Can someone please explain why captain fieser keeps healing?
Everytime we get him low he gets full armour
its because you have to kill the "tank" behind him first using the crucible
Thanks
I'm kinda new but have nearly good tank and status build can i join?
just need advice for the build not to join a group ATM xD
for iron horse, if you are going to tank, try to aim for 91%+ burn resistance. Good for boss 2 + diagnostics on boss 3. Status build isn't used a lot at all except for maybe boss 3.
You should get a red dps build, good for many roles, for both raids.
@long rivet
Red dps is the most basic one everyone should pretty much have
As far as I know, burn resistance doesn't lower the "heat" damage you take in the control room (only the on fire and on fire burn damage). So without some outside source of healing of about 100k/sec, eventually you will die as the tank solo in there. Just solo heal it and have no worries
He was talking about the role of reading the codes not staying in the control room i believe - for that role fire immunity is more then nice to have
ya def for the code reader/water user
granted the code can be done without even going out of the room so really manily for the water user (which can be negated by just using a decoy too)
doing a gingerbread manhunt on operation iron horse easy discovery mode if anyone wants in?
doing a gingerbread manhunt on operation iron horse easy discovery mode if anyone wants in?
@normal pier do you kill bosses to? Or just the manhunt
@normal pier use #lfg-raid-pc
kill the bosses of course @misty swan
What is up with the Iron Horse Clan Banner and trophy? I haven't seen any update on the issue.
Not sure if this is the proper channel for this question.... Do raid teams have a certain SHD level requirement ? Me and a clanmate are around SHD level 130.
Most wont
Shd level won’t matter much
Builds and knowledge say much more about the player than shd lvl
Ok thanks was just wondering the two of us went to check out the first raid and I don't think we can two man Boomer, took away a couple bars of his health but I think it requires more than one Tank and one DPS...
Shd level does carry important passive strength via the watch buffs Plus guys at low watch levels will not have their specialization research points completed so their accounts are less effective even if gear is largely similar. Anyone below 200 ish is going to mostly be a carry in the dps portions of either raid
would their be anybody willing to show me the ropes of how to do the raids
It really doesn’t make all that much of a different
But overall yeah
Chances are those players aren’t gonna know all that much about builds since they just started playing
Hi Im looking for help with iron horse, im trying to get Regulus. PSN: Shellnanigans. Thank you for the Help @flint iris sorry for posting here im new
@somber fog use #lfg-raid-console
Can some of you help me do a raid I need some help with it
Sure
Use the lfg channels
What’s your PSN
He’s on pc if you don’t know
The watch really doesn't matter that much. In one of our IH FTC runs we had someone with L23 or 30 or so and he did pretty well, in most cases even better than most L2K guys who think they know it all. And it also doesn't say much about their experience, they might have played it to death before WoNY and just returned or play on different platforms or had great mates with top build advice from the start + lucky drops and so on...
And well, shouldn't a decent enough team actually be able to carry a FTC even if he is totally underpowered 🤔
Anyone tested momento ? Feel like losing a lot dmg
Fewer people doing raid it seems
far fewer. Fewer experienced players playing too, from what I experienced since TU11. Most of them are doing summit and other new activities.
watch levels doesn't mean anything after 1000.
Has anyone done discovery IH? And what’s it like?
Yes. What exactly do you want to know?
How easy is it and what mechanics are missing?
its definitely harder than Dark hours discovery
1st boss: basically the same
2nd boss: codes appears without blank spaces, codes needed to be shot at the right order, wipe mechanics still exist. heat stacks barely hurt you, only 1 rocket is needed for the turret, the doors doesn't required to be open for you (they open automatically) water pressure is much easier
3rd boss: boss doesn't come out until you release the lava, cogs doesn't need to be turn by counting (interact with the valve and the game will turn them for you), no need to hold the diagnostic button to solve the puzzle (once pressed you can let go and search for the yellow/blue boxes/valves), the letters can only be turn "down" (or minus), one rocket needed for the turrets, once you have the key you have 2 (!) minutes to interact with the stations
4th boss: all the mechanics are there. Morozova need to be staggered, need to destroy the shell on each phase. Only 1 rocket needed per turret, 3 for the shell, you can survive the electricity barrier by placing a healing hive outside
adds and bosses health pool are lower and you get less adds per room/phase. I hope that answer your question @tender hollow (i might have left couple things i can't remember)
about the difficulty of it - it depends, if you matchmake - it's harder the the normal mode, the lack of communication makes it really hard. If not - or if you have 2-4 players on comms it's pretty easy provided no one shoot Morozova
Lol. Doors opening automatically should’ve been there in normal raid
Time to bring my raid team through then
Time to bring my raid team through then
@tender hollow out of curiosity, does your raid team have trouble with normal?
would their be anybody willing to show me the ropes of how to do the raids
@viral patio Youtube should be your friend on that regard.
Wanna see the difference between normal and discovery with the team
1st boss we can’t kill him without overcharge
2nd boss guy in control room dies if it’s not the main and codes
3rd and 4th boss is fine
Hey everyone. My clan is finally able to consistanly clear 1st and 2nd boss, now onto the 3rd IH boss on normal difficulty. I was wondering what team comps people are finding success with. My theory crafting led me to believe a TP backpack tank, a FI chest healer, one burn resist dps for diagnostics, and 5 focus/vigi dps players should be able to take down the boss. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.
The tank should be able to do diagnostics, I think having a tank and a burn resistance dps is a bit overkill
Couple questions:
- Do raids require an immense amount of communication/voice chat, or can they be done without it?
- Does discovery difficulty make the raid easier?
- Do I need to spend hours building a specialized gear set/build for raids or can I go with the normal loadout I always run?
@normal mirage i always assumed tank was for the console button and then burn resist dps can kill the snipers. But will keep inmind maybe we dont need both, thanks!
Whats a good enough watch level to run IH on normal?
@echo bobcat i cannot speak to IH as i havent finished it yet. but for DH i have 10+ clear so i feel confident enough to provide some answers.
- Comms are a must, just boomer alone to call out computers people need mics.
- Discovery removes alot of very important mechanics, thus it is much easier, but exotics are not obtainable and it is impossible to "practise" for normal as the mechanics are not in place. 3. DH can be completed with a full red rifle build, only certain sections will require a healer, tank or an emp jammer build.
Is it possible to run IH on normal while being watch lvl 70?
I see, thanks for the answers! Time to get a group together and do some research
@lapis ridge theres nothing stopping you except builds
If you have the builds then ur watch is just free stats
Gotcha. Just asking.
I stopped playing before warlords came out so, its been a while lol. Slowly trying to get back into it.
Only chest and bp are exclusive
@flint iris yeah I have backpack but can I get chest on discovery or is it normal only
normal only for chest/back
Is it possible to run IH on normal while being watch lvl 70?
@lapis ridge I completed IH on normal and I’m SHD level 70
Granted I had a really good team helping me
normal only for chest/back
@smoky tapir thanks
summit 91 lvl just want to finish it anyone ?
@agile lily Hazpro tank for diagnostics, some also let the healer run diag, but we prefer the tank there and the healer on the ground with the troups.
Rest can be all dps. Though we prefer another tank for the consoles, diag one running tardi and the downstairs one running vanguard. Makes it easier for him and the team, he can shield folks while doing lava doors, can do the letters downstairs or protect the one doing them, and the two tanks can also make the boss fight a breeze one taking aggro and the other one helping with the backpack bouncing him forth and back between the tanks.
In addition we have 1 dps run demolisher firefly for heavies and boss backpack who is mainly on adds duty during boss fight.
Instead of tanks you can also use a status effect guy and just foam the boss so the team has it easier to melt him. But sometimes it's too much hit and miss and since we do ftc runs we like to use the safer strat for us.
@echo bobcat i recommend learning 1 role at a time, and branch out
Every time we kill Williams in the furnace, it immediately blows up after he dies. What are we doing wrong?
He drops a key... pick it and go up to 3rd floor and find the right console to put it in. Then you need to have your teammates activate each computer on each color on the 1st floor. You have to do this all in like 20-30 seconds
Thank you @late scarab !
yeah the main boss there is the furnace
Anyone down to do the Iron Horse raid?
And maybe get the ravenous?
I'm down, just ping me.
#lfg-raid-pc buddy
Just a pet-peeve of mine that I hear a lot regarding the last boss of the IH Raid. Shooting the "green lasers" does not do anything. It has been confirmed by one of the Massive Raid developers that their firing time and targeting follow a pattern and can't be disabled by shooting them. Even as I've pointed this out to people and shared the actual tweet from the developer (https://twitter.com/SuspiciousPixel/status/1293476041890181121), they still insist that "shooting them suppresses them". Frustrating to have people who continue to insist it does something and waste time shooting at them instead of adds. Just venting...
Let them shoot, why do you care? 🙂
If you're with them it's a waste of time....
Let them shoot, why do you care? 🙂
@vagrant wing
Well, normally I don't but there seems to lately be a rash of clans that have some 'raid script' that they use and won't deviate from - and apparently this particular clan member who was 'leading' the raid kept wiping on the last boss and was blaming it on his team members not "suppressing the lasers" for him while getting the chunga keys. Despite me nicely informing him about the developer comments and sending him the link, he continued to insist that "it definitely suppresses them to shoot them" and kept harping on the other players to 'suppress the lasers!" all the while adds are escaping all over the map since he insisted every one target the lasers. Fun stuff.
