Cuz four seasons ago it only lasted a week so if u wanted a reward you had to play 5 rated games a week or recalibrate in the same season. They could have ditched the timer but just be glad u don’t have to recalibrate the last few days of this month

You play a set of games to get ranked initially. Then you play more to go up/down depending on performance in ratings games. End of season give some rewards, usually paltry.
P.s. haven't played much of them in a while so i dont care too much.

Also the idea of more skillbased MM is great, but with the lack of players it does not work.

So they need to be more appealing, my suggestions:
**Increase the amount of players that would receive the top awards. **
Add different camouflages for every season
Have one camouflage for each rating tier: Gold, Platinum and Diamond. Instead of only ONE for Platinum and Diamond
Perhaps add bonus awards for excellent game performance, such as gold, garage slots, free XP and of course our beloved boosters.
These are just my suggestions, but nonetheless ratings need more players so it would acutally work as it was originally supposed to.

I got a 1 Class in my FV401 (A45) = 80 points
But an Ace in my WZ-111-1G FT = 51 points
Both was as low-tier and the base-xp was better in tier VIII.
Added after: A 3 Class in my FV4202 = 15 points...

@arctic mulch you need 50+ battles in a tank and have 4000 or more rating. You can only get the cammo once every season and if you have two or more tanks with 50+ battles, the tank with the most battles played in rating receives it. Also if two tanks have the same number of battles, the number of rating points is taken into consideration, resulting in the cammo being given to the tank with more points earned.

But still I get punished on my rating - not as much as rest of the team, but still...
Maybe the best player on losing team should always get at rating bonus?

@sullen gyro In order to get this camo you still need to have 4000+ rating by the end of the season- but now you need to have 50 battles per level, not a particular tank, to get camo for your favorite tank (one tank at tiers VII-X).
For example, if you played 30 battles on Tiger, 15 on Comet and 5 on T-43 (50 battles total at tier VII), you'll get camo for Tiger.
In case you played only one tank at tier, and that tank can't get another camo installed (Tankenstein, Dracula), you'll get compensation in credits.

I've worked my way from a 50% win rate when I started to a 60.2% win rate now. I'm not saying you can win them all. I'm saying that a truly good player will win more often than they lose.
In my experience about 30% of your games are guaranteed loses and 30% are guaranteed wins. It's what you do with the other 40% of your games that makes the difference between a 38%er and a 70%er.

Playing alone you can pretty easily win 70% of the games, since we're humans we make errors and cant win 'em all. Playing in toon doesnt take it up more than 10%
Getting >30wr requires less than afking (depending on the tier tho), so you pretty much need to be blocking teammates to get a wr below 30

For me it is. Once I get into a game (normally in Type 62) i have to wait 1-5 min initially but once I get into a game and finish it I get the same people over and over and over and it gets really stupid. I am at 4500 and this happens to me every time I play rating

The key is to stay within 3800 - 4200 and milk the bonuses as much as you can because there is vast majority of relatively good skilled and intelligent players who know what to do. If you go below 3500 there seems to be a lot of garbage and above 4500 not enough skilled people to play.

I find my WT is perfect for ratings as it can easily hold its own against tier 10s while sniping and it massacres tier 8s playing aggressively. And at tier 9 it works well playinv a bit of both so its perfect for me

Liking your own post isnt going to make it more popular and I bet the playerbase is mostly children. If there were more skilled players on your rating level youd lose more, not the other way around. The only way you'll meet 'skilled' opponents is when you get to diamond league and even then you have the chance of running to 45%ers once in a while.

On Tier 7 & Tier 8 it is the Battle of the OP Premium Tanks.. that makes a League leaky because not everyone owns these tanks.
Maybe wargaming will change ... it would definitely make rating better than it is now.

@pastel timber IMO the best T8 techtree tanks for Rating would most likely be:
- RU251
- ISU-152
- T32
As 251 has great dpm, accuracy and mobility. +Assistance dmg is very beneficial for rating increase.
ISU for the great gun that can deal with higher tier heavies and very heavily armoured equal tier opponents.
T32 due to amazing turret armour that can sustain even higher tier TD's. Along with good gun depression, average mobility and penetration.

My problem is career WR is the metric all the toxic people use to determine skill. I feel those stats should be hidden from everyone but you. You want to know the stats of another player? Go to Blitzstars. While you're at it, make the garage chat only for friends and clan, not random strangers. I guarantee just the chat change alone will prevent most of the after match toxicity. Hiding the stats is an alternative. I sincerely hope one day one of the devs changes one of these two things. It'd make many people's lives work for the better.

Certain tanks like the SU 152 have the option not to use top gun due to the fact that the stock gun (the derp) is more popular.
However, the stock gun is a very unpopular choice for players driving the SU 100 M1, so you will most likely have to accept its current state.

I use a Leopard PTA, its quick enough to get around, get to caps/flanks if you play it well (recommend to watch gameplay from blitz/pc to help you understand it better) mostly gain +10 if I do decently rip

That's ok. The trick seems to be just fight for yourself and you dont lose too much rating. Not a team effort just try to do as much damage and kills as you can. You might even make rating on a loss.

you see good players but if youre matched against 70% players that got ranked with 4k+ and get teammates with 50% that played a ton of battles to get there i think its still kinda unfair, had a game yesterday against one 70% and one 77% and lost because RNG fcked me by lowrolling but still with 4k+ you meet people below 3k the worst i´ve had was someone with 2k ranking
