with the E-100, though I'd say the Maus is probably better at it's job of being a superheavy than the E-100. If anything, the tanks that dominate Tier 10 are tanks like the T-22 Medium, T-62A, the Tier 10 Ho-Ri, and the Vickers 105, not the Maus.

I don’t know where the whole notion that the Maus doesn’t require skill comes from. The armour won’t hold up if you don’t angle it properly, and the speed will make you a sitting duck if you don’t stay with your teammates

@noble crystal That's..the exact opposite of how to play a Maus. If you just sit there and take damage, you'll be out of the game way before you should be. A Maus driver needs to angle, they need to know when to eat damage for it's allies, they need to pick the correct side based on their team, and they need to know how to keep enemy heavies pinned down. The Ho-Ri at tier 10 has bloody amazing pen, and while it doesnt have the greatest alpha it's gun is very good at dealing with pretty much any tank in the game. The T-22 Medium is just straight up overpowered with it's far-too-good armor, great mobility, and great gun. The T62 has amazing DPM for a medium tank, and is very adaptable and does extremely well in a hull down position. I'd definitely say the T-22, the T-62A, and the tier 10 Ho-Ri dominate in the current meta, even if they aren't as common as other tanks, but popularity really doesn't matter. A good example of this is the FV215B 183..it does awful in the current meta, yet it's a super popular TD.

@hallow ether 3k hp with armour like that isn't going to get deleted fast at all. You don't need to know anything apart from drive forwards at the reds and you get easy 2.5k average. The T22 and T62 (less so the ho ri) are strongish but don't dominate by far. You can easily look at the chart below and see that heavies are by far the class that dominates even in good players who should be able to use meds more effectively.

@noble crystal Except that armor isn't as nearly as good as you think it is without angling. Keep in mind these are 55-65% players, so they will definitely know enough about the game to know how to angle, especially in a Maus. It's 3k hp is too low for it to just sit in front of enemies without angling, especially since TD's at tier 10 usually deal about 640 alpha with normal rounds and heavies generally deal 400+ alpha damage per shell. And 2.5k damage at Tier 10 isnt really all that much either. If the average damage is below the tank's hp it generally means your not pulling your weight (this isn't true in particular cases, but those cases are rare in Tier 10).

The maus is literally the 2nd highest perfoming tier 10 tech tree tank, after the kranvagn which has such a high winrate cuz its relatively new. It is a simple easy and forgiving tank to play. The side armor barely need any angling anyway 185mm of armor can easily go above 250 mm of pen with slighy angles hence it can brush standard shells of many tier ten 10 tanks, not to mention that having that much hp with that much armor basically means that mistakes are easily forgiven.

It has been the highest or one of the highest performing tanks before the hp buff and then it was known to require extraordinary amounts of skill for a heavy. The truth is that the stats were that high because only specialised players played it

It should be noted that the tank was overpowered even before the hp buff, but it was very unpopular because it required you to posses enough map awareness and awareness to not get caught out alone and the armour required you (and still requires you) to angle at unnatural angles for the highest effectiveness and to predict you opponents shots to bait them

See, the problem with winrate in particular is a) your team and your skill is far more important than your tank imo and b) the differences are so small that its extremely difficult to tell if those winrates actually mean much, since there will always be variables in statistics when you start adding humans into the equation. On top of that, winrate can be extremely decieving. For example, the VK 72.01 (K) has the 4th highest winrate out of all tier 10 heavy tanks, yet it is a difficult tank to use properly and not exactly a great heavy tank either. To add on to even more flaws in the statistics argument, look at the average number of battles in the Maus..look at how low they are compared to tanks like the IS-7 (a tank that is far far simpler to play) or even the IS-4. Not a lot of people play Mauses relatively compared to all the other tanks on that list, so the fact it has the second highest winrate is probably due to people who specialize in playing the Maus or are just really good players in general, as Lux said. Honestly, the best judges of a tank's advantages and disadvantages are veterans of the tank who have learnt their tank in-depth from all their experiences with it.

