Doom turtle is only for the memes, yes. It’s not very fun anymore. You cannot just roll up in people’s faces and hurt them while they panic. It’s sad. It used to be a very scary tank. Now it’s just a meme tank just like Tog.

You know what? I think the Type 58 was better for me than the T-34-1 or the T-34-2. I may have raged and complained about Type 58 at times when having a bad run in it but I also got like 2 Aces (maybe 3) in it. T-34-1 wasn’t so kind and T-34-2 is just about as bad. Maybe should try the 122mm on T-34-2 for more than 2 battles but the 2 battles where I tried it I also lost. Guns don’t help stop you from losing because stupid teammates.

Well especially if you can handle like E8 pen which is only 2mm more. Though the Type 58 and Victory have less gun depression too. However, they have better alpha per shot and more troll armor.

VK 30.01 P is basically a faster Tiger P with less armor overall but not as big a cupola. VK 30.01 D isn’t easy to play but better tier for tier than 02 D I suppose.

Well some make fun camos but I’ve yet to see the realistic ones. Most, if not all the ones, from the competitions look digital or outlandish. You wouldn’t roll out on a real battlefield with them. You’d stick out like a sore thumb.

For a “fun” camo (since night doesn’t exist in this game) I’d do a Midnight camo. Oh and a Harsh Weather camo for another “fun” one.
Most of the rest would be biome centric. Desert with dunes? Got that. Rocky desert (like with hills or in a desert canyon)? Got that too. Forest, jungle, tundra, grasslands, you name it. Winter camo I named was Winter Winds though I haven’t made any yet. Think of Winter Winds as white with fog like grey or something like that.

Hi all I need help. Just finished a battle in the t30 using 640 alpha gun. However, I rolled just 399 damage in one shot using AP ( see photo) and just 470 alpha in the next. Is this normal? I thought the AP damage is 480 to 800??? I checked again after the game, and the correct gun was selected!!!

It’s a consumable some tanks have which means that when they get hit whilst it’s activated, they take less damage than they would have done if it wasn’t activated.

Load gold for the IS3D. Most mediums and lights will not be able to penetrate the pike nose with standard ammunition, either load the gold if it is enough or use your mobility to avoid frontal engagements.
Most heavy tanks and tank destroyers should be able to go through it frontally with standard or premium rounds.
T28 Defender has a strong, angled upper plate but it has 2 cupolas on the turret which are about 60mm thick.
The turret cheeks are also a bit weak, I believe they are around 160mm thick, or something around that.

Other than the top speed it's a very decent tank. Great gun, dpm, handling, penetration, good armour all around. Try angling your turret a bit, the track pieces on the turret sides counts as 40 mm extra spaced armour.

It’s accurate? Nope. Mediocre to average accuracy for T32 but doesn’t have the alpha of a Russian heavy or a VK 100. It should be close to the Tiger II in accuracy but it’s not. It’s not as bad as Russian heavies on accuracy but it doesn’t get that random “Stalin guides the shell” thing. Meaning it doesn’t get those random hits (some snap shot hits) that are shocking on how they even hit. T32 is the worst tank in the line I’m sure.

T32 needs better accuracy or a pen buff or a bit of both. It shouldn’t even have the T29 gun realistically but if you are going to give it that gun but put it a tier higher make the gun better. It’s not really better than it is on T29.
T29 utilizes that gun so much better. The gun is a joke on T32. T32 is just well armored target practice. Cannot hurt much of anything back.

Also I say you need good team because while you have high dpm that’s with rof not alpha. The alpha damage is crap for all of them. Only thing you have to watch out for with Tiger II is premium ammo and high pen guns. Oh and don’t be on flat terrain. The gun depression isn’t the greatest but it is workable.

