You are entitled to your opinion no matter how wrong it may be.

Valentine has:

Terrible penetration, not great accuracy for it's low penetration and low alpha gun.

Terrible maneuverability, beyond mediocre armor.

All of which doesn't matter even with preferential matchmaking because of how Wargaming buffed penetration on low tier tanks

It's spaced armor. So HEAT shells wont help. Only APCR and AP will do the trick.

Some thoughts about armor
Types : steel , alu ,composites all difference in reality
The type of metal in use has different property’s as we all know
Light metals give weight benefits but less protection per mm
Some composite in use use layering to have the best of both types
With less weight a good armor

Against E3's I don't even waste time shooting the cupola unless I have a giant tier X TD gun with gold. I either go for the tiny driver's periscope, or use HEAT to pen the roof if I'm slightly above it. Otherwise, you can spam HE at the cupola to splash into the roof, or go for the double overmatch on the lower hull side. Or just find a different target

Yeah just shoot HE at the E3 cupola. Its decent splash damage, and you will consistently damage the loader and commander there

#

Pretty much what I did to this aggressive E3 on the ridgeline. forced him to stay with two dead loaders for 90 seconds

WOW.... just got (and immediately free XP'd the upgrades for) the WZ-131G-FT..... aaaaand holy cow... I like this TD.... first battle I got 3 kills, 2903 damage, 948 base XP (3602 after bonuses and the daily double) and a 1st class mastery badge.... the gun is shockingly quick firing for the damage it dishes out

I used the pen gun to grind for the 62a, but when I went back to get the 140 I switched and I was very happy with the results. the dispersion improvement is noticeable. Really just depends on how well you can manage pen.

To be fair , if angles are good in the terrain , E100 outperforms maus 1 on 1 both have a huge disadvantage vs light and medium fast moving tanks in close combat. To manage this issue inname , the own team should cover the rear as well as scouting in font to yield most benefits of the heavy tanks and heavy TD

How about adding the P1500 Monster , a ultra huge TD with a 800 mm main gun developed in blueprints only , Germany way to mobilize “Schwerer Gustav” on a Tracked vehicle .
I know town maps are a no go for this toy , and most tanks can not pen it

@solid gate That doesn’t really matter. Some tech tree tanks in PC are collector tanks on Blitz, for example the Badger or Super Conqueror. Or you could go the other way with the FV4202, which is a tech tree tank on Blitz, but a premium on PC.

The german luchs , puma maultier and a few others could be added to light tanks in techtree
Maultier mit nebelwerfer would be a nice alternative to the USA rocket tanks . Pro more rockets in magazine 6 pices , con less accurate,longer reload time . Halftrack is also a bit easier to cripple . Perhaps a nice tier 9 or 10 . Also could it barrage like multi barrel in a panic burst spreading devastation in a single blow

Why are lttb players normally awful and salty? They either rush into half of enemy team, or stay in back and miss every shot. In both tactics they get 600/700 damage. Anyone else notice that? Then they call you a bot.

Also I don’t notice good lttb players but that’s probably cuz it’s overruled by the times they are awful. My bias on my part cuz I only notice the bad ones

Kills doesn’t mean good player.. seen plenty of bad players just pick off low health tanks and lose in the end cause they lack skill. But a person that dies with no kills because the “team” is a group of individuals that doesn’t help makes a bad team. Nobody can win a round on their own.. but I’m still learning so maybe I’m wrong.

If you lose, it’s best to look at your own gameplay and see what you could have done better. Was there a positioning error? Could you have made a play that would have influenced a win?