Oh i see. Sorry for your experience although i'm sure you laughing at it now... unfortunately these kind of ppl exist everywhere (even us behave like this sometime - i know i am)
Been there done that .
if im on the regulus parts quest step and i've already done normal difficulty this week, could i get the parts from discovery mode and then switch to normal after to get the last part from the key box?
Fresh Iron Horse Raid, Raid-Voice-4. Newbies or those wanting to try/learn new roles/positions in the raid are welcome (I will teach/guide). Only stipulation is that you must have at least a solid DPS build.

@gleaming shard when I join a random group and there are 3-4+ clan members from the same clan, 50% chance it will going go extremely well and 50% chance its going to be a tragic mess.
its the placebo effect since when they shoot them they turn off lol.
i still shoot, cause why not xD
i still shoot, cause why not xD
@uncut crypt
You should shoot at the chaingun in the middle too! If you shoot at it long enough, it will stop shooting as well! 🙂

@gleaming shard 1000 rounds in the BK, i.will.not.stop.FIRING!!!!!! NEED MORE DAKKA!!!!!
will iron horse bosses drop regulus project parts if I already looted all bosses, or do I have to wait for weekly reset
Lol on 2nd boss in control room why do people use a future initiative build? Their not healing others only themselves so why go for it
You can get 80% incoming repairs iirc if everything’s maxed out, 3 20% incoming repair mods and 1pc R&K
to use this build everywhere else as a healer if you are too lazy to switch parts lol
i think 3 piece would make sense
And on last boss you can go one healer on the right side.
2 up front on left side, 1 at the back taking care of RPG, 1 tank, 3 uptop right side and 1 at back doing RPG
because building 2 separate healing builds is kinda silly for most ppl. FI is good enough for solo and very useful for other parts of the raid because of the dmg buff. Why do you need incoming repairs? FI can solo heal with the doors shut forever.
if tank and healer both have ravenouses the RPG guy can die easily
“Shoot the green laser” is annoying. It’s on a timer and we tested it. Either way a key tank should never go down to green laser or anything in IH.
For a self healing build all you need is 2pc alps, 1pc R&K, 2pc murakami, btsu gloves. Repair skills in each mod slot and have repair skills and skill haste
You can get 80% incoming repairs iirc if everything’s maxed out, 3 20% incoming repair mods and 1pc R&K
@tender hollow because the 7 other people in the raid group will get 25% more damage if they each have full armor and everything including the boss will be killed faster. 7 x 25% = 175%. So its like almost 2 extra players in the raid group when everyone has full armor
yes, the future initiative buff still works for the rest of the team
its the placebo effect since when they shoot them they turn off lol.
@viscid fossil there is placebo effect going on, but how you worded it, you're describing the post hoc ergo propter hoc logical fallacy, more commonly known as correlation doesn't imply causation
I'd word placebo effect like... for the majority of enemies and mechanics, shooting at them makes it better... so shooting at this seems to make it better too
What's a raid?
A raid is a kind of mission that allows a higher player count and requires more communication and coordination than a typical mission or stronghold
I aee
See
I'm playing the free trial rn on PS4 and I only have like 5 hours left and I'm sad because the game is too expensive for me to purchase
But tis so much fun
Raids are the best part of the game, but it's considered "end game" content... it's what you're gathering gear to achieve
My friend was talking about like scavenging gear and stuff
Like tarkov but mostly different
Just the looting aspect of tarkov, and that's what got me interested
I couldn't even afford the game when it was on sale yesterday for $13
Now it's $33
can anyone here explain to me or any link for me to read. how to open loot box inside raid ? once a week?
@tender hollow because the 7 other people in the raid group will get 25% more damage if they each have full armor and everything including the boss will be killed faster. 7 x 25% = 175%. So its like almost 2 extra players in the raid group when everyone has full armor
@tender hollow
My regular guy who goes into control room has an all yellow build. When we swap it around the others use future initiative and that’s no help if everyone’s running all red and not at full armor
Unless they farm and get a belstone piece like me that has all the stats needed
What's it matter though. What someone runs is their business unless it's actively hampering others.
What's it matter though. What someone runs is their business unless it's actively hampering others.
@whole spoke Exactly why would you want people in your raid group to do extra damage
@whole spoke if you don't have proper DPS builds, that is actively hampering others, because others have to do more because of you
? Was reffering to someone running FI in control room up above
Lol dark hours boomer all you need is a ravenous and ad control becomes easier
And razorback
What's it matter though. What someone runs is their business unless it's actively hampering others.
@whole spoke on raid you run like a team not SOLO seflish mode , the worst community in division franchise are solo/casuals players
I was talking about someone running a FI build for control room above? Read the context above.
So not looking for a group right now but will be tomorrow/later are there any people in here who don’t mind running with people who haven’t done the raids? There’s 3 of us one being a healer other two main dps but can run tank or skill
The raid channels are empty. Is everyone doing the summit?
down time for most usually they be back in around 4 hours
I was wondering how hard it is to get an Eagle Bearer these days? I only picked up the game a few months ago after playing Div1 a ton, I'm sitting at 500 watch level with a pretty decent tank or healer build. Wondering if I'd be needing a carry if I could hold my own in a normal raid
@kind scroll Entirely depends on the group you get. It’s all RNG based, but I think most people who run raids on the regular probably have it already so they might share it if it drops. However, for dark hours raid, a DPS build is what you want to run outside of 1 person running a jammer build for drones on Razorback.
@cunning night ty
How do I unlock raids? I have the Kenly College unlocked but idk how to play it
Kenly College isn't a raid
get world tier5, or if you have the expansion, kill Keener.... and I think the raids will be available at that point
How long does operation dark hours take usually?
well depending on the team usually 40-60 minutes
if its a really good team it can go under 40
possibly even under 30 minutes
Ty
For a 9 sec LT gray isn’t it better if 1 guy wears the eclipse bp and apply’s status effects to him? 30% damage from Eclipse backpack, 15% amplified damage from overcharged pulse 15% amplified dmg from spotter and 25% dmg from vigilance and and 10% amplified from opportunistic
That’s 95% more dmg right there and 70% amplified dmg
DPS usually run exclipe backback yeah
Yes.
esclipse backpack is only from the person wearing it, not the whole team like overcharged pulse and opportunistic
BUT... yes, I usually am a survivalist for the 10% dmg for status effects to whole team
@latent pulsar no. Although you have to meet this criteria:
GS 480 for non WoNY owners, if you bought WoNY you have to complete it first
I'd recommend to have a good DPS build put together for the very least and to watch a vid or 2 about the mechanics. Use the channel below to find a group and good luck
Do ironworks base materials only drop from your first kills every week?
They also can be obtained by opening the key boxes in normal/discovery mode
I can't remember. But you can still open the boxes on discovery
Even if you've opened them on normal?
Yes
Awesome, thanks for the info
Question regarding the raids can skill builds like mortar be used is it mainly dps?
Or is it mainly dps?
Mainly DPS for raids
Fair play thank you @austere isle
Best finish working on it then 🤣 have a rocking skill build but dps is just ok need netter rolls
Better
The only real place for skill is boss 1 of IH if your team wants to use the oxidiser turret method but otherwise you want DPS
No worries I’ll sort it out soon it’s ok the build is right the rolls are just not there yet on my dps.
Hope this is the right place for it; I'm really interested in getting into raids but the whole thing seems very daunting, especially since there will be other people relying on me 😅
Any tips on how I get best started with raiding?
tldr: i'm spooked of getting flamed
@night folio I would start off by watching guides so you know the general process on what needs to be done and when. Make sure you at least have a fairly decent DPS build to start off with. Finally, I would say be honest with your experience with your teammates. I’d rather someone be upfront and tell me they don’t know the encounters that well then lie about knowing how everything works.
Hope this is the right place for it; I'm really interested in getting into raids but the whole thing seems very daunting, especially since there will be other people relying on me 😅
Any tips on how I get best started with raiding?
@night folio you can matchmake and do the discovery Dark Hours raid first. Note that there are major differences between the Discovery Dark Hours raid and the normal raid, so watch the youtubes also. People are generally recommending you should have a DPS build with ~50-60 CHC and ~150 CHD. If you have glass canon switch to anything else. For example Obliterate has almost the same damage but your not going to die every 1 minute.
What's the drop chance for FB / FI backpacks and chestplates in Iron Horse?
Also, once you've picked up a chestplate or backpack for those gear sets, can they show up in regular targeted loot, or are they always locked to the raid only?
Chest and backpack only drop in fresh raid
yes.
You'll be able to craft it after completing the project
Me and my two friend just lose our first raid where can i find people for raid
@night folio there are a lot of nice people that are exp in raids and would not have a problem guiding new guys, but you need to listen to them
nobody was good from the start
we were all there
join a raid voice group, ask if they would like to play with new people to raids like you and if they would like to guide you
@cunning night @tender hollow @devout kite thanks to all of you for your answers! i looked up some guides on youtube and actually managed to join a hella nice raid group yesterday!
That’s good to hear.
Is there anything different about the key that Williams drops in the furnace? Still bring it to the top and use the consoles on the ground floor?
On discovery mode I mean
Yes same mechanic @little steppe you just have way more time to put it in on discovery versus normal raid
@slate hawk really? Every time I kill Williams I have like 15 seconds before the furnace explodes
On discovery @little steppe ? That’s weird I have only done it once and it gave us like 2 minutes to put it in cuz on normal it’s only 20 seconds
If you don’t fix the pipes it’s 20s on discovery. If you fix them it’s 2 mins
Do the pipes stay fixed? So, could we fix them on the turret stage and then do boss as normal?
