T54E1 on the small 90mm autoloader with 4 shells, has an uneven amount of ammo capacity. it is one shell more than needed, or, as i like to call it, there are 3 shells missing. you dont get the last clip fully reloaded, it will only reload one shell.

THE INTERESTING PART
Reloading with an empty clip adds the shell straight into the gun bypassing the 1.33s autoloader entirely, this means that with an empty clip you have 3.99s reload
If you were to do single shots on a full clip, you would first have to wait 1.33s for the shell to load into the gun and then an additional 3.10s, but wait, that makes full clip single shot reload actually 4.43s!
HOW IT SHOULD BE
Start with an empty clip
You load the first shell into the autoreloader in 3.99s
The shell gets loaded into the gun in 1.33s
Rest of the shells are loaded into the autoreloader in 3.55+3.10s=6.65s
Thus having a clip reload of 11.97s
Clip is full and you have 2 options
- Single shots every 4.43s (13.5 rounds per minute and 2167 DPM)
- Empty clip in 2.66s for 480 damage and then fire single shots every 5.32s (11.28 rounds per minute and 1805 DPM)
CURRENT PERFORMANCE
Fire off clip in 2.66s for 480 damage and then
1 SHOT EVERY 3.99S FOR 15 ROUNDS PER MINUTE FOR 2400 DPM
And also every ~3.5s you're not firing you charge up literally free damage
You're encouraged to expend the clip, which contradicts the way the mechanic is supposed to play like, as a choice between DPM and instant burst damage vs instant burst damage at the cost of lowered DPM unless you wait

650 hp in a tank with the generally thin armor of a Sherman isn't much for a KV-2 to take out. Also, the KV-2 is pretty easily spotted. It's a large vehicle with generally low camoflauge rating, unless he was also running camo netting and sitting still.

For the new m4 reautoloader You can always reload 3rd shell fully (and not use the others) and have a reload of 3.1 instead of 4 seconds of the first shell and use the last 2 only when needing to clear a tank , giving you nearly 3.5k dpm

@valid lodge actually the autoloader on the SP 1C is the better choice in general, especially since its interclip was buffed. The SP 1C is not generally a great sniper, since it has really low shell velocity. So the dispersion difference is not a huge deal (only 0.002 difference anyway). The SP 1C is not a great tank to sit in the open to take advantage of straight dpm either. What it is best at is sneaking in and delivering a surprise attack, taking advantage of its great camo and view range. Thus the autoloader really fits better with its playstyle.

@glad sapphire As much as I love my FV4202 I think buffing the turret will make it too strong, maybe if you want a buff other aspects can be considered?
It's upper glacis is already extremely strong and buffing the turret may make it into a T22 medium head on, with gun depression and HESH

If you look at 4202 on the charts then it is performing well. It shouldnt have an amzing turret when it has mobility, depression and HESH. It is balenced as it is and asking for WG to change is is just asking for trouble because they cant balence tanks at all.

You can also get wait, get unspotted and then get behind or beside them. I don’t think it’s a very fast tank so it shouldn’t travel too far

Mantlet sturdy and front plate can deflect 225 use pen if angled. Lower plate is the only weak spot that I know of @viral lodge

Tiger 1 is a good tank for starters. The comet requires a bit of skill, while the T25/2 and Challenger are a bit tricky to play unless you are good with your positioning.

Personally I have the tiger line up to the tiger 2 my friend had the t25/2 and said it wasn’t worth. Challenger is decent but u have to be committed. I also have the kv line to tier 8