So when you guys are saying the maus has to stick with the team... it really doesn't. I have memories of my maus holding off 4-5 tanks for several minutes alone as my team does god knows what until they finally appear behind the enemies. Yes, it takes a bit of skill to angle the armor, bait shots, and know when it is safe to do damage, but I can confidently say it doesn't really hurt that bad when I eat a 183 shell, on the rare times that I allow it to pen.

No other tier 10 can just go : "no damage for any of you" nearly as well as the maus can.

The dpm on the maus is a bit lacking, but it can still basically trade hp and still win and 1 on 1 engagement.

Side note, doing 700 ramming damage followed immediately by a shell to a poor t110e5 is always nice

You can technically hold of any amount of enemies if they allow you to and if you play your tank right. The Maus is indeed the best tank when it comes to facing multiple targets at different angles and if you play it correctly you can deny all incoming damage, but that is where the skill comes in. Just driving forwards means exposing your lower plate and turret cheeks and making yourself a hitpoint piñata due to the lack of firepower the tank possesses

You did see them in pubs in 2019. But WG nerfed the HP to the point where the tier 9 had more Hp than the tier 10. Its not a bad tank, its just not as good as it used to be. @sacred belfry. WG is strange when it comes to balancing tanks that arent russian. Im still confused as to why the is4 deserved an extra 400 when it was already very good.

I would prefer something like 2018 Christmass event but with some 2019 Christmas features

In 2018 we had a skill based event with great rewards, no pay to win and with Panzer 4 Schmalturm as main reward
In 2019 we had a pure pay to win event, which people had to pay (or play 24/7) for a loot box, It's a total of about 5% chance to at least get a Tank, about 0.4% to get VK 90 (which was the main prize)
But if you didn't get it by the loot box, you could get that for a but more than 100 dollars

But at least it had a funny minigame. It had a lot of bugs? Yes, but at least if was funny

What about a normal event like in 2018 but with 2019 minigame? Nevermind, it will never happen, you know why? Because we have feed them once on the first BP, now they'll spam passes until it don't give money anymore

Sad? Yes, but it's our fault for don't complain a lot since that first Halloween Battle pass

Also people used 1000$+ dollars on the 2019 event just to get vk90. Which was sold for under 100 Dollars (bit more with camo) after 8-9ish months. (Do not get brainwashed. Some tanks that were in event (mostly) will return in the shop sooner or later. So you might aswell not pay 1000$ dollars for something like the vk 90)

I'd prefer an event exactly like 2018 with only some features of 2019

2018- Purely skill based to get the main prize and you could complete easily with Gold

2019- one of the worst events ever made, cuz it was all based on loot boxes. Loot boxes everywhere, it looked like a game from EA. But at least the minigame was incredibly funny and free BT-SV

Repeat 2018 event with a different main prize, maybe even harder and with a tier 7 or 8, add the minigame (and don't forget to fix those bugs), add auctions (but with decent prices, anyone wants a tier 6 tank for 25k gold) and maybe give a tier 2 or 3 that none cares about as "charity"

And then you get an almost perfect event

The problem isnt even the spam, it's just that even having 1 Annihilator or Smasher per team per game really messes things up. I actually got into a game where the enemy team had four Annihilators..suffice to say, our team got absolutely steamrolled. To be completely honest, Smashers are less of an issue for me than the Annhilators..could be that I've gotten used to Smashers or I see them less often, not exactly sure why. Maybe the Smasher is just less annoying to me since there are derps like it I already have to deal with at Tier 6, 7 and 8 (RHM, SU-152, KV-2, Vindicator, ISU-152)

probably not going to have excellence marks in a near-future. But why not making events where top X players get a special camo ? Like it was for the kpz70 (but lol there wasnt any distinction between players that bought it and those that won it top1000)
You are kinda ruining camos values by re selling them (time for triumph camo has come as well) when camo is the only way to dinstinct youself from others.
I dont know how WG thinks, but its such a bad marketing for you to not give camos a real value when its ez to do so.
In many other games "skins" are really important, some can be bought some can be won with skill and its working pretty well.
Why not making more camos in wotb for the most talented players and not ruin its rarity/value by selling it later ? (like communty, pro camos)

Ratings is not that much revelant for a player's talent. Unfornutaly, its most likely more you play more you'll be high, once you have a minimum of skills
As i said, i was more thinking about events like the one we had for the kpz70, which is totally different from ranked.