Yes.
Hey everyone. How are you guys getting past the lava phase of boss 3 for IH? we run diagnostics no problem but by the time we shoot the locks and break the lava the furnace explodes. Do we need 3 people on the ground and 3 upstairs to turn all the locks at the same time? Or just set the locks and run more diagnostics until we get the pressure back to zero? Thanks.
@agile lily When the raid was new, we had 3 people turning valves simultaneously and 3 people on the ground spotting them. Now, you can do 3 up top without the people down below. You can count the number of turn needed for each valve before you start the encounter or just alternate between each valve till they make the sound that there locked in.
@cunning night ok we will have to practise. My clan just started working on IH and this weekend was our first real attempt on boss 3.
Correct me if im wrong but the boss woll spawn as soon as we shoot the first lock right?
Yes, once you open a lava gate by shooting both locks/lights, the boss will spawn near that gate pretty much.
I would also advise that you only break the locks once all are locked in and break lava at same time. That will make the boss retreat.
@agile lily there're several ways of doing this:
- being what hunter said - this is the most "difficult" for inexperience group (it's hard on ppl to count and listen to the cogs sound)
- keep running diagnostics during cogs phase (note that you have to break one cog first)
- (and that what i suspect you guys doing wrong) keep doing what you're doing but don't break the cogs until they all aligned. When they're - break all 3 of them at once - that will save you the problem of dmging the boss
Yeah, without using spotters, that would be the most experienced tactic, but it is currently the most efficient. Even using people spotting you can be difficult. Probably was much easier for us in that particular case if you know everyone’s voice and can ignore the ones you don’t need to listen to.
@cunning night ah i didnt know boss would run once all 3 lava are flowing, thanks for that. @vagrant wing right so aslong as we start with pressure low enough and we break all 3 locks together, and ultimately break the lava flows at once, we dont need to dps the boss at that point. Im not sure i understand the "break 1 cog to do more diagbostics" though
I didn't said it's not the better way 🙂
It's just hard on inexp groups - which i suspect is the case here (no offence)
No offence, we r boss 3 noobs haha
We all were at some point.
@agile lily If you want to keep doing diagnostics during cogs phase - you have to blow up one lava first. You can't do diagnostics if you don't (you can interact with the station but nothing will come up)
@vagrant wing gotcha thanks for clarifying. Well hopefully this will enable me to rally the homies and clear this boss
Good luck!
This is just my take, but I would avoid running more diagnostics than what is required. It just adds more things to look for, then npcs can roam if they’re not watching. Just focus on doing the initial 3 as quick as possible.
Pressure only "stops" building once we have destroyed the 3 turrets and done the red valves yes?
I agree. Although if you do that - you have more time with the furnace - so it's up to the group. But generally i agree @cunning night
Pressure only "stops" building once we have destroyed the 3 turrets and done the red valves yes?
@agile lily Kinda. It's going up again when the boss is dead
The pressure never stops. There is a whole other process once you break all the lava.
Right the 30 second timer once the boss dies
The pressure never stops. There is a whole other process once you break all the lava.
@cunning night He was talking about the letters
Right @vagrant wing , misread that part.
Right the 30 second timer once the boss dies
@agile lily It's not just the timer. If for example you build up so much pressure it's almost at the end, you killed the boss, got your 30 sec timer - but now the pressure building up again - the furnace might explode before the time runs out
@vagrant wing ok thats good to know lol thanks for the help gents
No problem and good luck. First clears are always exciting.
Can I farm the regulus pieces?I got 1 piece from William and 1 from the last box.Can I still get them this week or do I need to wait?
@worn pasture If you already cleared the bosses this week and they didn’t drop parts, you will have to wait till next week. They are part of the weekly exclusive loot.

@cunning night Oh ok.Thanks for replying 🙂
@civic carbon use #lfg-raid-console
I am now thx 😊
FI and FB bp and chest can only drop in raid ?
Yes.
For those that have tried it, is Hunter's Fury any good in any of the raids?
hello, nab question, i completed for first time raid, last night! though at end i missed one key for chest! i was 4/5 ! any chance to return to raid to pick key somewhere or need wait to reset and do raid again?
You can return to the raid to grab the key, but you'll have to complete the boss again to get access to the chest again, from what i understand
@uneven garden Might try it on DH next weekend. Ty
Yeah the problem is with the memento backpack there arent so many adds to kill in raid to keep the 5 min buff
side topic we tried haz tank it the control room and it worked. When heat stack over 95 just need a fixer drone to offset the dmg
@charred hornet lets discuss here instead
there are exceptions to the all red factor buid, where sawyers kneepads could work out with nemesis for the last boss of IH
Sawyers is blue, not good
there are hybrid builds that excel in raids
Nahnahnah, blue not good, understood
@tender hollow what speedrunners?🧐
🙂
@green sphinx skill builds good at 1st boss
hey i posted in wrong thread. oops
but what i cannot understand working is rainbow builds, where there is the issue over not doing your roles
hybrid red-yellow is good at fieser
skill in first is questionable
@green sphinx good for speedruns, I saw some grps using it
imho, i think that a t0 turret will do the job and the adds can be killed off really easily with a pgc-vigil build
there is always exception, but in general if its not mostly red your not doing as much damage as others
Im doing with my 3 yellow 3 red build more than you
^ yeah i dump a 6 yellow core turret at B in boss 2, and it can take care of the adds at B
3 y 3 r is op
i really dont think it is?
because u can kill a red in 2s
and kill off a yellow in 6 at most
I did speedruns with it, ez sub40
You did speedruns?
@charred hornet sub 40 isnt a speedrun
@upbeat mesa trashtalking
different groups have different standards
Sub40 is speedrun
sure if you think so
You did speedruns?
@charred hornet @green sphinx
not with u?
No, I say in general
how fast should a speedrun be?
@glossy blaze I think sub50, because we tried hard for sub40
@upbeat mesa whats a speedrun for you?
im sub20 speedrunner, and u need 17 red build for that time
XDD
@charred hornet Nice trolling mate you got me, touche xD
@unique shoal i dont see ur name in the leaderboards
@upbeat mesa what u talking bout
im so fast the leaderboards cant catch me
Im PTG..
@glossy blaze check the discovery leaderbord for donald haha xD
🤔
with randos, not try hard clan
Discovery IH with randoms is harder than Normal. I tried but couldn't finish
one thats mad osama is ahead in DH
@unique shoal what clan?
dnt worry bby
?
its okay PTG dont question the world fastest
no, we know how to skip 3rd and 4th boss and kill iron horse in 30 secs, sorry but thats my clan secret
@unique shoal im asking for a grp, not only for the secrets
@charred hornet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDvM8-52lBU
the group in the secret
@tender hollow whats this
if you really really want to do you can replicate
@tender hollow I have no grp
oh
@charred hornet try Unicorn Clan, the only clan did Raid with Rainbow Build Top in leaderboard
@half wren What place?
@half wren What place?
@charred hornet 1st
Cool
Yes.

Do you have to wait for a weekly reset to get the Regulus parts?
Yes.
Aight, thank you
Yes.
@vagrant wing Yes.
Do you guys know why Raid need 8 people ?
Because it requires teamwork and 8 people working together
No, Apes together Strong
well technically u just need 4 people to do raid, but if you want a painless raid, min 6 people can do raid in less than 1 hour with keys
normal IH that is
If 4 people could get past the 1st boss no problem what stops 8 people doing it?
Can’t say lack of dps cause it should be there
If 4 people could get past the 1st boss no problem what stops 8 people doing it?
@tender hollow most the time i encounter were people who are under prepared or no mic to communicate and arrogant toxicity, other than that, the raids i hosted or joined, quite smooth
What is the best build for dh raid?
Groups I’m in they always get the boss to low health then it’s a wipe automatically. Team were speed runnings who could kill gray without needing overcharge. But clearly they needed it
What is the best build for dh raid?
@meager flame Pure dps, or if u want, striker 3/4piece with obliterate and bloodsucker or whatever u want
All dps. 1 person can run TP support with vanguard
So focus on dmf
Yeah
Multiple ways can work were it tested or can synchronise with other builds, like opportunistic and the overwatch talent
but some i see bring in status damage for ads/mobs
My clan can do gray without needing overcharge. Solid dps, opportunistic, spotter and vigilance. Pestilence, mortar build or m1a’s with boomerang or rifle man
With the core group
yup, many methods can work, key would be communication mostly
With the less experienced clan members we need overcharge pulse
3rd boss is easy and doesn’t need any cc or tank If everyone’s dps
fair
Cqb’s and fast firing weapons for the ads. M1a’s for the boss
@meager flame if you have about 150 crit damage is good for dark hours raid
Does anyone know what Skill Damage % bonus threshold is needed to play EMP on DH and one-shot the drones?
Also, does anyone know the maximum cooldown time between EMPs as an alternative? (i.e. how many seconds exactly you need to get cooldown down to if you're relying on Haste instead of Hard Wired)
I'm looking to run Future Initiative instead of Hard Wired to give the group the damage bonus (for when playing with randoms and less experienced).
I have Sk Dmg up to +82% vs Drones with the following:
Future Initiative: Mask, Backpack, Holster, Knees, all rolled Skill Damage
BTSU Gloves: For the hive resets
Wyvern Chest: Skilled talent + Skill Damage
Technician: calibrated for Skill Damage bonus
Not aware of any guns that can help especially, so have Mechanical Animal & Bullet King
The principle is that instead of going for HW I'm gambling on Skilled resetting the EMP cooldown.
