Depends on how you are the "best" on a losing team. If you get best dmg on your team and you did 400 dmg then I don't think you deserve positive points. But if you did 6k dmg then losing 110 points is crazy

Yeah. Teams in ratings cant be judged on WR I'm afraid. See a few 60%+ but the you look at their tier x tanks (cause they playing tier x in ratings) most tier x aren't near 55% camping in the back with e100 or a m103 telling you to go spot and he hides behind a Bush and tells the team he will snipe.

With the new system it’s extremely easy to reach platinum league, you just need to use your team as meat shields and do as much dmg as possible. That way, even if you lose you will gain points

Ratings mm needs to change. NOW. AVERAGE ratings cannot account for team balance. I've just had 10 losses in a row, because I am the only 4.8k ratings player on my team trying to carry a bunch of 2k ratings players. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THAT? Ratings MM needs to match players ONE FOR ONE, not by averages. I'm so tired of trying and failing to carry a team of 2k players vs a team full of 3k players. It's IMPOSSIBLE.

Calibration is a joke..... I have seen a 74%wr player w/ 56k battles played in silver league (2580 points) cause his team was every time full of 38-45%wr players. That means he lost more than he could win. So this doesn't reflect his Wr. I was the 2nd best player in that team with 53%wr.. IMO your rating at start of the rating season should be reflect your WR . For instance that 74% player should have had at least platinum league with let's say 4800-4900 points. and a 53% player like me should have 3200-3400 points in gold league.. It is just ridiculous that an 36% player is in gold league with 3500 points. Such a player has no skills in battle whatsoever and thanks his team for his high league. He should have been in bronze or bottom silver league.
Teams are only balance on the kinds of tanks each them have not by the skill players have. So you end up in a battle with skilled players on on team vs not very good in another team.

@pale laurel yes it does when you play tier 10 rating battles. A 38%wr player w/ a 20k battlecount isnt a skilled player. when your team is full of these ppl and the red team has 55%-67%wr players your game is doomed before it even started.

I remember playing ratings when it first came out and it worked because it was only accessible on tier 9 and 10. There were more players so teams were composed of players with similar stats. Ratings dont work because of the low amount of people playing the mode. It's what has led to the compromise to let even lower rated players into higher rated games. Allowing ranked on tier 7, and 8 was too ambitious and ranked was left to die. The only effective improvements it got were the camo award and individual distribution of points among teams. I dont count the avatars since its part of the concept to make ratings reset every month, forcing people to grind all over again.
My utopian ranked experience would be an ongoing way to play the game with players matching your skills. I'd be ok to grind to diamond league if it meant i could keep my rank for more than a
couple months and play in consistently good matches full of experienced players, not try to carry players with a 2-3k avg rating. Awards could be given out in smaller batches. Something significant enough to keep players enjoying ranked for the entirety of the season.

Idea. Make rating battles 5v5. Pick smaller and more condensed maps. Shorten the range of allowed rating points. Make for more dynamic, tighter and harder gameplay with much closer rating players

Try calibrating early in the month. From my experience on na, the player base is way stronger at the beginning of the month. But it goes two ways since they aren’t always on your team

Proposal:
5v5 battles because queue time and player ratings
Pick smaller and more intensive maps only (large maps 5v5 would be awful)
Set a range for the rating point spread. The top and bottom can be separated by a maximum of say 400 points
Award/remove points based off of damage, kills, caps and spotting
The last one is a bit less helpful for tds but at the same time, you only would want 1 or 2 tds depending on the map

I have an idea for ratings- it’s called seriously stop caring about it and just relax. You know the matchmaker is bad, so if you expect it to change than you’re being really thick. Getting to 5k rating is easy, being a gold player is just average, and the average winrate is47% (at least for na) and just breathe.
And about rewards- it’ll come, so be patient. Asking on the discord won’t help when the same answer is and has been written for hundreds of times.

Oh and I see stats in ratings, when I play tanks in ratings, it’ll come up as a 0 battle tank. But it tells me I’ve played the tank, influencing my ace tanker ratio and my total tanks played. Can we fix this?

Let's make rating rewards a bit more fair to win for everyone. What i mean is like now the free camo will be given to the platinum and diamond league players if they battle 50 times in an particular tank. It would be more fair since the majority of players are average or below that to give the rewards also to the top 50-75 players of each league.
Also doing your rating battles in tier 7 is always easier than in tier 10 for most people. a platinum league in tier 7 is for me less worthfull than when you achieved it in tier 9 or 10.

The camo was supposed to be a rare camo, however they've been giving out the same camo over and over again making it not so rare. Still it's an reward for being good at this game why would you give it to players who wouldnt Even derserve it?

Second of all if a 40% player gets 4K, good for him, third of all ratings is a awful way to measure personal skill.
