Well, autoloaders tend to have worse DPM to their regular counterparts, but what they lose in DPM they gain in burst potential. It’s easy to understand

It currently has higher DPM than an LTTB and an SP 1C, comparable DPM to a T71
The Chi-Ri has awesome DPM, but that’s offset by it’s huge profile and lackluster speed.
The Comet has excellent DPM, but that’s offset by pen and general lack of hull armor
For the LTs, the nerf to the SP 1C was unjust IMO, but all the other lights perform as they should
I’m holding back on autoloaders tho, waiting for a suitable time to play one properly. Didn’t do too well with the T37

@tulip sail Autoloaders generally don't have good DPM since they are not designed to rain down continuous fire on their enemy.
More important is the clip potential. If a tier 7 autoloader can rush in, spit out around 600 damage in 6 seconds, and retreat, then it doesn't really matter if they have a long magazine reload, which affects their DPM.

@dim falcon. The heavies need to move with the lights and the mediums. Not the other way around. They have view range and agility over the heavies. Their job is to find the enemy and then your job is to move into the fight while they work to distract, guard the flank, or flank the red team. Go with your lights and mediums. The Tortoise is half decent for a TD. I’ve noticed that British TDs aren’t as nimble as the other TDs from other nations, but they make up for it in thicker armour and faster rate of fire.

In response to your comment about the 17pdr gun, I’d like to chime in.
I’d like it if they added the Challenger, to be the tank after the Cromwell but the predecessor to the comet. It’s a longer version of the Cromwell with an extra road wheel, but it has the turret and gun of TOG II.
Basically, if War Gaming could get some ideas for tanks to include from Gaijin Entertainment (the company that created War Thunder), it would be awesome.
Even if they add some in as premiums.
It is worth noting the challenger I mentioned is not the MBT currently used by the British Army.

@robust bane I just played it recently.....so I used to play it like Med with no armour ....you may get occasional bounces from the angled front from same tier meds and lights but play safe at start use gun dep conserve HP and to the end of the battle use that mobility hp pool and dpm to trade and ram the meds and lights too....

I don’t really know since I haven’t played those tanks, but I know that 140 is faster, less armored than T-62A and has 1 more degree of gun depression. T-62A turns faster and has better accuracy if I remember well.

Ah, so you got a ways to go. I've played the B1, yes it isn't good stock, but once it's maxed, it can work wonders. Now try playing a stock WZ-120, you start of with tier 7 HT pen at tier 9. So you can only penetrate sides of most tanks at tier 8! And then you get up tiered to 10, and hope nobody notices you.

@urban needle The 4202 used to be about having expertise to drive effectively because it only used HESH as main premium ammo. As of now, you have the option to use HEAt instead of HESH, which imo makes the tank worse. I wouldn't recommend it to a "average player", but if you want it, go for it. Just be aware that it's not "noob-friendly".

Very bad armor at first, gets better at tear 6 fun to play but don't let people get to your sides or rear especially the ones with good HE pen