TIA
82 is definitely not enough. It should be between 85 (with some talent like kinetic momentum/overwatch/glass cannon or demo in the group) and ~95 (not sure on the minimum amount but 95% should do it)
the cd for the EMP should be lower then 12 otherwise the drones gonna do some dmg to the group (even with 12s or less you need to time it right). It's also depends how many waves you'll get (or in other words how quickly the group destroy the weakpoints)
Damn, that sucks but thx for the info.
Do you know if there is a Future Init build that works?
And you can't count on skilled at all
(My quickest skills Haste was 12.8s if I went for pure skill hsate)
Skilled gives you 95% chance of success assuming there's 10 drones (I'm guessing the count, and obviously I'd have to hit them all).
That's still 1 in 20 failures, but playing with randoms we have big issues way more often than that anyway. 🙂
i couldn't get it to work properly after TU10 that's why i said it. If you tested it since you know better
Yeah, a friend was running the EMP, and all of a sudden EMP vs Drones struggles.
I guess HW + Overwatch or something would achieve similar. Just more of a faff and a small dmg buff.
(We've not tested Future yet, just HW, but didn't find the threshold)
Consider this build instead (i havn't tested it at all - so i have no idea what's the cd gonna be)
FI: mask, BP, gloves, knees - all with skill dmg
Wyvern: chest - skill dmg & haste
non-brand: holster - skill dmg and haste
potential skill dmg should be 6*10 + 10 (watch) + 10 (wyvern) + 10 (technician) = 90
potential skill haste 15 (FI) + 4*12 (mods) + 2*10 (chest & holster attr) + 10 (watch) = 83 and whatever you put on the pulse itself. No idea what the number of seconds it'll result into
(We've not tested Future yet, just HW, but didn't find the threshold)
And again the threshold is 85 + talent or 95 and above
Looks like it'll work but losing the BTSU feels like a risk with not being able to reset the hives.
It's a tough trade off.
I didn't manage to use the BTSU without glass cannon on the chest. Perhaps someone else manage to do it
Oh wait, I forgot to add the bonus from Future Initiative to myself...
That gives me 82% +15% if I'm on full health.
Might work then. Cooldown should be 12 ish sec or below tho
I think Cooldown is actually over 16s for that one, as everything rolled for Damage.
Basically you're gambling against the 5.6% failure of Skilled, but you'd have time to warn people they'll need to shoot drones, and you have BTSU for yourself to reset in an emergency if it's not already on cooldown.
Oh man, thanks for helping me think this through. Sounds like it might work.
Give it a roll what can i say? i just think you're going a bit too far with giving your team extra dmg - but might lose to the drones at the end. There're better alternatives (opportunistic) just saying
I was originally thinking Future chest + Opportunistic (crazy total buff) but wasn't sure if the cooldown (think it was 12.8s) was fast enough.
I guess my can't-compromise is BTSU, as people are always falling about all over the place. 😂
12.8 is fine (depends if you get 2 or 3 waves of drones)
I'll have to experiment with both, but sounds like a bunch of promise.
Where is the best spot to put the assault turret for Boss 2 IH on C upstairs?
Yes.
Where is the best spot to put the assault turret for Boss 2 IH on C upstairs?
@tender hollow does it matters? what build you're running?
@vagrant wing skill 6 tier because i want to dump a healing hive downstairs
Well not to comment on the choice of build here 😉 i always place my turret in a way it can cover the adds spawn and the power switch. Somewhere next to the edge of the box
@vagrant wing Ty. Might try it on the railing the next run
Just to confirm that Future Init @97% works. I did have Skilled fail to proc once, which scares the crap out of you. The randoms were bitching a bit, but mainly because I completely human-errored the first one (too early). But yes, you can one-shot the drones with Future Init.
I didn't get a chance to try the higher buff option. Another idea again is higher Haste + Calculated, but you'd need to find the sweet spot, and it still might not be viable to get it in in time.
^ if you have btsu, you have a get out of jail if skilled fails to proc, by breaking the hive. The added bonus is your healing hive recharges faster. I run overwatch + opportunistic instead on a non-gear set build
I’ve tested multiple variations of drone build and in order to use BTSU + crossbow, the chest pc has to be Wyvern with Kinetic or GC.
@brave crag the other people in the circle can have jammer on their dps build. Yesterday before we ran with you we did the last boss without a dedicated jammer. 4 circles used jammer with 2 going at a time. Few drones were left but we can surely mange that
So one circle along with one running fi uses jammer on first wave. And then for next wave fi and another circle uses it.
But will we be getting ground control buff all the time? Do we all have to be full armor to get ground control buff? I don't have a clear idea
Pretty sure he knows that. He just wanted a build to make it easy on randoms. The option you suggested requires a lot of coordination
Yes that's true
@restive herald For Drone Control I use Hardwire build all 3 waves i can destroy the drones
or u can use Status effect eclipse build for drones also works
Maybe if someone runs an almost all red 4xFI Pistol, Dodge City Holster, Punch Drunk build that might be optimal.
@half wren yes that works. But @brave crag was trying to provide dmg buff to teammates and do jammer at the same time by using fi.
@restive herald Future Initiative doesn't guarantee a buff all the time. We tested to check, and it's the recipient of the buff that needs to be at full armour. So it's certainly true that FI won't be giving the buff to everyone all the time, but it is "automatic" in the sense that it doesn't require the wearer to do anything in particular. Overwatch might as well be run by a DPS. Opportunistic looks like a good option, but relative to my quoted build, it might compromise getting the EMP back up in time for the next wave if running with FI. I can't run two yellows alongside FI, as that would mean no BTSU, and BTSU is my "non compromise" requirement as people go down too often.
@tender hollow The all red FI is an interesting idea. I was considering it for something else, but a DPS guy running that would take the FI load off the EMP guy, who could then run opportunistic + BTSU + EMP.
My next test will be whether Calculated procs & stacks when jamming a number of drones. If it does then pure haste might be enough to get the EMP back up, which would then allow me to run FI chest for a larger buff.
Has anyone ever run Calculated to reduce cooldown specifically with Razorback drone kills, and does it definitely 100% work?
I think you might gone a bit to far into the FI idea (not that i'm ruling it out) and even tho i'm all for the tests i think you miss something here.
The way i look on that encounter is: You want as much DPS as possible, but since it's better for the team if the drones are taken care of without any problems/unnecessary coordination you run an EMP build. Now If i'm gonna run that build i want to buff my team as much as i can - so far you and me have the same mindset. Problem start when the buff isn't consistent (like FI). Now based on some calculations i made (for another build - doesn't matter - i can show you if you want) 8% multiplicative dmg equal roughly to 24% additive dmg - that means that 10% multiplicative (opp) is better then 25% additive (FI) especially when it's inconsistent.
You can argue that FI with opp is the best - and it might be, but until further testing i don't see it that way. Especially when you use technician (which is kinda useless imo since you want the "useless" guy to use the crossbow).
So in conclusion, i think that for now, overwatch + opp is the best "tested" proven build either with HW or non-gearset (and again - i'm not trying to get you off the idea, just try to look at the bigger picture here)
Sorry for the long reading... i'm bored 🙂
@brave crag
Overwatch on a DPS is a missed opportunity imo. There are better talent for a DPS to use such as focus, spotter or GC to name a few
When you see the word "increase you and... dmg" it's additive - sorry
And btw to get 25% from FI you need to use an FI chest - which you don't. So...
Yeah, the have FI chest relies on Calculated working or similar.
opp should result in more dmg just saying
I guess I liked the idea that FI would be helping with the adds on all corners, whereas Opp is mostly just for helping boss damage, right?
But overwatch would cover that, anyway, of course.
Yeah you make a good point. But you can't hold the stick in both ends
I run 2blue full armor with red attribute for survivability. So I am losing 30% dmg but using a walker I get 5% back. If someone uses fi in team then I am at my normal dps level but also with some protection for myself
So imo having a fi helps. Since you can run jammer with it I think it's better at least for me.
Again you missed the point. 10% multiplicative is greater then 15% additive or even 25%
Iirc we discussed this drone build couple weeks back @vagrant wing lol and am convinced kinetic is the best imo
I forgot if it was you or someone else who suggests this @vagrant wing
yeah @uneven garden i know. I'm talking from a perspective of buffing the team here not killing the drones
I’d agree you the drone guy should just clear drones as 1st priority, with healing and BTSU as added benefits to the group
We see it differently i guess. Let's agree to disagree 🙂
Lollol nvm
it certainly depends on the group but 7 dps should be enough to 4 phase if doing back front back front
@vagrant wing With 2 15% loss I am adding them to 30% when they are actually multiplicative, right? So I am losing more?
@tender hollow close to the door on those boxes on the left.
@vagrant wing With 2 15% loss I am adding them to 30% when they are actually multiplicative, right? So I am losing more?
