Hetzer is my favorite tank as i just did 1700 damage flanking 4 - 5 people and killing only 3 of them ammo racking one of them and taking less than 100 damage the entire time

As to why US and British tanks don't equip with an autoloader, the reasons others have mentioned are correct. A human loader is lighter, faster to load, able to swap ammunition (something autoloaders can't do in current designs and requires the chambered round to be fired to switch ammo types) and something the others haven't mentioned: ammunition isolation.

Because the ammunition is in the turret with the breech in autoloaded designs, unless you have armored bulkheads between the engine, turret compartment and crew, a hit to the turret destroys the tank. There's great footage from the 1991 Gulf War of T-72s going up like roman candles when M1 rounds penetrated the hull, hit the ammunition in the autoloader and blew the tank sky-high. And since the T-72 didn't have such isolation, the crew was killed instantly.

Modern MBTs like the M1 and Challenger 2 use armored storage areas accessed through blast-proof doors to store the ammunition. Loaders open the door to retrieve ammunition for loading. If a hit penetrates one of these areas, the ammunition explosion is channeled upwards away from crew and fighting compartment. Lose the ammo, save the tank. Russian designs haven't done this so an ammo hit is a catastrophic event.

With an autoloader, you lose the main gun even with compartmentalization. With a tank like the M1, you only lose the impacted ammunition. The tank can still fight.

Autoloaders represent tradeoffs. I do think it is possible to design a compartmentalized autoloader that might be able to be as fast as a human and perhaps ammo change-out of ammo as needed. But it would be bulky, heavy and likely quite expensive. If you break the autoloader or take a hard hit, you could jam the autoloader even if the hull or turret isn't penetrated.

Usually playing low tier helps, sure, it takes time, but the cost to repair and resupply are much lower than a higher tier, such as 8 or 10. Premium account and a premium tank also help.

STB has crap gun handling and pen doesn't make up for it ,it's best in close quarter when you circle something or use the strong but not bullet proof turret with 9° of gun depression

@dreamy lantern very true. I use it to follow heavy's and support. If a light gets close its really hard defend against it. I try to back up against a cliff or wall. It works half the time.
