KV-2 is a crutch that bad players depend on to get damage. Put them in any other tier VI and they'd fail hard. KV-2 let's them barely leave spawn, lob a shot across the map, one shot some poor SOB in a tier V (who after 5.5 will just be having his first running with derp cannons), rinse, and repeat. No other tank (other then the 183) lets a crap player get away with playing like that.

I think education is the best way to fix this. When derp guns are removed from the bottom tiers, new players will get a real shock when they one-shotted by a KV-2 for the first time. There should be like another tutorial you go through when you get your first Tier V tech tree tank

WG has stated they want to make low tiers more friendly. Pulling all derps and then leaving a unchanged KV-2 is like telling your kid they don't have to ever swim and then throwing their butt in the ocean.

I don't want it removed. I want players to play it correctly. Camping a bush 10 feet from spawn, one shotting the first tank to wander into your view, and then getting murdered during your reload is not the correct way to play it. Nerfing the Velocity would force players to take their KV-2 closer to the front line.

Dissenting opinion. I don't see an issue with the 183. I do see an issue with the number being played and the number of TD's in play in higher tiers in general.

I think a (enforced) limit of 2 TD's per team would go a long way in fixing the problem.

Another option if you want to cut back on the number of 183's being played would be to make the cost to operate much higher. Makie playing the 183 a credit losing proposition similar to what WG has done with the T49.

I only play meds in tier X, I'm not great at getting damage, but I play a pretty good scout. My biggest issue with 183's is that once I spot them (from cover) my team is too passive to shoot at them.

My experience is limited solely to pub matches. I've become accustomed to the chaos there. I'm not sure how I'd do in a comp match.