@restive herald that's not how the dmg calculated in this game
If possible do give an idea
which will result in this formula (as far as the community knows) base dmg * (1 + wpn dmg + wpn type dmg) * (1 + HSD + CHD) * (1 + x *(talent wpn dmg (additive))) * (1 + talent wpn dmg (multiplicative))^x * (1 + DTA) * (1 + DTH) *(1+ OOC)
where x is the number of additive/multiplicative talents (if you don't have any x = 0) assuming talent wpn dmg are identical ofc. If not add/multiply them
so FI additive dmg probably belong to the talent wpn dmg (additive) where opp belong to talent wpn dmg (multiplicative) since it's exponential it's raise the dmg quite a lot
EDIT: after someone brought it to my attention the formula is (on purpose) mathematically wrong. The mathematically correct formula look like this:
base dmg * (1 + wpn dmg + wpn type dmg) * (1 + HSD + CHD) * (1 + talent wpn dmg (additive) + talent wpn dmg (additive)) * (1 + talent wpn dmg (multiplicative)) * (1 + talent wpn dmg (multiplicative)) * (1 + DTA) * (1 + DTH) *(1+ OOC)
Thanks 👍

@viscid fossil Thanks for the pro tip. Just tried it and its perfect. I shoot his weakpoint from the corridor after the turret gets agro
I dunno, I felt like a babysitter trying to walkthrough others with the DH discovery, but glad I could teach under 100 watch level owners and Gear score players the ropes
...now I wish I responded to help calls
R anyone doing a raid i have a dps build with about 41 chc and 150 chd and watch is 278 would like to learn how to do the raid
My group does it weekly. We'd take you
After all the farming to finish the Iron Horse projects, I never thought that grinding blueprints for the magnum replica would hurt me the most...
whats typical IH group composition these days, 6 dps, 1 tank, 1 heal?
go to build for IH?
@azure fossil depends on the boss. Boss 1 (7dps,1 healer)
Boss 2 (6dps, 1 tank, 1 healer)
Boss 3 (6dps, 1 healer, 1 tank or 1 cc)
Boss 4(5dps, 1 healer, 2 tanks)
There are some other possibilities but this should work fine
Interesting, thank you
Is it much like DH, where adds wipe more than the boss does -- especially when people can't handle their adds?
@azure fossil they are all really dps and know what to do checks. the lower the dps and the less people really know what to do, the longer it takes and the more likely you will wipe.
Ah okay, at least as I feel - in DH the only thing that really consistently wipes teams is adds, and failure to control adds.
^ basically the same. failure to control adds = lack of dps and/or people not knowing what to do
Makes sense, most dps seem to have a hard time staying alive with adds
If staying alive on dps is a problem, then you are not doing enough dps! Basically a dps with full stacs should max 3 tap any enemies
3-tap, raid enemies? What do you mean -- Sacrifice build?
Crit HS about 5mio
I use 3pc providence with focus and vigilance, ceska, foxprayer, groupo or contractor gloves. With m1a classic, you can use sacrifice to but i dont hava a decent rolled one
The Raids are not the place for personal perference builds, if u lack damage the team has to compensate
well in the immortal words of Diesel the heavy Hyena, "Don't die motherfucker."
i'm p sure boss 3 you need to save couple DPS in the final stage for ads control
Why is DH on normal less stressful than on discovery?
Because usually people on normal are on mic and will listen to the raid leader even if their builds are not good. Proper footwork/coordination is 80 percent of the deal beyond just shooting stuff
public discovery is complete trash, people begged for public raid matchmaking and they got it
Nobody listens in discovery . They just shoot everything like it’s bank headquarters in challenge
Don’t shoot boomer kill ads , then you look over and there facetanking boomer with a lady death 🙄
I remember my first discovery game. I hid on the stairs with drone and turret haha
I tried discovery dark hours and it just looks like there’s a bunch of headless chickens running around blasting stuff with no general strategy
Reasons to NOT do discovery:
- it teaches incorrect timing, limited mechanics so that you're not getting the full spectrum of the encounters... only learning 50% of the mechanics, on a different timer/value of the mechanic does not help when you go into normal and the pacing is faster/harder
- people treat it as free gear, afk mode... half your group will either be afk, making dinner, or watching porn... so expect to be 1 of 4 actually doing anything.
- loot sucks and exotics for the raid arent there
- you're not learning anything, as mobs hit less hard, mechanics are dumbed down/non-existant, and timing is far slower... doing discovery and then into normal will actually hurt you more than just shooting straight for normal mode...
to sum: gear a decent dps build off youtube (just YT some builds for pve end game... isnt hard to see a pattern in what you should gear with) and then find a normal mode... dont waste your time in discovery at all.
The only issue with that is for solo players like myself finding a competent group is difficult
thats what trial and error is for this channel - it's easy to get into a group. simply be the first to join RV channel and get in - otherwise use reddit or Ubi forums to find a recruiting guild.
Yep still haven’t found a good group to reliably complete the raid and still haven’t had any luck with the eagle bearer
Thats unfortunate, but also as a solo player, you're lucky to have the discord avenue to get right into raid through this - as when DH came out way back when it took me a few weeks to even find my current clan, get into the raid rotation and then push through content - now it can be cleared within an hour or two depending on group and experience - keep at it tho.
Yep just keep on grinding the few times i actually completed dark hours was because of the groups I joined from discord it’s only a matter of time until I get lucky
in terms of difficulty how does iron horse and dark hours compare?
in terms of difficulty how does iron horse and dark hours compare?
@nimble surge dh silver5 iron horse global elite
dont sleep on silver
@muted horizon Discovery imo is for new players to get a feel of their gear. Most don't know how "good" is good enough for raid. I usually tell them go to Discovery, shoot some NPC and see how you do, then leave.
I dont get why people dont know how good their gear is. For a Raid you should be prepared. Watch some vids check the builds. For people who are to lazy to go to youtube and type „division 2 iron horse“ maybe the raid is not the activity
The same reason why you can sometimes get low SHD level players when you matchmake for Legendary.
i think discovery is scaled to 4 players and normal is scaled to 8. just jump in and struggle lol
in terms of difficulty how does iron horse and dark hours compare?
@nimble surge Dark hours is easier, but it will be more obvious if people don't do enough damage
Iron Horse is "harder" to learn because there's more things to learn. However, once you learn it, it's arguably easier

cool, thanks. I will check some videos out.
anyone seen a 22:34 IH by a Japanese team on YouTube. They skipped the rockets in the last boss completely
for 2nd - 4th phases.
@azure fossil ahh I thought so lol. just making sure 🙂 thanks
anyone seen a 22:34 IH by a Japanese team on YouTube. They skipped the rockets in the last boss completely
@uneven garden can you post the link please?
@twin ember i disagree - getting a "feel for your gear" can be done in heroic mode 4 man missions - if you can complete heroic or say kill an elite mob (yellow) with 1-2 clips using your setup, then you can go into normal raid - other than getting the layout of the boss encounters, I see no other value in running discovery as the mobs do not have the same amount of health as normal (giving the illusion to people that they can burn mobs down quickly in discovery), the timing is WAY slower in discovery (thus giving that player the satisfaction they are completely mechanics at that timing, but when going into normal are shocked at how much faster stuff happens), and overall not learning 50-75% of the mechanics in each fight correctly - example: waters on second boss being different values (thus only needing one person to do it correctly) - it's stuff like that will ultimately gimp a player more when they go from discovery to normal and see that stuff hits hard, takes a shorter time to react, and has more health to boot, as well as 1-2 mechanics that they dont see in discovery that drastically changes outcome of the encounter.
anyone got tips on blind turning on the pacman in major williams encounter?
probably the only thing i can't do in IH lol
lfg for summitt floor 96 need one more person to completre group voice 2
@timid belfry wrong channel, please use the LFG end game channel.
hey guys what is an optimal dps build?
Weapon dps?
3 prov + coyotes + fox prayer + 1 of (grupo/ceska/2nd overlord) for AR/LMG/Rifle builds.
anyone got tips on blind turning on the pacman in major williams encounter?
@dim patrol hold the interaction key for 1/2 a second and then let go. If you hear a loud click, it means the wheel is aligned and you can move on. If you hear a soft click, it means you need to keep going. Helps if the team is quiet during this phase.
thanks, i figured i couldn't hear because everyone was talking
it's kinda like unlocking a safe just like in the movies 😛 need quiet and concentration.
Another tip is that all cogs will all need at least 4 turns, so you can hold it down for the first 4 clicks, then go to the 1/2 second "one turn" key presses to complete each one.
Yes.
No.
It's actually between 5 and 9
What is the Stryker build for the last boss (IH) fight used in speed runs?
You have some variations but the most common one is
Striker: mask, holster, knees and BP
chest: perfect focus
gloves: Contractors
weapon: Sleipnir with perfect frenzy and dmg to health
@brave sedge
The common believe right now is that chc/chd doesn't work on the train at all so it's your decision:
Either roll chc/chd to kill the adds faster
OR
roll wpn handling to reload faster (better sustain dmg toward the train)
It's also depends whether you gonna use that build for the 1st boss or not
👍🏻
what does RV stand for in the LFG channel
Raid voice channel, I think
ahh, that makes sense, thanks
what builds should i focus to make for iron horse before attempting it?
DPS@young canyon
Anyone have DH Razzerback CP?
It's actually between 5 and 9
@vagrant wing That's correct, but the whole point of the "1-turn" method is to never overshoot it. Since some only take 5 clicks to lock, if you go 5 on the first turn you can risk overshooting it if you've got latency or can't hear it well. If you want to go 5 on the first round, may as well use the method to count how many you need before going up there. My $0.02 anyway.
Is there any sense in doing the raids on discovery level?
Is there any sense in doing the raids on discovery level?
@tender hollow for DH yes. for IH no. watching the youtube guides for both is the best and having a good dps build (50+ chc, 150+ chd, unbreakable) will ensure you enjoy the experience and can help the team
How in the world are you meant to have 150 chd I just barely got mine to 100
What's your build looks like @ornate steeple ? 100 is really low for a dps build
Full weapon dps build normally has like ~180 chd
•2 piece hunters fury for backfire and shotgun
•3 piece providence
•Ninja bike kneepads
That's a weird one. Could you tell me the reason for each piece?