@open solstice You can brawl pretty effectively, but the most important thing to be aware of is the fact that you're very very good at farming damage. The 121 has one of the best combinations of damage per shot and DPM in the game, which means you're able to just consistently do damage.
Because of this, you need to be sure to stay extremely vigilant. Keeping an eye out for possible targets is one of the most important things you can do in the 121 (and any tank in the game as well).
As far as equipment goes, I use Calibrated Shells, Super Charged Shells (since you already have great aimtime), HP-buff, Engine Power buff, and Refined Gun (again, you already have great aimtime). Be sure to also equip your provisions and consumables. As far as consumables go, I've toyed with the idea of running the Engine Boost consumable instead of another repair kit, but I've mainly just kept with Adrenaline Rush, Multi-Purpose Restoration Kit, and Small Repair Kit.

@broken sentinel It's not that good, but it's not that bad. It's kind of like a Tiger II and AMX M4 MLE 49, in that they're all kinda like tier 8 Mauses, you roll forward through the open, and some shots are gonna pen you, and some shots aren't. Basically, the EXP trades the DPM and mobility of the Tiger/AMX for extra alpha and penetration. It's not an amazing trade, but it's not exactly the worst trade either
The height of the tank is also a double edged sword. On the one hand, when coupled with the great pen, you can butter right through a lot of tier 8 heavies since a lot of tier 8 heavy armor relies on angle, but the massive height of the EXP and the 10 degrees GD completely nullifies that, but of course, the downside is that you're absolutely massive.
All in all, it obviously has its downsides in its huge height, sluggish mobility, and weak side armor, but any tank that can fulfill the role of "giant riot shield spearhead" can have a massive impact on battles in Blitz that is not to be understated

Yeah I agree. I just can't get around the fact that it's also riddled with weakspots all across the front, which nearly nullifies the fact that it's heavily armored on the front. Half of the success people have in the EXP comes from the enemy either just not aiming or not knowing where to pen.

I refuse to ever believe IS-5 is a good tank, or was ever a good tank. It's a hulldown tank, but it's given up almost all ability to play the positional/hulldown game with its horrific accuracy in exchange for some hull armor that isn't good enough to compete with tier 8 heavies that have actual hull armor. It's trying to do the job of both an IS-3 and an AMX M4 49, but fails miserably at both

Well the Sheridan ATGMs sounds like they were a lot harder to guide irl than in game. Not that everyone in game gets the more modern like ATGMs the game has right. Some kinda suck at hitting with them.

Eh the 90mm is only better for not losing credits. The pen on it sucks though. 173mm is crap. And now we have the British FV301 which has much better pen and equal if not better mobility. Granted the FV301 has lower alpha but compare T49 with 90mm to RU 251 and it doesn’t hold up there either. RU does have the issue of being longer and having no gun depression over the rear but it is shorter and therefore has better camo rating than T49. It also has 180mm of pen and a higher top speed. Oh and I think it has better dpm. Don’t quote me on the dpm thing though.
Which I guess it is good that T49 with 152mm cannot spam cheap HE as it’s annoying enough to get hit by that. But realistically the T49 and XM551 Test Bed should be separate tanks.
And don’t tell me use APCR on the 90mm as that defeats the purpose of it costing less to shoot stuff with it. I don’t know. I just think RU 251 does it better despite it’s own flaws and now we have FV301 has better penetration than both for sure and maybe better spotting range. T49 is probably the lowest on the list of the 3 tier VIII light tanks.

Another cool feature is it’s extremely wide gun turning radius. Don’t need to keep your tank straight to shoot. I’ve liked playing mine when I need to carry and guarantee a win

All these tanks are good. But if you wanna have fun I would say you to go for lights line, Mt 25,Lttb and t54 lightweight are fun to play

I’m considering stopping the American line at T20 anyway because I hate Pershing. It’s not a light so not as fast as them but the armor is no good plus it’s big and sucks at climbing hills. Funny that is sucks at climbing when hills are supposed to be it’s friends. T20 is like half the height which is why I like it. Though T20 could use a buff I suppose. Probably to the turret armor.

