You are only hurting your team when you use the 122. If you want a 122mm med, use one of the chinese ones. The absolute garbage dpm is not worth 120 alpha.

@storm robin the stock gun has 170mm of apcr pen which is huge, goes through everything like butter, goes right through a t1 heavy like it has no armor. More importantly though you have 0.345 dispersion instead of 0.441 dispersion which is a massive difference, you will have a much better time hitting your shots with the stock gun. And the alpha difference isn’t that big either, you lose 20 damage for shot for a gun that’s actually accurate and has ridiculous apcr pen

@solid gate well I’m sure you can use common sense to know that it has an invincible front plate at that tier, and no side armor, and turret that can be penned easily by anybody that can aim, so really try not to go hull down unless you can consistently wiggle your hull, and try to pull out from behind walls at shallow angles to keep a strong drive wheel

Getting rid off the ATGM is already enough and the speed was nerfed because it was having some OP P/w and acceleration to reach it's top speed.
The DPM makes up with the alpha, It's basically like Batchat but instead of can unclipping people for 900 instead you can eat people 560HP for 0,1-1s depends on how fast is your reaction when shooting someone.
The DPM is workable and speed is already good enough for a tank with those uniqueness, but somehow still is quite fast but not as fast from pre nerf.

The t7 is essentially an IS. Wiggle your armor and accept that you'll miss half ur 400 alpha shots.
The t8 is an Is3 with better hull armor (albeit taller profile). You may not have alpha but your gun handling is solid, and you got decent dpm as well. Find a ridge and go off.
The t9 is an IS8 except it trades dpm for 460 alpha. Rest of the stats are ok.
And the t10? Outstanding dpm, workabe hull armor (its surprisingly good at sidescraping), a fantastic turret, and an impressive front speed. Just keep in mind of an atrocious traverse and that your hull armor goes grey when guns look down at it since its mostly consisted of sharp angless.

The credit coefficient is very good (as ar as I can tell), I once hit over 100k credits. It is veeeeeery fast and mobile. I have nearly 80% wins in it. So yeah, almost OP.
Totally worth it. Possibly the best tier 6.

Just an idea im throwing out here: The Centurion Action X is introduced into Blitz as an alternate tier ten medium for the british tech tree. (Kinda like T62a and Obj 140) The FV4202 is reduced to 45km top speed and given an armor buff on the turret. the bufff would be able for it to bounce standard shells 60-75% of the time when using gun depresion. The gun's dispersion and aim time are slightly nerfed, or at least enough so that it is less effective at longer ranges. The Centurion Action X however, would have similar or weaker turret armor in comparison to the 4202, wold be faster (55km) and have less effective frontal armor. The action x would have slightly better dispersion and aim time than the current 4202 and 2900 dpm rather than 3000. Essentially, the 4202 would become a bit more brawly/in your face in playstyle while the Action X would be more of a sniper. Both would have the option between HESH and HEAT guns. Does this idea have merit?

Its just like other hulldown tanks except it's harder to rush because of the clip and autoloader. It doesn't have mobility or dpm to actually achieve much apart from holding one position, so as soon as you leave/flank the position it's pretty useless

Let's remember that only a few Ferdinands were destroyed by enemies, most of them were destroyed by the own crew (when the engine breaks, it's almost impossible to repair it because of the weight, so it was more worth to use it as bunker or destroy before allies capture if the engine breaks)

I’m assuming by t1 u mean the tier 5 American heavy, t1 heavy. You should play aggressive, hull down(showing only your turret on a hill or ridge line), getting up to people’s faces, and side scraping. The T1 is basically invincible from the front but does have a major weak spot. That being a little strip of armor on the lower plate but if u wiggle ur hill while moving towards and enemy, they will have a hard time hitting it. Even when switching to premium rounds the weak spot doesn’t get that much bigger. But premium rounds do open up some more weak spot those being the middle or top or bottom of the gun mantel or turret but those are hard to hit and the others being the drivers vision and mg ports @storm robin

It has the worst DPM and indeed just to compensate it for the thick turret armor, you'd suffer a lot because of the auto reloader mechanics especially with the trolly gun but it's a good tank unlike Emil I that can be considered an amazing and broken tank like CR.

no improved armor is nto always, its very rare. The best example I can give is the st1 vs e75. The st1s upper plate is decent while the lower plate is trash. The turret is solid, E75 on the other hand has a decent lower plate and upper plate while only decent turret too. Improved armro helps all 3 with the e75. With the st1 it really only helps with the upper plate while the lower plate will still almost always be penned while turret is always reliable.
@wise moth one thing i didnt realize is the emil 1 isn't that bad at sidescraping if enemies dont know about your rounded part, had to do it in an emergency with no other options
i would never really do it considering how good it is at everything else but its just a nice touch

The reason it's a standout is becuase in the right hands it is a very good tank, unicums are all over it the mo, just like any good new tank; becuase of this it appears 'broken'

You'd expect the Emil 1 to be a purely ridgeline tank, but it can perform outside of just nothing but ridgelines as well. Hull profile in general is strong outside of the lower plate, sidescraping will work in situations where you are forced out of hull down positions. For an autoloader, the Emil 1 has decent enough DPM at around 2100, allowing it to be rather flexible. The mobility of the tank isn't bad either, with its mediocre base mobility being padded by the tank's ability to use broken consumables.

Autoloaders generally lack flexibility due to the downtime they possess after emptying the magazine, but I genuinely feel that isn't the case for the emil. The tank possesses the mobility to position/relocate, and the armour to sit in the frontline so that you can control most of your fights, which more often than not consists of you dumping 900 damage on someone and then retreating. What's more is that the decent DPM of 2100 combined with the tank's armour profile means it is rather difficult for enemies to yolo you as compared to a 50 100, which is made of tissue paper. The combination of the mobility, armour and gun just allows it to out-trade every tank at a ridgeline

@tawdry dove For the tier 5, work alongside allies and consitently wiggle, your cupola is vveeery vunlerable to most guns, yes its small and decently armored, but prammo will easily pry it open, for the Tier 6, stay mid lane as you have even more weakspots plus there are tanks that can pen your armor more easily, overall theyre decent tanks but they can be quite irritating to play if youre not that good