•Well hunters fury for the +15% dmg for smgs and shotguns
•providence got the dmg and bonus crit chance and dmg
•and I don’t have a reason for the kneepads (I don’t even know why I run it)
And then I have a different build I’m testing (just made it today) which is 2 piece prov 2 piece walker and 2 piece hunters
Alright.
First when you're using gear pieces you'll never get as high as 180 chd just so you know
Second 3 providence is a waste (try and hit hsd with a shotgun) why not using grupo & ceska instead?
3rd as you said - kneepads?
When ppl say 150 chd and above they're referring to the 'meta' rifle build
3 prov, contractors, foxs and gropu
Any tips on how to speed clear iron horse? My clan can run it in 1 hr 30min-1hr 45min. I'm looking for ways to possibly speed things up and do it in an hour or less
Kill yourself instead of running after each boss
@vagrant wing hows this build for rifles I’m building up so far I got 50% crit chance and 113% crit damage
•1 piece Grupo
•3 piece providence
•Fox’s prayer
•1 piece ceska
Yeah my luck for gear is unlucky
I’m so far doing alright like once I get the grupo I’ll be close to 150% crit damage
@tender hollow for DH yes. for IH no. watching the youtube guides for both is the best and having a good dps build (50+ chc, 150+ chd, unbreakable) will ensure you enjoy the experience and can help the team
@tender hollow
I see, I were wondering because the DH dont work the same way as on normal, I m trying to get experience but seems pointless
tbh people were saying 110 chd before before IH launched, then suddenly everyone said 150 chd. but imo 150 chd for IH
Before IH 110 is something I never heard. 150 yes and all the time.
You use chd on weapon? Or weapon mods @tender hollow
Dps matters even more in dh 🤔
^^
You use chd on weapon? Or weapon mods @tender hollow
@icy hull its 49.6 chc, 209.7 chd with m1a (using +5 rounds, 1xchc and 1xchd), 1x ceska, 1xgroupo. with bullet king is 49.7/197.7
i mostly raid with randoms, and with randoms IH is harder
Ah rifle
60/185.7 > 49.6/209.7
60/185.7 > 49.6/209.7
@twin ember for solo yes
Keep in mind hell get +10 chc for 59% chc total
anyone there can help me the new raid i still need both exo weapon and the future chest. ? 🙂
don't you love it when you lose rock paper scissors so the other guy gets the ravenous? 😂

@west spruce did you manage to figure out the last bullet thingy ?
We decided to down the bullet to ensure it's not wiping us, not certain of the exact mechanic if it's safe to leave it alive and possible to wipe us.
Oh...I didn’t see that bullet, just the alarm
I guess it didn’t affect the time as you’d have to wait for 3 keys either way?
Yeah it actually won't affect, it's the same as you mentioned, have to wait for last 3 keys either way, you will have time to down it like regular raid run (6 RPGs)
Today is my 34-birthday and i wanted to celebrate with IH-raid because i didn't play it!Im experienced player with 1.5K hours so i think i should not be a problem with good team.THX for understanding!
Need 3. starting from lvl 81 .. GV7
THX guys very good run!I appreciate the effort! 😉
Will they eventually add the raid exotics to the loot pool? Even if its a year later I just want to be able to get them.
no
no
@rich echo it should not take a year to get a decent raid dps set up (weapon red core attributes build) to kill 8 bosses total with one pull of trash in between a few of them - what timezone are you in? I'm going to start pushing for training raids certain nights on this discord, around 9pm EST that'll put in the LFG-Raid-PC channel - i'll try to get you in for one so you can learn the fights/get the downs/have a chance at EB and Rav (regulus is a given once you clear enough)
@muted horizon FYI he isnt talking about a dps set up. but rather if the raid exotics are leaving the raids into world drops.
@icy hull i understand his question - I'm following up by stating that if he's having trouble downing the raid bosses, I'm going to be setting up training groups for newer raiders that can't finish the fights - I agree with @flint iris and you that they won't put those three weapons into world loot pool
👍
and if I'm incorrect that he's downed the fights and just having RNG issues on the drops, then that's something he needs to take up with an Ubi developer, and not this channel 😛
@muted horizon that’s also really nice of you to do that, setting up training raids, props to you bro and gl
@muted horizon I appreciate the help. Its not so much of I cant take them down its more of the fact that getting a good raid group can be difficult
@rich echo duly noted - yea pugging from time to time, i hear you on that front.
So what is the difficulty of the raid like just on normal is like compared to heroic legendary what?
you really cant compare since raids are scaled to 8 players,
Normal mode with 8 player scaling
Can range from super easy with 8 raid veterans that understand mechanics / raid builds to almost impossible with 8 unprepared, not fully maxed out first-time raiders
I just dont really understand what to do now like i did a full headshot and crit damage build with the diamond back and erkims rifle until i get nemisis but i cant do legendary missions due to being squishy af and matchmaking into a team never works so kinda lost
I like Visualsun's comparison
Usually, I don't like people's comparison, because it's apples to oranges, in my opinion. Usually, the answer is that legendary strongholds are more difficult than the raids. The challenge to the raid, though, is the learning process aspect of it. By the time you learned it, of course it's easier. The proper comparison is between a legendary stronghold and doing a raid for the first time. In which case, the raids are harder, even moreso if the rest of your group is new to it too.
Most missions you can push through with pure DPS and force of will. In raids people have jobs, they have to know how to do those jobs and communicate that those jobs are being done or the group will never clear it.
Yea i cam from destiny and like wow so i get raiding idk i just dont understand how to get more DPS or if i just need to totally throw away my build because i cant do the legendary mission or if i should just try to solo it because then it wont scale to 4 people idk
people have rules of thumb to what the optimum DPS build has, and you can compare to that. I believe it's 60% critical hit chance and 150% critical hit damage....
What Tycohh said, most weapon damage builds focus on 60% CHC and then as much CHD as possible. As far as using legendary as your litmus for ability to complete content, those are like 95% knowing target priority and not getting wrecked by the 3000 drones and grenades.
Just my 2 cents, there may be someone else here that can provide much better info. 🤷♂️
yea drones kill me immediately and i only play solo because i dont know anyone on the game
A raid is harder than Legendary. I've done Capitol Legendary with an SHD 50,100,150 and their builds were below average. I don't think 5 normal experienced players would be able to carry them through IH.
Legendaries you can cheese and take your time. Raids you have to kill fast as more and more ads keep spawning.
Some encounters are timed too
Raids are certainly more difficult than legendary from all aspects
legendaries seem to encourage skill builds and fight outside the designed combat area idk if it’s intended
I think we can conclude that:
NPCs on legendary are superior to NPCs on the raids
The raid is harder becuase it's not just shooting stuff
As to you @cerulean veldt - i wouldn't attept a solo run of legendary mission without a skill build (I'm not saying it's impossible, ppl done it but it's frustrating). I also suggest that you create another build for those kind of content like lmg/rifle/AR build. Because even tho I'm sure your current build hit hard, it's also take time to line your shot whixh make you vulnerable
@vagrant wing yeah legend adds hit harder. raid is less but need to be able to kill fast, and there is no tactical retreat in raids lol
I know. I tried to make a funny comment on a chewed up subject
Lol. A lot peep know what to do for raids but builds may not enable them to kill fast. like 1 mag + to kill an elite
go PGC
Are you able to apply bleed to all humanoid raid bosses?
Beside Dizzy, Ricochet and the 3rd (forgot his name) which i haven't test, you can apply SE to all humanoid bosses BUT some of them aren't affect by it (Morozova for example) and even if they do - usually it's extremely short duration @azure fossil
Okay, that's more or less what I figured. I'm using a filthy 6 red bleed build, and was wondering how viable it would be against most raid bosses
It won't. Generally speaking all skill builds are useless against the bosses (dmg wise. Maybe ongoing can work idk) unless you want to CC them
no, 6 red, no skill build. All damage amp applied by dmg to bleed and dmg to status
close to 7mil DPS, without Glass Cannon
Oh, sorry about that. I miss read. I can't see why it won't work then - unless you can't apply bleed reliably
No its okay, thank you much for the info
Oxi is not useless against gray
lol
I’ve seen stellar use Oxi against buddy seeker
Oxi works against the seekers, but buddy and lucy dont take se
But yeah generally skill builds are not so useful especially in DH
First: the bosses on IH have way less armor/health then their counterparts on DH.
Second: the groups that use to run oxidizer on Gray did so because they used it on the railyard prior to the boss spawn (except for that one group who used it as a proof on concept)
It's not as good as many thinks
Oxi works against the seekers, but buddy and lucy dont take se
They still do. Not bleed ofc, but you can still shock them
I forgot about shock, yea shock applies to buddy&lucy, but if you are not doing a speedrun with a coordinated team i would not recomend shocking them.
Oxidizer is a direct skill dmg just like assault drone or turret, it's not Status Effect hence it's able to directly damage seekers, Lucy Buddy and enemies or raid bosses in general.
Beside Dizzy, Ricochet and the 3rd (forgot his name) which i haven't test, you can apply SE to all humanoid bosses BUT some of them aren't affect by it (Morozova for example) and even if they do - usually it's extremely short duration @azure fossil
@vagrant wing Morozova is bleeding monthly already so she already build up a very high tolerance against it.