Okay, so I have an idea for a possible future event to where you can win a few tanks. It’s kinda like the battle pass in the sense of how many levels you can advance in a day. So here is my idea, let’s have an event to where you can win premium tanks that range from 6-8 and the only way you can advance through the levels is by beating the score with how much damage you have done in a battle. For example, if I did 3k damage and won, 50% of the dmg that is dealt can help you get closer to your goal. Which Helps you advance to new levels and get rewards. Each level will require either 5,000 or 6,000 to advance to more levels. Now, for the tanks, I suggest we have 3 tanks in the event. 1 Tier 6, 1 Tier 7, and 1 Tier 8. I suggest there be 75 levels in total. And after every 25 levels you pass, you get a tank.

@surreal egret i get what you’re saying, but in encounter if you are in a heavy you can force the enemy to come to you. in supremacy, if you’re in a 1v1 against a light, their speed let’s them cap based much faster than you can and you’re probably going to lose

hello, since yesterday 2/11/2020, my friend has a bogue on the premium shop of wot blitz in game: he cannot buy packs. He had writte to the player support but they said that the account has no problem. It still a wg system bogue because others players that i have questionned who use others plateforms to buy packs has already the same problem. Picture said "indisponible service. Plz waiting" in french because me and my friend are frenches, but 24h of waiting... and never resolve. Maybe we didn't wait enough?

@lethal field I think i got hit with 480 damage on left side and that is the only hit mark I could find. so I'm assuming that the hit is what got me 480 HP loss

That was a rhetorical question. Heat shell marks are very different compared to Ap, Apcr, and HE shell marks. My best guess is that he shot apcr at a downward angle, it went through the spaced armor, and because the spaced armor there is so thin, completely overmatched it and went through the side of your tank.

@vapid wagon Maybe, because that hit mark doesn't look like APCR. He shot at very close range, at a distance equal to the length of VK72.01K. Still it doesn't makes sense that I it damaged me 480HP. That's a spaced armour and there is no hull underneet that track skirt, just tracks are there. I already wrote a ticket, but they needed replay, and don't have it. So had to close the ticket.

APCR can go straight through the spaced and still pen. Even HEAT can go through the spaced and pen. @languid nymph Calibrated shells aren’t required for either.

What camo are you using? And what tier are you at? @autumn gorge . Some camos depends on what tier, and you need to at least have a tier 5 tank to unlock camos. Example : if a camo says its meant for tier 7 tanks, then you can only use it for tier 7’s

I don't think VK 72.01 (K) should get a side armor buff. I think that maybe 20mm(not effective) making the frontal armor 260mm thick would just be better so it can brawl better and get penned less in the lower plate by pramo since the turret cheeks and the side spots are very weak. This would make it so you just face your enemy frontally instead of trying to wiggle since the DPM on the tank is already quite low. Doing this would make the tank more attractive since the line is terrible to grind. VK 45.02 A and B are bad.

wg nailed it with that one, it was probably my favourite event so far. it doesnt eat up too much time, has a simple premise that can be picked up by anyone, it had a fun grind and most importantly the "grind" was rewarding

Yeah um the the board game was super fun but the loot boxes for progress was horrendous. I got lucky and got a snow globe for a super rare tank, but plenty of people didn't get anything because of bad crate luck

Tortoise has a great gun but its armor nah even some tier eights can pen with AP shells, so a little bit of armor is not gonna make it so op

Why do I have 250 ping in this game... In counter strike I have 80 ping right now, and in war Thunder I have 95 ping. But in this game its about 300-200. Why ??? If you're a Brazililian, you probably noticed that the prices (in real money) have increased by 55% because of the dollar increase, so I got some tips for you. WG isn't going to help us because of the constant crisis, their anti-costumer sells won't stop, so better get prepared if you want a new premium on your garage.

