NA's smaller playerbase could benefit 'more,' RU teams have a higher chance to match with a similar skill level team simply because more similar skill level teams exist. But either way, an improvement to matchmaking in tournaments would greatly benefit the scene imo.

And then reset points per season so one clan domination of a server doesn’t happen unless they actually have skill to defend their spot

The issue as pointed out is that in Blitz, your individual skill and value is almost meaningless compared to the group synergy and your factoring into that.
ELO works on LoL because it is a formulaic game and everyone knows what tondo as part of every team more or less than enoigh to be effective. In Blitz that simply doesn't hold.
So individual ELO earned as part of one clan or even team is utterly useless in a different clan or team.

After hearing what @chilly terrace said, I genuinely do not think simply increasing rewards (at a reasonable level) will improve tournament player activity.
As a player on Chaos, (NA) I find it to be hard where my multiple hours of tournament play cannot make up the credits I’ve lost playing professionals. Or the lack of rewards in the gold tournaments as a whole. It’s frustrating and it feels so unrewarding for me.
I’m genuinely happy to hear your perspective though, even though it’s vastly different from mine. I do play offseason tournaments, I play around 450 public matches per month (ratings are included), as well as the fact I train with my clan members inside practices we regularly host. I know many major tournament players have a diverse set of crew skills, premiums and other benefits of being at that level. Myself included.
I know many players do tournaments only, but I also know players like me who do nearly every game mode type exist. I feel that a way to incentivize tournament play is to continue what you’re doing with pubs, increasing mission rewards, and getting engaged with the game as a whole.
Additionally, another method of doing that is to incentivize top players to teach and help mid and low tier clans in comp, I don’t want to immediately go into direct financial rewards, but maybe gold and credits for helping out our members of the community. People like rollingswarm do help out a lot, but a lot of clans (including my FUXII clan) needs serious help and direction. I’m not sure if the players or Wargaming is able to support such a proposition, but I think this is one method I haven’t heard from many in a very long time.
(Also I know when I read the post it looks like I’m rambling on about something) just know that I want my situation as a “pro player to improve” but I understand the reluctance to subsidize tournament class and tournament only players. As a result, I think it’s important to find more alternatives- especially for the tournament class players with countless hours of experience. Also I’m watching The helpful fox Senko San which is a amazing anime so I do recommend

There’s a serious issue with the ascent tournaments this season;
We can’t contribute more than one ticket towards the team registration. This has been causing serious issues for my clan. We have a large pool of willing players, but because of the extremely limiting and frankly stupid ticketing system. We’re barely able to make a full team if one or two of our players can’t show up, people have lives wargaming, please revert the system to what it was so people without tickets can play. It’s already clan limited. Which is a good thing. Why limit it to one ticket per person and decrease the amount of teams signing up for tournaments. Which mind you is already a very measly number in Asia. If it ain’t broke. Don’t fix it. Bring back the old system.
I’m not sure if I’m allowed to Tag the developers. So I’ll refrain from that, but I hope this is read and doesn’t get lost in the sea of messages. Thanks.

@alpine adder the logic behind I guess was to establish some tiebreaking, by making the best teams matching up in a more selective tournament (the Saturday one).
And honestly I rly prefer this method, rather than the ascent ran during twister season that was absolutely boring and best teams wining each tournament. Resulting in 15 tied teams in the 8 first positions at the end.
In EU there is already no more tied team in the 8 first spot.

That’s not my point. My point is the fact that people have lives and can get busy. If someone is busy. Means the entire team has to sit out. That’s called “stupid” in the book of common sense. Second, I understand that things might be different over in EU or NA. But the tournament scene in Asia is mostly dead. Even under normal circumstances there aren’t enough teams for a full tournament with groups meant for 8 teams often consisting of 4-5. There’s a huge gap between the good teams and the bad teams with nothin in the middle. And there’s plenty of reasons for that, but currently, this is not helping anything at all. Not the teams which have players with a tight schedule. Not the players who’ve been sitting out for over a month just because they don’t have tickets. And especially not the already dwindling amount of teams over in Asia.
@forest matrix the best teams are supposed to win. That’s why they’re the best, the bronze/silver/gold system was introduced to try to give a place to fight for lower teams. But in Asia that failed miserably with silver and gold tournaments having no more than 2-3 or sometimes no teams.

Here’s the way I think about this, if players shouldn’t be playing assent why not make so that they physically can’t join that tourney, you know kind of like when you are in a team playing a tourney and a different team invites you but you get that error saying they are already participating. Of course this solution takes more time and programming on wg’s behalf but tbh you can’t trust players most of the time. There’s always gonna be some people who aren’t bright enough to know how to follow the rules

All points in Ascent tournaments for us was won by the "PC BOTS" team.
What to take away the chances of the Top Echelon by the team "BAD TOUCH" is the -UN- clan is in the middle of the Middle Echelon table and 90% will be classified there (there have been 3 Ascent tournaments)
And the CAC_P clan is far behind the Lower Echelon.
If someone still does not understand where the error occurred in our clan, I really recommend to translate the ticket, which ss threw above.

From all these reports, it seems that this is an issue specific to EU and NA server, the best thing you guys can do now is to forward as much information towards Wargaming via Support, instead being here trying to speculate reasons for the lag, when you are not well-trained nor well-educated to do so.

@remote pagoda @normal scarab Tournaments is a game mode that is regularly organized - up to 5 times a week! Just go into the tournament tab ingame and check the details! you will need to assemble 7 players at the given time whenever you want to join a tournament.

that's why we have clans - Clans is a very handy community where players with similar interests gather, asking your clanmate / joining a clan that is socially active will help building a tournament team a lot easier!