I disagree @warm ibex but honestly i haven't tested my shock build with a solid group since TU10
Jokes aside, raid/named bosses have higher status effect tolerance so the damage effect and duration won't last as long on them compared to regular adds. But if you can reliably apply it on them (say overcharge foam/fire grenade) it should still allow you to dish out comparable damage with complementary weapon talents.
I think that guy uses the Ridgway pride for bleed and the eclipse BP for dmg but i'm not sure
@vagrant wing you are talking about solid group, i was talking about average lfg group
But im in for trying it out to burn down buddy and lucy while shocked
Oh yeah - you're right in that case
the shock duration is shortened, same as bleed for all bosses.
It's not about the duration. @azure fossil asked about bleed in general and as long as he keep bleeding he should get the affect. About the shock - you can kill B&L in 5 ish sec if it's done correctly unless they changed something (tested after gear 2.0, without pulse stacking or any other exploits)
just use strikers for DH
running out of loadouts cant keep my pistol build 😦
yeah they shortened the duration. so you cant lock them in the center even with tamper. but ive seen a guy use tamper to stop her spin though at the start
yeah they shortened the duration. so you cant lock them in the center even with tamper. but ive seen a guy use tamper to stop her spin though at the start
@viscid fossil You still can. That i can tell you for sure. You just need to be overcharged prior to the trap drop
But it is a very short duration. You got that right
they kind of fixed it, where the duration doesnt overlap as often, maybe they added an internal cooldown to it
not sure, but thats what i think
I did test it kuku in TU10 maybe TU9 after the changes to status effect. I was able to shock them in the same way i used to. But yeah it was really short. Definitely short then 10 sec
what happens if you have a couple of people with tamper?
It's not about the shock itself. As Stellar said - raid bosses (and elites in general) have high tolerance against status effects now (i can't remember when they changed it TU9?) so it's not whether you can shock them or not, it's whether the shock gonna affect them at all or in other words whether you have enough status effect to overcome their status tolerance
It’s changed unfortunately . I used to shock them and we melted them . Now they just run through it
Again pretty sure it still exist. But i'm gonna test it just to be sure
Okie dokie
What i have seen the way to shock them is a dedicated cc build with acosta go bag for overcharge the shock trap
Yes.
So what is the likely hood that someone will even pick me up for a raid since ive never done one on here?
I mean, as long as you are clear that you havent done the raid before, and are open to fixing your build, a group is likely to pick you up.
to piggyback on to that question, i just ask that and specify im new in the raid lfg channel right?
Usually if you see a raid you want to join, but havent done/havent done much, just ask "hey, im new, can you look over my build and show me the ropes for the encounters?"
is there any particular reason why i can't donate "Badger Tuff gloves" to Foundry Bulwark project, despite having two in my inv?
they are, high-end & not favorited...
Are they crafted?
I'll try a relog, otherwise need to farm for Petrov gloves anyway
off to Jefferson Plaza I go, oh well
Bit of a new player question but it is about the raid. Me and three others were thinking about doing the raids on Normal or Discovery. How difficult would these be with only 4 instead of 8? Me and a buddy had trouble going in 2 man in Operation Dark Hours but we were barely 500 gear score anyway
Does Morozova drop IH key every time, multiple times a week?
@worn cargo they are for 8 people, Discovery is relatively pointless because you don't get loot and some mechanics are missing
I know they're designed for 8 people. Good advice about discovery though
yeah moro drops key every run
Yes, Discovery can be done with 4 people. It'd be more fun to get 4 randoms and do normal, though
The donation stuff shouldn’t be crafted, gotta drop
There is a 4-men IH on YouTube
Have you notice that vanguard on RAID give the bonus armor not only for allies but also for yourself? Is that a RAID bug?
PS: I’ve test it on both RAID and it happen on both
vanguard is supposed to give it to everyone, thats not a bug. its always worked like that
@smoky tapir not really. It supposed to give bonus armor for all your allies but not for yourself. It only give bonus armor for yourself on RAID (but not on the open world)
its always given it in the open world and raid. your included in the "allies" equation
Well that is not my understand and it never worked like that to me. Anyway if that is really that correct behavior it does not work on the open world only on RAID so in either way it seems be bugged
what does RV2 mean or 3 see it allot in lfg im new
@ivory venture you are right. The vanguard buff is somehow given to you as well in Raid only, but working as per description in open world.
@west spruce yeap just wanna understand if that is expected to happens on the RAID or it’s a bug that I should report
@coarse plover RV# -> Raid-Voice channel with corresponding Number
@ivory venture it's been like this since launch. They had several times to fix it if they wanted to
Good morning - new to the division discord
Been trying to find this place and none of my team mates was very helpful
@azure fossil tbh for others iwas able to craft and donate but badter tuff definitely was not working for me too
just want to verify, the dark hours raid... would it be better for all to have good dps builds or having tank/healer/dps in a group makes it easier?
All dps, healer for boss 2+3
any specific dps build? rifle/marksman or doesnt matter as long as you deal good damage?
I am loooking to do the dark hours raid and get the eagle bearer — got two straight dps builds
And I got a hardwired medic healer build that doubles as a decoy booster
Negotiators dilemma is good if doing a rifle build and SMG
It depends on the group @iron lake imo. Generally all DPS, but I’ve run with group that run an FI healer until razorback n in 20/25 mins so
Thanks
I’ve seen alot of guide on the raid but can you link me a good and easy guide to follow?
sure like mechanics or builds ?
For builds like many have said here 3pc providence, contractor glove, fox prayers and grupo/CESKA depending on whether your CHC hits 50+. Talents I’d say vigilance and unbreakable to start with
for mechanism I think @west spruce @vagrant wing know them inside out lol
Hey guys, I just came back into the game and was wondering if its easy these days to get a group for a raid? Havent made one yet on PC
Relatively easy - just keep an eye on #lfg-raid-pc and note the peak times when players are on (evenings, weekends)
Alright thanks, are healing builds useful for any of the raids? Or you recommend full DPS?
Future healer build @livid lynx used for iron horse
Oh thats what I have, sweet then ! thanks @slate hawk
The Future Healer build is good especially so since when you look at the bonuses, in a world where everyone has the potential for the same damage, FI provides a 15%/25% bonus to each player thus providing essentially a 105/175 bonus thus making up the loss of 1 damage dealer for what is essentially free healing then
whats does RV mean in raid lfg channel ?
Raid voice
You can still shock B&L pretty easily for about 4-6 seconds if you guys interested @viscid fossil @verbal mist
Oh sweet yeah that should be long enough to chunk them
Thanks @smoky tapir, is the build any good if I play solo? or its really a group thing
Future Initiative is best with a group. You wont be doing much damage, but each of your friends will be doing more, equalling your share of damage.
Alright. And what do you think of the Hunters Fury set?
Its worth using in certain places, but in others you are better off using a high end build as you wont be able to gain stacks. Best places for a hunters fury build are DH first and second bosses, and iron horse second and fourth bosses. Those encounters are pretty good for hunters, as you'll be able to gain stacks quickly and have enough targets to use the stacks.
And hunter's fury is very good in solo play. Armor on kill, increasing damage, its all very good.
Why second boss on dh?
Because a HF player can be on dedicated ad duty, and when their stacks are good enough they can switch over to the bosses.
That’s one less person focusing on the boss tho
And they only shoot him when they have stacks
Its not the best, but it can work
So I guess to clear raids I must really have a good build maxed out then? Damn im so not ready haha
Not maxed out, persay, but you'll need to know what does what and what to have.
Should I try the exploration mode before trying normal?
@livid lynx not really. No. A decent one should be enough. The raids are about communication and mechanics not so much about dmg (there're some vid's out there demonstrate it). High dmg is advisable not a must
Nah. Learn the mechanics in the normal raid, as some mechanics are entirely gone in the discovery mode, and it makes the transition into the normal raid much harder on you.
Do read up and watch some of the raid explanation videos, though.
I see.. well If you guys want to do it for fun one day, hit me up, Ill learn and follow your leads how it works 😄
You can always look in the Raid LFG chat, just specify that it'll be your first time through
Alright, thanks a LOT for the tips guys, much appreciated
Does anyone know if Foam staggers Mo Mo in the IH raid?
Say what
I'm just wondering, but I have a feeling it wont
I know the Hive and nades do, but unsure of foam chem
@visual harbor explosions only. You can read it in the raid description
Ahh perfect! Thanks!
For DH, what exactly needs happen to endure when weasel drops there is no gas followed by an orange gas phase
how does the exotic components drops for Regulus work, you have to wait for the next raid reset for the boss drop?
Yes first raid of the week per character @azure fossil
You have to put your regulus on another character (not just place it in stash) and when you do the raid each boss will drop an exotic component. Don't forget to get the exotic ignot from the chest at the end
https://ibb.co/W5qhbht
FI DPS Razorback build. I had 50.9 CHC/122 CHD but with OP gear it could be 47 CHC/152 CHD. It was ok. Cannot say its better than a DPS build. We did 5 phase.
@amber blaze I figured as much, thanks
@uneven garden You need to kill the boss with the purple gas first iirc
You have to kill on the switch . Then no gas on one side
If you kill after a switch one side will be gas free for couple seconds, that's true. If you want an orange gas afterwards you need to kill the one with the purple gas right after the switch
as far as i remember that is
Regarding IH control room (breaking the glass), what does 100% burn resistance do for you, and what of the tank in foundry room if they have 100% burn resist as well?
First of all you don't need 100% burn resistance. 91% and above is enough.
