Russian mediums are the standard because they are the most friendly for someone new. And 50m has I think the worst dpm for it's class/tier. I think anyways

See, the issue with asking what med or td you should go is that we don't know what you like in a tank. I like gun depression, so the STB-1, the M48, and the Leo 1 all do the role, and are all unique at the same time. One has better armor, one a better gun, etc.
