I don’t really understand the special train ticket .. like how it works . It supposed to be a ticket for one round trip.

However, I noticed this sentence in the terms and conditions:

“If the return journey is used first, the outward journey becomes invalid.”

I am a bit confused about how this works in practice.

The tickets are said to be valid from 00:00 to 23:59. But if someone wants to fully enjoy the concerts and leave the festival after the last show, they would probably take the “return” train after midnight or around 1–2 AM.

In that case, according to condition, the outward journey would become invalid afterwards. Does that mean the ticket can no longer be used to return to the festival later during the day?

If so, it seems like the full-day round-trip ticket is not actually usable for festival visitors who stay until the end of the concerts.

The most understandable way to get there and back is either via car or shuttle that goes from vienna straight to the nova rock grounds