Firstly, you should focus on skill based events and tanks costing gold, because you can get cool things in those 2 things.
If you're a mobile player, you probably already have noticed, but if you're a PC player then you should know; you can get gold for free by ads
5 ads every day, each ad give you 10 gold and there's a cooldown of 2 minutes between each of them. Less than 15 minutes a day for free 50 gold is better than nothing, let's remember that exactly now on EU server, there's 3 cool tier 8 premiums for sale costing only 5500 gold (ISU-130, Type 59 and Chieftain/T95). With some preparation, you can start to grind your gold 110 days before massive promotions and get your own tier 8 premium, or watch ads for 300 days and buy your own "premium"/collector tier X for 15000 gold (as like 121B now)
If you're going for massive promotions but you aren't prepared your gold yet, then considere buying gold only with good discounts, for exemple, the 4250 gold pack. The price before was 34 BRL, not It's 50 BRL, but still pretty worth a peck if you already have a good amount of gold by ads.
Don't rely on loot boxes, crates sold for real money have got more expensive too, but the chances still pretty minimal. Paying 20-30 BRL for 2-6% to get a tank, ain't I right?
Analyze the battle pass before buying that. If your objective is gold, then go for the passes only if they have fair gold vaults, sell the collector tank may be a good option too, since they are just re-skins with slightly different stats, same playstyle and any big differences on the gameplay, but at least you'll have more 500 gold on your wallet

The type 5 heavy was indeed considered to be put in the game. It also was already in the supertesting. But because of some issues, like the viewing points of the huge tank and etc, it was cancelled. If Im not mistaken it was last year or 2 when they did it. (Correct me if im wrong)

@prime gazelle I didn't received all my keys for yesterdays stream also (i still haven't received my 5-th key), and half of our clan had the same problem... if You make some compensation, than You should give it to every1 not only to 1 most popular server... it's really seems at the moment that CIS server is main and other servers are 2-nd sort servers.... not just CIS server had technical issues...

I think it's a rollback unless you're going to give everyone a protocol. At present, the people around me exploited the bug to open the box with the key to collect the tank and a large amount of gold, and sold all the remaining keys and turned them into credits. And they have not been recovered at all and are proud of it.

I hope WG makes the right decision.

Hey! Wg is now deducting the glitched items! But there is a catch. They have also taken my legitimately earned keys and x3 certs! What's more, just like yesterday when we were getting the glitched items one after the another, and was getting notified for the same, they are now deducting after deducting apparently invisible things, since im getting notified for that also but nothing is being deducted from my account. ... realy WG should either give compensation to all servers equally or don't give it to any1... all the srevers should be treated equally...

And for WG if You are going to give to only 1 server some compensation for some troubles that all server had, just don't announce it to all other servers(CIS server has their own Discord server), and if you announce some compensation than give it to everyone...

I totally understand about the compensation thing that RU server is getting. But it's due to their stream crashing which didn't happen to other servers.
So that's why they are getting compensation of 2 keys+ amount of time they watched.
I don't think they are getting keys if they didn't watch the stream at all. So it sounds fair in my opinion. It's not like they arw treating RU special. But also I feel like they should give us separate compensation for delayed rewards.

I just found out, that apparently, players on ASIA who got many keys only lost XP certs, premium, the keys and fan camos. But got to keep the tanks they got many times over, meaning one server got a ton of gold, credits and all the available tanks. How is this fair towards the other servers? Does WG have a plan on what to do? I understand that they can´t get rid of the tanks, since players can just restore them, but what about the gold? One server got so much free gold, shouldn´t then all other servers receive something too?

what is wrong with this? i cant log in at all, it keeps saying "you have been disconnected from the server"
