let’s take any map with a major ridge line both sides must capture to have a chance of victory. On one side there are no ATGM tanks, the other does. The ATGM capable team can strike the non ATGMs tanks without much risk, whereas the non ATGM tanks’s only chance of fighting back is going over the ridge, which is obviously a terrible idea.

The whole point of cover is that you can't get shot behind it, so you need to change what you define as cover now. Shallow slopes with no actual cover are now no longer cover (assuming you are getting completely focused by a Sheridan on the reds), but that is about the only change
Maybe now you can't make as many mistakes and stay a distance away from cover, but that's a mistake to start with

That's a good idea actually, but I'm not sure if it would ever be implemented. I think WG likes to have timed premium account to make people feel like they have to play otherwise they waste it, which makes them play more and so more likely to spend more
