As for KV-2 it’s just an annoying piece of filth. Ruins the point of playing lights or mediums at those tiers with it and Smasher. Lights and mediums get too scared and can’t do their job with those 2 tanks around. Not counting SU-152 though that thing is not as annoying or scary as it once was.

I know people say KV-2 is slow and it has a bad armor profile generally but if it’s aiming at you that’s a problem. Trying to bait shots from it is easier said than done. Especially pre-nerf. It has a turret where as SU doesn’t. Smasher though is even worse. Like taking a KV-2 and giving it steroids.

Especially tier Vs because they don’t have the hit point pools. Even tier 6s though will often lose at least half or more of their HP just from one shot from a KV-2. It’s what makes people afraid of big derp guns. Because then you become easy for other guns to finish off with 1-3 shots after taking that big hit. It’s really not fun.

Not even going to mention the controversy over 183 which is somewhat a tier 10 equivalent to KV-2 and Smasher. Some say it sucks because the players who play it suck and the nerfs to it. But that HESH/HE damage is still nasty.

I can kinda agree it needed a camo rating nerf but accuracy nerf was unnecessary. The problem is the premium HESH. 1300 HP average is around half the hit points of even tier 10 heavy tanks.

It’s easy to say to learn how to deal with it but you must remember there are 6 other tanks you have to deal with too. And depending on what tank you are playing that can be a problem trying to deal with both a 183 and those 6 other tanks. Because let’s face it your teammates aren’t gonna be much help most of the time.

I didn’t say it was OP by itself. It’s the fact you tend to get distracted then it hits you. Not even an average player can overcome everything. I’d say only unicums can pull it off. Everyone else needs extreme luck and/or a very good team. Otherwise you’re screwed even without the 183 being an opponent.
I don’t know. It’s just big guns are scary. That’s the problem. It’s the fear factor not the effectiveness of the tank itself.

Hey, if u see 183 in enemy team during a countdown it should ring the bells in your head. Generally there are just a few spots where it must be lurking, unless the 183 driver is a good player.
in the medium, spot for the team and during that put some blinds in the td bushes and always reset camo + redeploy when u get spotted. Normally 183 is in spotlight right after med spot, or at least after it has shot once.
Let the heavy take that one shot, most likely it is low roll with HESH or bounce from ap, if the heavy driver does have any clue how to position the tank.
If it hits and pens with hesh, u were careless generally speaking.
Same goes with kv2
I think they are relatively easy to deal with once they have had a shot and most of the times the 183 gets that 1 shot and it's done.
If your team is weaker than reds, u would have lost anyway. It doesn't matter what td is behind the reds. Someone said already that jaegeroo is far more dangerous and I agree. That thing is a menace in capable hands, it can bounce, reloads faster and still deals 1000 HE dmg.

I dont want to bring a lot of op stuff into the game either. It ruins gameplay. Even a T28 Deffender can be counted as op in current gameplay. Burst firing 1200 damage can be idiotic. Having said that: I still would love to see them in game. They would be great tanks that, if you know how to play, can be great, but otherwise be more like 💩. Kinda like T-44-100 and all of its cousins

I'd wage the weight of the round, the size, how much room there is, if it's manually loaded, and how many people if any are loading it all come into play for tanks irl. How much those factor in, i dunno. For in game, since they can make it whatever they want it's all probably down to balance

It's unrealistic in the sense that it's an arcade game. Of course tanks will face others to ensure a fair match and not just a 1-way curbstomp. It IS a PvP game after all

Funny thing is the 121B has a 60% WR for me yet the gun depression tanks at that tier sucked for me. Mk 6 and M60 are not my kind of gun depression tanks. Should have known M60 wouldn’t be my kind of tank. Pershing sucked for me so a tier 10 rounded turret version of that would suck too. Mk 6 is hard because turret isn’t as bouncy as people suggest it is.

Each country had their weight classifications for their tanks. Germnay saw their panther as a medium whilst the US determined through their weight classes it was a heavy. We also classified the pershing as a heavy till the us changed their weight classes

A small little story I wrote today. Hope you all enjoy. (From the POV of a abandoned tank, I took inspiration from the images in the #blitz-memes channel)
*My crew has long since departed from these woods. My viewports are caked with dirt and grime, weathered by the wind and rain. Others have come and gone in years past, but only to gawk and poke around within my ruined hull and tracks.
None have taken the time to look at what is wrong with me. At first, it was a firing pin, leaving me unable to fight to protect those of my crew. Then as the years went by things were taken from me. My engine was dismantled, piece by little piece. My ammo was taken by the crate, used to power other crews' chances of surviving.
But I do not mind. I am still performing my duty: To protect, to defend. I might be unable to move, to fight… but I can still defend. I defend my honor to my crew by saving those who need it most. Those who can use me for shelter in rain and snow. For those who need money and chisel away my tracks. And for those who simply wish to look at me and feel humility.
I am old. I am tired. I am unable to return to my original state. But I will never hang my hopes out to dry. I will bear my heart on my side, and with my last scrap of metal, I will defend my homeland and her people. This I promised when I was built, and this I will promise when I am gone.*
