Wouldn't reccomend necessarily balancing a tank based on the tier lower than it. That seems kinda weird to do. If your tank can't pen it frontally or circle it, then don't fight it and go fight the other enemies, then come back to the vk.

Ten battles, and just play your best to see what number you get. Wins and damage matter so. Carry hard ^_^

Yes. A person who did 3 kills and 3000 damage will do more 99% of the time than the person who did 1kill and 1000 damage. The 1% is for assistance damage

Just about given up with ratings. Don't get me wrong still trying. But the amount of "newish" players playing it is just killing it. I mean 1000 odd battles with around 500 ave dmg and shall we say a less than desirable WN8 or WR. They shouldn't be allowed to play until "unlocking" it somehow. Like a milestone you need to complete.
My thought when rating battles came out was to divide the player base based on "skill" by means of rating. But how are some of us meant to survive when we did the 10 battles calibration or lost and get 3100 rating vs a guy who wins all 10 and gets 3500. This already seems buggy to me. Also your hard earned rating from the last season should count for something. Like a bonus applied to your new calaibaration.

All tanks are only as good as their driver to some extent. It just so happens that the tanks I mentioned and many others are much easier to win with. Shooting premium rounds has nothing to do with tier 7 and 8 being bad for rating battles, though it is sound advice to certain players

The problem of ratings to me is the small player base. As a consequence, the MM just balances the average rating and you find games mixing 1800 and 5000 ratings.
There should be real incentive to play rating, like rewards that would make more players come.

I see tanks of all types "camping".
There is a difference between sniping and camping is tricky at times but usually if a tank can get some clear shots or is in a spot where they know they will get some spots, then usually that's sniping. However if they sit in one spot, never moving even when the fight has moved beyond their effective range, then that's camping.
Sitting in one spot not firing or doing anything like that but waiting for the enemy to maybe stumble across you doesn't take much skill and I will agree is harmful to your team. However wanting to ban Tds because you've run into a bunch of them "camping" is pretty flawed logic. Ive run into plenty of heavies and meds camping worse than TDs before.
Basic rule of thumb (varies with tank comps, and the individual tanks themselves) Lights spot, meds flanks, TDs snipe, Heavies go frontline. Where a Td chooses to snipe doesn't bother me so long as they are actually trying to snipe, not just sitting behind a building or in corner of the map waiting for the enemy to kill their team and make their way to them.

Limiting the number of types of tanks would be alright, even if it increased waiting times as a result. All that means is you work on things that would entice more players to join.
Things like better rewards (a common complaint from what i hear), and other stuff like that.
Maybe introduce ratings based on xp rather than dmg (like somebody mentioned earlier).
Having each season consist of 1 tier doesn't sound too bad of an idea.

The premium account is added to the bonus for rating. For example, if you had 5000+ rating points and activated a premium account, you would receive 210% the normal amount of credits per winning battle.

I've passively earned about 1 million credits by playing rating battles. And yes, I agree, the queue times are too long and the rewards are practically nonexistent outside of gaining a ton of credits by playing tier 8 premiums.
Supposedly the 'reward' of playing rating battles is better matchmaking. On EU, NA, and Asia this is a complete lie. The matchmaker is almost the same as random battles.

There are too many variables to get two battles that could be compared. So instead, I'll have to do some math and take away some of those variables.
Let's say you earn 50.000 credits in a random battle without premium account
That would equate to 75.000 with premium account
Now if you were to make the same amount of credits in a rating battle, the bonus would depend on your exact number of rating points. To make this easier, I'll take the median from each league.
-> 16% for the gold league
-> 49% for platinum
-> 66% for diamond
Here's the tl;dr
Random battle - 50.000 credits
Random battle + (premium) - 75.000 credits
Gold league - 58.000 credits
Gold league (+ premium) - 83.000 credits
Platinum league - 74.500 credits
Platinum league (+ premium) - 99.500 credits
Diamond league - 83.000 credits

Why not make the ranked season last 4-6 months if youre going to give out the same awards from 2 seasons ago anyway?

Why does this happen in Rating? Why do I need to do 7,000+ damage to win a battle? How is this different from random battles? 🤔
For perspective: There was a full HP E100, IS-7 and a 3 shot E75 left. Probably a doable 1v3 if it wasn't supremacy, but still....combining those HP to my damage, I would have done 10k damage just so I could win a battle in rating....incredible 😂

One problem I have seen in NA ratings is 1) you need to wait forever to get in battle then half the time to balance your team you get 5 30% players on your team who sit in spawn.

Hi. An easy fix to get more people playing rating would be to give a special daily multiplier to rating games, perhaps in different colour. More opponents and less opportunity to rig and best of all; shorter wait

No the point is that people, not saying u are, will get into a vc and all join rattings and be on both teams due to small player pool. Then they will rig the game and target people either out of their group or out of their clan, then will screw around and waste time until they either force a draw or one side lets the other kill them.
The fact that there are so few rating players allows for people to rig games at the expense of the enjoyment of the other players.

@ornate spoke Rating queues are typically only 10-20 seconds for me at most times. Agree that rated is a mess. Battles should only be with players of the same League. Tired of carrying silver and bronze muppets just like in unrandom battles. WG need to provide more incentive to play rated. As it stands its worse than normal battles.

I run 2 accounts and in one I ended with 3340 points in gold league and in another with 2656 in silver league. It all depends on what noobish teams you get.
I played tier 10 ratings and I got an 26%wr player in my team with a battlecount of 23k battles. The others has 38-43%wr while the enemy's WR varied from 54 to 68% wr..... Rating MM sucks.
Last battle in tier 9 playing my type 61 ended with 5 players doing no dmg at all