Damage and kills is always nice, but it’s easy to sit back and farm them whilst your team takes the beating and slowly dies

There is a slight issue with damage and kills when talking about what makes a good player, ultimately the way to win is to get 7 kills, and each kill you get means one less gun to fight back. You can't judge single battle performance off kills but ultimately you should be seeking kills over a bit more damage. The skill in judgement happens when you have a choice between a kill and much more damage and you have to decide in that instant which is more useful, and thats something that you have to pick up through experience

For example with me my (tier 10) damage ratio is 1.84 but my K/D is 2.46 because what it looks like I do is hunt guns instead of damage

Making those small decisions when you are taking out guns is significant for the outcome of a game.
You see people make the wrong decisions a lot of the time with ignoring the one shot tank, or making a bad decision when they have the choice of two one shot tanks to take out. For example;

Not killing the autoloader first, and then getting clipped to death after they shoot the other tank
Having the choice of a heavy and a light, and ignoring the light tank and allowing it to run away - usually resulting in a draw if it’s endgame

Just two situations off the top of my head that I see regularly

Everything has way too much armor for the armor piercing shells to cut it even with preferential matchmaking.

It's also slow and doesn't have enough armor to protect itself from the average of about 84mm of Penetration in tier 3 and 4 now

you get either a 100 mm that has TOLERABLE rate of fire but not the armor to make use of it.... or a 122 mm that has good firepower but kills your stealth rating so you get one shot off before being seen and get shot to hell...... I don't know if this is the goal of WG but it seems like the Russian TDs are hard capped.... the high tier machines might be great.... but the XP requirements to get off the 100 is awful.... and the tank is beyond bad making it not worth grinding through..... I'd rather try and fight tier 10 tanks with a stock T1 tank.... at least the battle would be over quickly

To bad that the jg-pz E100 has less dpm than jagttiger , less frontal armor and more expensive ammo

I suggest it needs a buff to deal with its pre decessor in the techtree
It may be a upgrade for the gun in exchange of experience to raise DPM to simulate levels as jagttiger or slightly better
The pen value of standard is ok at almost 300 mm without booster

As far as written accounts was the E 100 developed as Superheavy tank 2th gen , should be a bit faster than the maus due it’s adaptive suspension
Guess it’s a nice thing to apply also in both

You forget the gun is heavier and so is the ammo and the super structure needed to support the recoil and cannon and ammunition also no it does not need a dpm buff because why make it fire faster

German heavy tanks are based on 1930-1944 technology , E100 Leopard1 and indien panzer are after 1944 , just like is2 and higher is also after 1944
If wargaming decide to make an event on date shuffle german tanks does dominate in most cases

The E75 is based on tiger II , E25 is a mix between light tank and Hetser
To bad that the little turret on top does not move where you watch expecting the commander to spot and protect it self from troops and unarmored cars

Honestly, playing with Tiger 131 on gravity mode I felt a good lack of armor, basically every tier 6 enemy can penetrate you if he aims a bit he/she will penetrate you

But I don't think it makes the tank bad at all, it's just not the type of tank that I expected

Good cannon for a heavy tank with a nice gun handling, nice turret armor (if we ignore the cupola), armor can be troll but not something good, HP pool and a great looking

Welp, I would never buy this tank for more than 3k gold because I don't think it's worth a tier 7 tank price, luckily it was only 2500

A proposal for E100 , turretplacement on blueprints suggest the position of the turret could be backside , front or middle . Maby add the option also the weak bar on top is actually a relic from factory to lower the turret on top , should it be hardened steel instead . I understand for game issues a weakspot is needed in heavy tanks for fair play reasons , I suggest viewportal andturn spot of turret as a weaker spot

The CDC has enough acceleration to peel the skin off your face if you're not careful, that thing takes off! I'm a little unhappy that it's capped at 60, given that the tank feels like it could go so much faster, but the acceleration is really nice for jetting out of tough spots

@unique shale Well they are all solid tanks, it’s more about your own preference and what you enjoy to play, and all 3 are used in a competitive sense if you are interested in that sort of stuff.

IS4 and Maus have good armour profiles, but requires angling to be truly proficient in them. Though in random battles, even without angling properly you will still do decent with them honestly.

Wz packs very high dpm, solid mobility in a straightline, but lacks traverse to keep the momentum. Has a solid turret and upper front plate to bully mediums especially.

Pen is fine, damage is average, I’s like to see a RoF or armor buff for the entire line starting at the T20, the entire line is either mediocre or underperforming compared to it’s counterparts.

