The difference is, the ISU has 90mm of HE pen, with a 900 avg dmg on the HE, that's enough to troll anything with little armor, like the Rhm or T49

The ISU has all the guns from the SU-152, but you have to grind out the BL-10

I used the stubby 152mm gun on the ISU while I grinded cause it was cheaper to use, and even if you encounter a tier IX with too much armor for you, you can still splash em with HE for around 300-400 hitpoints

I actually dont know, I've been working so many lines at the moment, I havent had the ability to put the M1 high enough on my to do list to get around to it, but I finally have mostly what I want on the other lines, so I'm gettting the credits to get the SU-100 to grind out the xp for the M1 right now, but from what I've seen from other people, the M1 is really good at running around hitting the sides of stuff, or second lining it, that tank cant take much of a beating

I think the SU-100M1 and the SU-152 have very different playstyles, because one has a derpy gun with little pen and a slow rof as well as lower mobility, while the other has good mobility with a 100mm gun that shoots faster and actually has some good pen for it's tier, so they've got different strengths they play to, SU-152 has a larger scare factor because of the gun, but the SU-100M1 requires more tactics imho

140mm of pen at Tier 7 not actually that bad, IIRC most medium tanks don't have much more than that (T-43, Comet, Chi-Ri, etc.). I assume that 140mm of pen is for the AP, and not for the HE as well.

@ember atlas, watch your angles. The armor will hold really well if you keep them right. When angled at 60° (not accounting for normalization), it’s gonna have 280-300mm of effective armor, depending on where you shot. Ideally, you should sidescrape the tank at an angle between 60° and 70°

I used to have the tank. It requires a lot of skill and it gets ammo WRECKED quite often(based on my experience). The stock is EXTREMELY painful. Since i didnt have the skill i kept on losing which means i earned less xp which means a spent more time in stock tyan when top modules are mounted.

I find it funny I used to trash the Nashorn so much. It's one of my fave tanks now. The DPM is admirable, and the pen excels in most tiers. I can pen the cheeks of a T29 turret using APCR in that thing 😝

That’s how I’ve noticed it’s been with most tanks. They suck as first, therefore you think you suck with them. However, once you upgrade the crew and learns more about what the tank can and cannot do, you git gud.

👍 👎 Both are good for different things. Think of KV-1S as a heavy tank and the Kv-2 as a TD If you want to be on front lines, the KV-1S is better, has a big boom but a looong reload time. KV-2 will be more support/td-ish as it cannot take a frontal assault but can dish out big damage

The kv1s is one of the Lords that rule over it's tier it was previously much better before the update it still works well the 122 has good alpha for it's tier

I just did few battles with hetzer kamo and it is unplayable now. I think the front was stronger before. Now it is penable by everything. Besides i had 5 battles against tier 5 and one against 4.

@haughty basin you’ll get slightly better DPM compared to the SU-100M1. The 219mm of pen’s pretty adequate against tier VIII HTs, though I recommend you to get the M62 C2 as fast as possible.
With the other guns, the tank has only -2° of gun depression, which makes almost all of the usual sniping positions a tad harder to use. With the M62 C2, you’ll get -4° of that instead, which makes the tank a whole lot more flexible to use. Sure, you lose some DPM, but in terms of alpha, 420 is a whole lot better than 310 alpha

Heat loses 1mm of pen for Every mm between spaced armor and main armor. so, for Heat shells, instead of being 2 plates, they'll be an unic plate, with also +X mm of thickness ( "X" is the space between 2 layers.
actually , high pen heat can go trough some spaced armors without many problems, the only spaced armors that really absorb heats due to the high space between layers are E100, jpgze100, Maus lower sides, T26e4.

@half wyvern. It makes decent credits and it is a fun tank to play if you like zero armor autoloaders. It's kind of like a slightly slower CDC with a 4 shot autoloader. The gun puts out about 200 alpha per shot and has a 2.5 second interclip reload. Loading a full clip takes about 20 seconds.

Personally it fits how I like to play well. I enjoy flanking and spanking unsuspecting reds. The ability to zero in on someone with 800 or less HP and send them back to the garage in 10 seconds is a hoot.