Well if I cannot do well with Pershing then M46 is not for me. Heck even T20 is a struggle at times. Oh and I bet E8 is tough to play now with all the tier 7 buffs and heavy buffs. Just a lot of buffs to stuff around the E8 but it hasn’t been touched and has one of the lowest pens at tier 6 I think. T-34-85 Victory has 2mm worse and that’s about all I can think of off the top of my head.

E8 was ok when I last played it but that was before the heavy buffs and all that. T20 was before heavy buffs for sure too.
Now another tank I’m not doing well with is T-34-2 but that’s probably just me. With Pershing on previous accounts (which I had Wargaming delete) some people would say it was me as well. Well I disagree that it was just me. The tank just has little going for it other than premium ammo pen. The overall armor profile sucks, it’s sluggish when climbing hills but also only has 3rd slowest speed among mediums, and it’s not got good accuracy really. Oh and the AP sucks.

Well good for you. But I do play on mobile which is why one type of ammo is better to use. Hard enough to focus on all the other tasks like shooting a target, flanking, seeing where your team and the enemy team is, and all that. I did when I tried it. It’s distracting for me and frustrates me more when I need to use the right type for the situation but cannot get my dang finger and the button to work. It’s just too much of a hassle. Besides I usually do well enough with just AP only. Even in tanks that don’t have the best AP pen. But with Pershing is has other issues that just cannot work around.

Oh but I do have a phone that is twice the size of my old one. And no Positive an iPad is a bit too big of a mobile device. Hands spaced too far apart and it’d be awkward. I tried it briefly I think and didn’t like playing on iPad.

Well I tried Blitz on PC once. Unfortunately I had lag and there are too many buttons when you start throwing in using commands. A lot simpler to just use the arrows or WASD to drive and the mouse to turn the turret and shoot. Oh but no autolock like on mobile. Though there is a kind it’s so much different than mobile autolock.

I never used autolock on mobile, it's screwed me over too many times to count. Also, PC auto-aim is way more useful than mobile

@solid gate PC auto-aim isnt meant for aiming like mobile auto-aim is. Mobile auto-aim is designed to compensate for the second you need to stop aiming with your thumb to press the shoot button. On PC, aiming and shooting is effortless with one hand, so PC auto-aim is a tool for doing stuff like traversing your turret to a target while looking somewhere else, or keeping your turret steady while driving, or depressing the gun in a side hug

Eh console has auto aim but it’s awkward. Locks onto center mass of tank and makes it harder to aim than just aiming normally.

I played on mobile for like 3 years before switching to PC. Believe me, I had to adjust to PC controls a lot, but it was ultimately worth it in the end

And maybe Positive has one point. At least with the tier 8 mediums (and some tier 7s) I shouldn’t play them. I’d just screw up using premium ammo on them and their AP pen sucks. (Well except for you know the Germans, the Centurion, and French.) Lights have the advantage of speed so they can flank faster and easier than the mediums and they have better camo than the mediums.

It's between support and frontline. It's no VK100, but it's certainly able to take a fight. It has the gun stats to dish out punishment almost anywhere in front of it regardless of the range.
The armor is only good if you know how to use it. You can't overangle and you have to be aware of the tank's armor profile. It's kinda hard to do that if you're stuck on a small-af phone screen :p

Who cares about lower tiers. It’s nice that I won’t have to grind from tier 1 to get the Kranvagn when they put it out. I just need to do unlock from tier 6 onward. Lesser grind, which is always nicer. Won’t even be playing those lower tiers again, so it’s better to not have to use up free xp to skip those

@fervent sand I was gone and was on about the Löwe. I can work it with my phone size but it’s still not easy no matter the size of the mobile device imo. As Christian said you cannot over angle it. Though I think my problem is less over angling and more people just hitting the lower plate at times. I screw up a lot.