Take a look at, idk, the Pershing for example. It’s got a decent enough gun, but that’s where the advantages end. Then look at the Panther 2. It’s got way more armor, it’s faster, it’s got a better overall gun (personal opinion) and it leads one of the best mediums at T10 (heavily biased statement btw)

TDs in general are meant to be more ‘vulnerable’ than other classes as a trade-off for the gun.
The vulnerability forces you to play the supporting role and be in the backline, which is generally what the class is about. Obviously, not every tank destroyer fits into this, which is why some of them do receive higher HP pools such as the Tortoise at 1800 base.
TDs by tier nine are packing significant DPM and alpha, so they do still shred heavies HP pools.

Sabot rounds are not used by tank destroys, as far as I know they were used in 17pdrs first in WW2.
Not all Sabot shells can easily pierce armor, it all depends on what armor you’re shooting and the possible penetration values the shell can put out
there are like 5 types of shells in this game, and This game is an arcade style game to start with. If you want to play with Sabot rounds go play War Thunder

Some newer tanks like kv5 have less weakspots than techtree vehicles , I suggest the weakspots wich are added like viewports and Machelen gun placements could be straightened to fix the gap , like vk100.1 and mauschen and E100 .

The KV-5 is a pretty old premium that was buffed a while ago. Its distinct weakspots are the turret sides and cheeks

T95 is better with the new speed boost consumable, but it isn't doing it's intended purpose. T95 is supposed to have obsurd frontal armor in place of mobility.
Although I thoroughly enjoy surprising medium who are trying to circle me, I would much rather have the T95s lower plate restored so it has decent armor again. The capolas are perfect as they are, a vehicle needs at least one frontal weak point, even the T95. But entire lower plate along with the capolas just compromises the purpose of the vehicle.

Keep in mind the T8s the T95 fights. A lot of T8s and a decent amount of T9s struggle to pen the lower plate without prammo.

@solid gate The KV-5 is not a new tank at all, and is actually crippled by weakspots which give it’s armor very little usefulness. It also has the choice between 2 bad guns, either retaining low pen or low dpm, and bad mobility. I think that the KV-5 is nowhere near being overpowered or even good, but that you struggle to counter it.

Also meds can out maneuver it, until it activates engine boost back up in 20kmh for 15 seconds, but after that u can still out flank a t95 via tracking and speed

It’s facing the less problems as the tortoise on 183 line. But when ur frontal armour can’t even do what it is supposed to do, it’s needs some sort of buff, and even with the engine boost, that’s just 15 seconds, after that u have to hope that no one meds will come to you in 90 seconds

Yesterday i played a couple of battles on tier 4-5 and there were 2 players in red team with 10k+ battles on tier 4-5 vehicles. And they almost don't play on mid or high tiers. If there are such players who like low levels so much tell me please, what's holding you at those tiers? Why not going up to tier 6-7 and 8-10 in future?

Why Lorraine when you can literally get AMX 50 100 for free on tech tree?

They are very similar, but Lorraine indeed has the mobility, and more clip than 50 100, its a medium too. Only thing that are noticeable is both has thin armor profiles and thats it

Only buy it when you have no prems, but i would get IS-5 if i were you (or Löwe if you hate grinding for Tier X Clan Supply)

This is ridiculous. The PC version not only has a 120mm lower plate (175 effective), it also actually has a strip of armor that’s 120 mm. In blitz, the sides are just 80 mm despite the stats indicating 120.

I still want the 1-4 to have an armor profile that actually matches the PC version. It’s not gonna change the play style but at least it means there’s actually 120mm of armor on the side

I think WG has been nerfing Progetto 65 too hard
like 0.325 accuracy in a medium, bad dispersion factor, bad dpm(it's autureloader idm about that), and just kinda slow in general

The Ferdinand is probably more suitable for the front line, though it is probably the worst of the heavy tds and you have to be really careful on what angled the enemies hit you

Not quite, the intended use of the Jagdpanzer E 100 was for Anti-aircraft, if one were to use the E 100 hull to do so it would need a rear gun mount
