I think the idea was a tactical nuke in one weapons bay and sidewinders in the other. On the way out after hitting Moscow they would have downed any AWACS they came across.

We'd probably have even less of them.

#

YF-23 with the GE engine was the best performer of the four competition planes. It was also the most expensive. The Pentagon was not happy with the cost overruns of the B-2 and they loved how the F-117 performed in the Gulf... that played a big part of why the Lockheed beat out the Northrop. The F-22, Pratt and Whitney plane was the cheapest of the four planes.

Truly a beautiful plane. We just don't make them like that anymore.

Each one was hand built and they all flew a bit different. Pilots got to know them individually.

It was a revolutionary plane. Everything had to be designed to handle the temperature extremes. Even the fuel. The most amazing thing is that it was designed using slide rulers and yet it went from an idea to operational in less than 10 years.

To slow the air entering the engine to subsonic speed. You can't have supersonic air enter the engine

Same reason the aero spikes move in the SR-71

The F-14 had movable flaps in the air intake to slow the air.

Newer fighters have found a way to design the inlet without these adaptations... But they are also limited to a lower top end speed

Ghost shells are a thing with client refresh while the shell is in the air. The engine they run the game on isn't exactly top of the line and changing the engine would be both enormous work as well as cause tons of downtime only for players to complain they can't play the game. @sharp wave

I have roughly the same scenario, in ratings I have 1544 average damage in my emil and a 35% WR over 51 games. I can tell you now that this is all my fault, I have been playing awfully and I fully deserve that WR. It is not teams that have made me lose at all, it isn't something wrong with the matchmaker, it is me being way out of position and not putting in effective damage as said by @tired anchor
Stop blaming the teams and take it as incentive to learn to play better @iron anvil
