@green sierra average win rate for a team, which is shown in the game client, calculates basing on all players of team. But win rate, which is using tournament system for seeding, calculates basing on top-7 players in a team.

Pretty sure i sent a ticket but seeing as how they reply after 2-3 days and i only faced the issue and sent the ticket yesterday and today is the final stage of qualifier, i thot i'd ask about my problem in this channel

I didn't decide that the issue is on Wargaming's side. I simply raised the issue, as me and my team felt the lag and definitely some shots went into the void more than it should, and as my team is situated all across Asia, it's rare that we all feel lag at the same intervals, which is why I raised the issue here, and suggested that it may affect the results and performance of the teams participating in it.

@blissful cave wins the award for best damn observation. Back in 2016 the problem was strong teams matching early in a tournament. It ruined their experience and devalued later stages of the tournament. The current MM system isn’t perfect but it’s practical and creates a good competitive environment for most teams most of the time.

Other systems suggested such as using 60 day WR, or tournament performance track records may have benefits but for sure they also have their drawbacks. It is very easy to game your 60 day WR... and shifting tournament matchmaking back onto other tournaments is difficult to do and kind of doesn’t make sense. Both in those prior tournaments and also what if RA1D, C4 or RGN don’t play any tournaments for the time window?... They get seeded last? Muchos problemos.

Returning to the top point though. With the current system, if you are a great team and capable of winning the Professional Tournament, you can make it through this stage regardless of your group.

Maybe @astral dove has some thoughts on this?

i think a disadvantage of the system is the clans that dont make to top 8 dont get much to look forward to in the spring season. Maybe a 2 stage system would be better than the current. One weekend Top 16, next Top 8 or something like that.

My philosophy on win ratio. Let us for example take a tank so bad the average win ratio for it is 40%. You can get the win ratio for it to 45%. We played against Void today. Something strange happened. KorahKorah was somehow in the tournament game lobby and ready and it showed he was on PC. A couple of seconds later it no longer showed he was on PC. I think this is at the least suspect, and should be investigated to make sure nothing shady is occurring. I play on PC and it does not let you accept a tournament invite if you are on PC so I'm not sure how he joined the tournament room while on PC. @frosty nexus @lime glen @chilly terrace

@ivory saffron having accidentally have played a mobile only tournament on PC myself, I can verify that what happens is you cannot accept the invite to the team from a PC device, but once in the team, you can join the room on a PC version of Blitz (either Steam or Windows 10) but when you get into the game the touch controls show up, so in order to play, you literally have to click and drag the joystick to move, click and drag the joystick to aim, and point and click on the shoot button to shoot

@glass thunder idk about this. BO3 and BO5 both have their own advantages and disadvantages. BO3 tests your team's ability to do short effective sprints and it involves huge pressure handling since 2 games and you are gone, the up side is that it is short and often tense since there is so little chance, the down side is that it often generate some map bias results, but as a professional player you should be able to overcome such an bias, or at least learn to overcome them. I personally don't hate BO3 but for such important games it does make people think whether BO5 would be an better option. I am kinda on this side.

As for BO5, it uses 2 maps to tests your ability to flip the games, you are often given at least 1 more chance on average, but other than, it tests the teams ability to switch maps with an advantage or disadvantage on their hand and see how they can turn the tables, which are fun and challenging but the down side is that the maximum game time would be a bit too long.

That's a result of our more diverse field. I mean we had LGN win Twister 2016 and 2017 onlines... plus they made Twister 2016 and 2017 (which they won) and LGN had two teams in top 4 Twister 2018...

Then RA1D won Twister 2018. We've got a larger server base so of course the field is more open and varied but collectively, we have dominant clans.

To put it in perspective, before the qualifiers even started I correctly predicted 4/8 Pro Tournament participants, and then with 2nd stage groups match made I correctly called 6/8 participants.

Hey Raik. @glass thunder the team core is the same but there are people who has played there less than a year if I remember correctly ( finbloo, blacksteel/django )

To analyse teams EU that qualified... (just IMO) as grades, relative to competition in the top 8...

AAA: R-2-K, ER0S and RA1D
AAB: -1-
ABB: EZ- and -W1N-
BBB: SOULS and H4PKY

Justifications?
RA1D are current world champions.
ER0S and R-2-K are top 4 Twister 2018 EU Onlines
-1- have been present at every single top level tournament since the scene began, they just never converted.
EZ- played EU Twister top 8 but had a tough time, they have big names but a relatively new roster
-W1N- also played a lot of high level tournaments (Twister 2017 top 8, Spring 2018 top 8)
SOULS is very new but beat LOCA (a Twister 2018 top 8 EU team) to get to the Pros
H4PKY are an old clan but likewise beat a ton of solid teams to make the pros, no pedigree yet but the brand is regrowing its former calibre and glory this year.

RA1D's squad from 2018 was a bit of a new mix. They train HARD. Do not underestimate how seriously they are taking esports now lol.

What I was saying is that this tournament will be really difficult because of how ER0S has been performing for quite some time proves that they are very strong and will definitely be competitions for the first spot as well as having RA1D who are currently world champs and very good at analyzing and adapting their strats depending on who they’re playing against.
