uhhhh, It's a great tank, mobile, has good accuracy and dpm (also gun depression), has access to HESH. The only real downside to the tank is it's poor penetration values so you won't have much luck going against actual heavy tanks

Rudy is a better T-34-85 while the VK 45.03 is a baby King Tiger. If you want accuracy and are good at angling and side scraping the VK is terrific. If you want mobility and like to wiggle on the run Rudy is great fun.
I’ve got both and have better luck with 88L71 on the VK. It doesn’t need prammo as often when facing the IS hordes. But Rudy is a damn fine Medium tank and can get bounces you’d never expect as you work towards the flanks.

It will really honestly depend. You’ll have to play it. Some people absolutely love the line, others absolutely despise it. T69 is not great tho, star of the line is most certainly the T57 Heavy

the dpm is ok for the kv5, 9.9 sec for the good gun avg dmg is 350 i think, and the t34 u cant sidescrape, or its super hard, they can pen ur super weak sides, kv5 they can barely pen u with apcr and HEAT and lots of bounces
the trash gun is quicker but the pen is 163 on ap vs the other gun the pen is 201 on the reg round (APCR)

If you want a game that requires skill, play War Thunder. It aims wherever you aim it, you have to account for shell drop, you have to aim for places other than a single weakspot over and over, and you have 2 other mediums of gameplay within the same game (planes and boats) that you have to account for. That’s just my opinion on War Thunder.

@solid gate - the Cent isn’t a speedster - the additional HESH and minor APCR pen increase is extremely desired IMHO, especially against tier X tanks.
Why would I use the HEAT gun, it’s rather pointless on the 7/1 and 4202. My point is simply that I use and recommend CS on tanks that rely on HE/HESH, due to the additional Pen is gives - and the nature of HE/HESH dmg.

@median oak i actually pefer the HESH gun on the Fv4202. Because when i brawl them versus Obj 140 and t62a the HESH can penetrate them frontally. Comes in Clutch. I find myself never using heat because the gun has pretty decent APCR pen.
But it is super nice of WG to add both the guns with different type of ammo, so people can choice what they want.

I personally would like to see a buff for the KV-5. It’s alright as it is, but it’s gun is a little lack-luster. If WG were to buff the aimtime, accuracy, premium pen or rate of fire the tank would be much more comfortable to play. Another thing that could help is the strengthening of the R2-D2 hatch and cupola. But it’s important to remember that only one of these things would be good to buff. If any were paired together the tank would become a little too strong. It’s fine for the most part, but it seems like it could use some touching up imo.

@bleak spire. Support medium. Find a reliable team mate and stick with them so that they can cover your reload. Clip reds that are dumb or that get tracked in the open. You are fast enough to get to where you need to be but you are not fast enough to run away effectively. You need to put a bit of thought into your positioning.
