You know, they should add the attack/defense mode for tournaments that they have on PC

Basically, on each map, there are two sides; the attack side, and defense side. There are two bases, but both of them are controlled by the defending team. The attacker wins if they either destroy all defending vehicles or capture one of the two bases, and the defender wins if they destroy all attacking vehicles, or the timer counts down to 0

Being able to read a teams line up right off the bat already defeats the purpose of any surprise which limit many strats.Also this will give lights/meds bigger role and more map awareness.An important role in comp is to read enemy movements and be prepared for any sort of strategy.

Assault(i believe what its called)will be imo terrible play for comp.you already know the teams line up but also exactly what they are gonna do,that is literally boring.

I'd rarher have unique strats pop out with more freedom than see a bunch of is4s defend in the popular ditches and go at it

Lineups shouldnt be hidden because strats shouldnt be able to work through suprise alone. If lineups were hidden teams would either go very fast tanks and push instantly or go all 183s and delete anyone who peeks. Now THAT would make a very bad and ridiculous meta. Yes the enemy being able to see ur lineup limits the suprise factor but even though they see your lineup, that doesnt mean they know exactly where youre going to go. Its up to you to suprise them with your strat even though they know your lineup and are expecting you to do something. Making it seem as if youre going to do 1 thing and then doing a different thing takes more braincells than going all amx50bs, rushing 1 side and winning through luck and pure suprise

If you read the enemy lineup and correctly guess what theyre doing and properly adapt your strat to that then youve outplayed the enemy and deserve to win

In pc clanwars hidden lineups arent game breaking because of the size of the maps and the increased number of players which allow you to spot your enemy at longer distances and give you more time to set up your team accordingly

there would be little tact involved in comparison to supremacy, which as a mode requires a lot of not only pre-battle strategy, but also real time adjustments

not sure if you are aware of this, but PC E-Sports (specifically the 7v7 attack v defense mode you described) died out as a result of lack of viewability to the audience

Blitz E-Sports is miles ahead of PC and shifting out of supremacy will 1) almost certainly never happen and 2) likely be bad for Blitz E-Sports

@graceful jetty I've watched probably tens of hours worth of WoT PC E-Sports in the past, their lineup like basically dull and only with minor differences between each other, and as there is no such a role switch between the teams, with the Attack/Defend mode on PC that sets that one team needs to defend and survive till the end, and the other team to attack or kill everyone. It usually ends up in just the team that has that little upper hand wins, and there is very little tactical plays since it's not practical for team that is defending to leave their caps open or not practical for the team that is attacking to sit back.

Meanwhile on Blitz, we all know that we can all do huge rotations, leaving our spawn wide open, and even amazing brawls and even amazing nail biting cap stops. you seldom see this on PC because of the nature of Attack/Defend game mode.

@chilly terrace I am sure you are aware but the Spectator mode was messed up in today's quick tournament. If you spectate a battle your vehicle would remain spectating for the 7 mins battle time. (Also an unrelated note if your game mode is set to ratings and you invite someone who is in already in a platoon who then accepts, even if you change the mode back to randoms you cannot ready up and play)

Like it wrote in regulations: "Registration opens on June 24 08:00 (PT) / 11:00 (ET) and closes on June 27 08:00 (PT) / 11:00 (ET)." It means 8 AM and 11 AM. If it was PM, it would be written like 20:00 and 23:00.

I'm not going to debate pc vs mobile due to the simple fact I was just explaining that not all mobile players have easy when it comes to controls, I've been playing mobile for 4 years and my god is it ever apparent that a screen as big as mine can be more of a downgrade than an upgrade, sure its easier to snipe but don't attempt to rush till you get a bit more used to having a screen 3x bigger than your previous mobile device. having multiple tiers in QT is not doing Asia any good at all and it's causing extremely long waiting times and no teams doing it, coupling with you guys attempting to stretch tour hours to 3 hours but towards the wrong end, and literally no advertisement to the teams at all, made all those teams not knowing that the tournaments starts earlier. I've literally done a poll on the Asia server forums ages ago about tournament times, and I have no idea why you guys aren't using those results to help determine better tour times, and trying to force other models from other servers into us when our server activity doesn't allow it.

@chilly terrace if that's the case, then I'd suggest probably extend the tournaments 1 hour towards the later part, since there are a lot of teams (especially Japanese and Chinese based teams) that cannot participate in tournaments (from what I heard, example UQ with members only available after standard tournament time, ND who are usually active around 30-40 minutes after usually QT time ended, and HKAF which got disbanded since they didn't have enough active tournament time players. and those three clans are formidable clans in the past but because of timing issues, failed to join tournaments anymore)

@chilly terrace is there any date/explanation to the bad internet connections ever since the update?
It’s really taking a toll on tournament performance for me and my team. this is for the Asia server, thanks.

For some context: I’m using the same WiFi. In the same location, with the same device as before. So are all of my teammates. And the ping/packet loss is always high. Regular or tournament battles. And all of this is only after the update. I’ve sent in tickets and highlighted it along with a hundred or more players in #585464171349409811 but there’s been no fix or any news/acknowledgement of it.
At this point I’m completely unable to play the game.

I’m on SG_P1. I’m from Pakistan so I don’t think that means much for me. Also The European servers give me better ping than the Asian ones. They have around 80-120. While Asia always has 120-150 for me. Both of which were completely stable.

@alpine adder @silver vapor is right. If it was server issue, many players would feel influence of it. There are many possible reasons with internet connection besides server issue. Providers troubles, routes troubles etc. Why are you sure that this issue happened on our side? For example, you provider could change routes and ping was increased because of it.

I mainly believe it is not an issue on my side because my internet performance has not changed one bit for any other thing, I play multiple other games, browse the internet, upload stuff. All that. And I’ve felt no change. It’s only blitz. I’ve been playing it for over 4 years now with the same connection, or even weaker ones, with no issue. Ive confirmed with my ISP that nothing has changed on their side.

This has only started after the recent update. And I’ve tried pretty much everything from my side. There doesn’t seem to be a fix.

And from what I’ve seen other players do notice this aswell. In the #585464171349409811 channel. Quite a few people are complaining about worst connections.

@alpine adder Besides your side and our side exist providers, data centers, routes etc. If you are sure that this is our problem, please, write ticket to support. They will help you, if they can.

Yeah. My original query was about tournaments and then it turned into an argument about this, didn’t mean for it to happen. I have written a ticket about this before, but I’ll do so again. Hopefully it’s fixed soon, whichever side it’s On. Either way, thanks for your time. Really appreciate it :)

@frosty nexus The spectator for tournaments have a little bug:
If you are spectator in Tier7-8 tournament and are for example a FV4005 as spectator and are still ready you can get pulled into the team as non spectator and are part of the ready team in a higher tier tank than allowed - BUT you cant un-ready urself, thus resulting being blocked.
That can be reverted by being made spectator again by teamlead so you can chabge vehicle.
So being a wrong tier and ready created this glitch

Has the idea of increasing profitability for tier x tourneys been discussed? If it's not possible to increase the prize money for asia, maybe decrease the cost for playing battles in the tourney, or make it like playing tier x tourney battles gives credit coefficient equal to premium account levels? So yes, grinding credits at tourneys but with a twist. Or make the tier x tourneys like training rooms where you don't spend credits but earn the rewards.
