It's a gook tank. When I play it I try to remember it's a med, even if a mini Tiger. Use its decent mobility and try to maximize its dpm potential by engaging early and often. Don't be the last survivor of your loser team, or you will die fast

Use the protos amazing depression and dpm and work the ridges while wiggling your turret to bait shots. You should find the tank works super well then @sleek lodge

@solid gate It's because blitzhangar/blitzstars use the old aim time system (which is the same stat used on WoT PC). In a patch a couple years back WG changed the aim time display in the garage to a different formula that also takes gun handling into account in addition to aim time

Can anyone tell me what do you think and how is gameplay with the Cheftain/T95? Imo from the stats it's a quite solid med tank with the good gun penetration. Also I love his look. I'm thinking about saving gold for it or wait for something better. Even if then which medium tank premium would be better than Cheftain? Type 59? Panzer 58? I don't include heavy tanks neither meds with high alpha and low reloading guns. Thx for any advice

imo the type 59 is better. I own the Chieftain/T95 (bought it recently) and it has decent speed, upper hull protection, with good dpm, gun handling but low alpha dmg and lackluster pen for a HT. The turret is incredibly good, and you get 10 degrees of gun depression, but the cupola is gigantic and it's hard to hide, and is made of cardboard. I find myself going to where MTs usually go or playing ridgelines, since the pen while workable or not good enough to effectively deal with HTs, and the pathetic side/rear/lower plate armour means you're gonna get penetrated from everywhere. The Chieftain is more of a heavium, and it's by no means bad but I wouldn't call it as good as a tank like the Type 59

Yah that mini turret as thought is a big weakspot, but how about flanking? Personally I love flanking and attacking from behind with medium tanks, and looking for a premium that can do it. The last thing I want is fighting face2face with ht such as e75 or kv4 lol

the T-34-3 has no issues with its pen, you're never gonna head on any HTs anyways. The dispersion is good enough with refined gun and the aimtime is amazing. Most shots will either be for lightly armoured targets or the sides of tanks. 250 HEAT pen also allows you to basically pen almost everything

@solid gate it pens like a SU-122-44, not great, but it's terrible a big alpha vehicle with good mobility. So the Skorpion pen and alpha are a big move from T-34-3 and will make things even more easy, I will be more expert this way

@rigid thunder because you can't 1 Vs 1 in that tank, the minimum reload with all the dedicated provisions and rammer is 12.6 sec, but you can let team spot the enemies and support with the gun, using your ultra armored turret as protection. Find disleveled terrain to compensate the lack of gun depression and you're in for big time sniping

I always wait until my target is engaged already and I flank it or more easily I do that from the distance if the opportunity presents itself, without moving the tank

I got Excelsior the last Black Friday event, with half the original price, the extremely low pen makes it hard to play with AP, but if you don't use many APCR, the low cost of the standard ammo will make you a ton of credits, plus if you play hulldown, also with the turret put transversally,you can do many easy shots. The only thing that disappoints me in this tank is the aim time circle, so big for a 75 mm, I have to use equipments to reduce it a bit. It's a fun tank anyway

I prefer the laser accuracy of borsig, works better with its camo for sniping and also turret for snapshots despite the pen being a bit over the top. I would rather use the ISU if I wanted to play with high alpha because of its dpm and I think better accuracy (haven't played borsig with 150 in a while so dont quote me)

In real life it had -10 gun depression thanks to its tilting hydropneumatic suspension, had an autoloader with 6-7 seconds reload time (which would give it 5600dpm), and it had a 1500HP engine, which made it much faster than even a light tank such as the Ru251, and also both it's hull and turret had 3 part spaced armor which would make it immune to all HEAT shells in the game, and a hard pen for the most powerful TD rounds if not shooting lowet plate, and the actual shells it had had penetrations values of: 152MM APFSDS- ~350MM, 152MM HEAT - ~500MM
So if we had the historical Kpz70, it would be a tier 13 tank

@calm inlet selling premium tanks is NEVER a good idea, even if they are toons, because you get credits which you can make anyway with that premium tank. Only collectors can guarantee a bit of gold in exchange. Don't advise other players of selling premiums, because inexperienced ones can really do it without getting any good from it

@trail fulcrum its all about supply and demand. this is the first time the tank has arrived in the Store. When there's a ton of demand and a small amount of supply, WG can afford to put it in crates and sell a whole boatload of them. as the demand lessens and the supply increases when they sell it again, no one will want to play crates for it, so WG will sell it for gold or money at a fixed rate
basically, if you want exclusiveness, be prepared to gamble with crates. i hate the concept, trust me, but that's just how it is. WG wouldn't put tanks in crates if it didn't make them a profit

if you're down with waiting a few months, tanks will eventually be sold for lower prices and fixed prices. The 121B took 5 months to be sold from crates then to real money. the Chieftain took 2 months. now they're being sold for gold

@shrewd basalt in 6.1 the Panther/M10 will get a good buff:
Base aim time, from 2.21 to 1.82
Dispersion, from 0.336 to 0.307.
So it will be better and you can put its firepower to good use more effectively