Second it prevent you from catch fire (you still take dmg from the heat stacks)
answered by ^
you can run a tank with vanguard and can keep a lot of the heat damage to blue armor damage
i would still rather run healer then tank up there though, single healer makes is basically free
why 91% ?
you dont need 100% to cap, most of the negative status effects range from 91-97% to become immune to it
96% is the treshold for all
I see, so it's primarily to prevent the status effect animations locking you out of interactions
96% is the treshold for all
@celest nebula that's incorrect
Shock only needs like 84% at best
i know someone's got the list
What needs 97%? I remember poison and disrupt needs 96% at least for immunity
i think one is 96.4%
whats recommended build for foundry room tank, for Fieser?
dont "really" need a true tank build for it, decoy will get the attention to get to the water
That's the "list":
Poison - 96%
Ensnare - 93%
Bleed - 93%
Blind/Deaf - 91%
Burn - 91%
Disorient - 93%
Disrupt - 96%
Shock - 84%
This was tested by one of the community members (i forgot his name) who posted it on reddit
hi there i havent done any of the raids yet and planning on doing this on my next day off from work so my questions are if i was to ask ppl on here if they like to join me do i need to be in there clan or is there away just to play? also what kind of builds would ppl recommend for a person who has never done this. thank you for your time.
@vagrant wing interesting numbers, thanks
on the Hzd res numbers FYI its here https://www.reddit.com/r/thedivision/comments/fkzvlz/tu8_changes_to_hazard_protection_and_status/
Thanks @icy hull that's what i was looking for
@tender hollow You don't need to be in a clan to raid, you can join any group of random people. Use #lfg-raid-pc and jump in on a LFG for Dark Hours, and be honest that you are new and ask if thats okay (it almost always is for every group). Run a DPS build, typical build is high crit over 50% CHC and over 150% CHD -- run Rifle or AR, whichever you prefer and an LMG for sustained damage on things like boss phase -- Bullet King is excellent, but any proper LMG will do.
You can do healer/tank for the specific roles that require it, but not every encounter requires it and generally the person doing so must know the mechanics well. So it's recommended you just have a nice dps build
@azure fossil thank you i do have a good few dps builds so i am ok with that and i will check out the LFG-raid section tomorrow then on my day off and see what happens
I'd recommend Dark Hours first, mechanically it is easier to understand. Iron Horse can be a bit overwhelming for new players. With Dark Hours you need to be comfortable dealing with juiced up adds (they are like beefy heroic mobs) for most encounters, so play conservatively, stay alive and kill adds -- thats your main role in Dark Hours.
Iron Horse is more mechanics than adds, with everyone having specific roles to follow.
ok yeah i did wanna do the dark hours first tbh it was out first i just never had anyone to play it with really. all the ppl who got the game with me just don't play it no more so i came across this discord and just wanted to see what ppl was like.
i need help with dark hour raids
@tender hollow when i began raids... I stuck w DPS for both raids... I would suggest unbreakable for the chest talent so you dont have to be picked up all the time. DH requires all dps for the most part... IH u can still get by. I recommend watching youtube videos so when the leader is giving out roles or commands, you have a good idea of what is being discussed. DH is a lot more n00b friendly imo
ok i was thinking about watching a video on it when i get home tonight so i wont be running around like a headless chicken lol
Is Dilema still glitching the raid?
Used it yesterday.
Third boss had 5 problems to solve before the second phase.
The last boss was not spawning enemies properly and was taking too long for rocket woman to appear
far as i know, ND has been fixed for IH
the enemy spawn issue on boss4 wasn't related to ND, it just happened randomly
hmmm ok, thanks for the info!
got a question, if i only got 4 keys from IH raid, can i go back the same week for another run to get the 5th?
Yeah. Keys reset every Teusday so until then you can go back and pick up the keys you missed
Is Dilema still glitching the raid?
Used it yesterday.Third boss had 5 problems to solve before the second phase.
The last boss was not spawning enemies properly and was taking too long for rocket woman to appear
@ionic egret Dunno about the last boss of IH and DH, but I've used it at least once since maintenance this week on all other bosses of IH and boss 1 of DH. All other bosses a vanilla DPS is better.
@tender hollow depends... I used it because on the third boss, there are multiple enemies everywhere, specially at the last phase, so I was killing them while the team focused on the boss
^ I agree its awesome for some of the bosses, just as long as your CHD isn't low like 100
Anyonme wantr tro run with me through Dark Horse? Alsop need help completing the DLC
I am new to PC and M/K.....I would really like to get my character built up
Use the raid lfg channels below please @tribal jackal
sorry Bend
Thought with people asking about builds to bring to raid/what to expect in normal dark hours/iron horse, I'd post a quick sum of what usually is acceptable as composition per boss each raid - note this does not take into account speed runs and cheesing strats - it's the basis on what to bring for an average pug/clan raid progression:
Dark Hours
Boomer/1st boss = 7 red weapon DPS, and either 1 healer (FI suggested for extra boost to dps) or 1 tank rolling vanguard chest/bonus armor to group
Weasel/2nd boss = 5 red weapon DPS (1-2 being sniper/riflemen for sniper add control), 1-2 skill hybrid dps (assault turret/drone/decoy/eclipse foam) for add control, and either 1 tank (rolling vanguard) or 1 healer (again FI preference)
Buddy+Lucy/3rd boss = 7 red weapon DPS, 1 healer if doing fire line strat, otherwise use all red dps for 3/5 split
Razorback/4th boss = 7 red weapon DPS, 1 hardwire or skill build with jammer pulse (drone clear)
Iron Horse
Grey/1st boss = 7 DPS (can be mix of hybrid drone/turret or just red weapon DPS), 1 healer (FI preference)
Fieser/2nd boss = 1 Healer (fixer drone and resto hive) in control room, 1 hazard protection build tank with vanguard rolling on raid, 6 DPS (can be mixed hybrid drone/turret or red weapon DPS)
Williams/3rd boss = 1 healer (FI preference), 1 cc w/ riot foam and/or decoy OR 1 hazard protection build (can be a tank, heal or dps) and 6 DPS (hybrid drone/turret or red weapon dps)
Morozova/4th boss = 1 healer, 1-2 tanks w/ bulwark shields (1 of the two either has sticky explosive, merciless/ravenous for morozova stagger on mechanic) 6-7 dps (can be weapon dps or hybrid drone/turret - note that you can technically stun lock morozova with one of these dpsers using similar as above tank note, but be careful not to push her over armor limits per phase
Hope this helps some of the newer players/groups that are running.
Good summary
@fathom crypt you should consider Dark Hours first, tbh
is it that hard?
its the first raid, mechanically it is simpler
Someone told me Shock Traps are broken against Boomer and Buddy/Lucy
Broken as in?
Someone told me Shock Traps are broken against Boomer and Buddy/Lucy
@tribal jackal
Was, they patched it. Doesn't work anymore
Lemme rectify my statement.
Doesn't work as effective as it once was before.
It still works (for B&L at least) before you guys make any statements please test it
Yeah but they only get shocked for a sec or so?
4-6
Doesn't change the fact that it still works. You can say that's not practical for most groups - and i agree. But saying that it's not working at all - is inaccurate at best and deceiving at worst
are ironworks material shared on account ?
@flint iris used to literally make it so there were 0 mechanics needed for those two encounters
I just wondering, if you put the outcast plague debuff on a raid boss like for example boomer will he take damage or not?
in Iron Horse 4th boss in the middle when all line up behind shields... why are we always hit with mortars? what do we need to do or not to do to stop this?
I have heard it all from stack up in the back, or don't touch the grass in the back, or do not enter it to early. what is the trigger .. and how not to trigger them mortars?
Can't avoid it, they just keep firing as they would if you were still outside.
What helps is to place decoys, turrets and such outside before you enter the tunnel.
The airstrike will destroy those, but the mortar targeting has a lil delay and will still target those spots instead in many cases.
It’s just RNG in my experience. Mortar also hit the sandbag area, and staying on the grass doesn’t always get mortared
like the “world tier normal” thingy, just different perception I guess
I have heard it all from stack up in the back, or don't touch the grass in the back, or do not enter it to early. what is the trigger .. and how not to trigger them mortars?
@lyric dagger I dunno for sure. But people say, 1st time you go in you wont get mortared, but after that no one should cross the yellow line until Morozova starts running to the shed/you start seeing the impending yellow mortal symbols on the ground. Also people say that you should not go all the way to the back of the tunnel as this will trigger a mortar in the tunnel as well.
The mortars hitting the under of the tunnel afaik the mortars target the closest person or people who stand still for longest
does anyone know where people look for raid groups on consoles (PS4)?
regulus isnt time gated , just read till end
first you have to do a fresh raid run and has to be key run to get the ironworks material , then u make another character and do the raid again since after first run u will have between 31-37 material and need more , from these 2 runs ask ur friend to share any fi or fb gear they dont want so you can donate it, you only need 2 sets so it will be easy to get , then u buy fi and fb from cassie and base and deconstruct for crafting material , then wait for next day for reset and do the raid another time on same character you completed both donation quest on
if you do it right , you can get the pistol in 24 hours or less just have to be efficient with it
also i did that and will get the pistol next reset
anyone have tips on how to disable boomers healing module?
shoot his chest when its green
Shoot it when it becomes yellow cause you can stop it from getting up
Anyone wanna help me finish dark hours raid? I’m on Razorback
@tender hollow usually assign 2-3 guys that will rotate threat through the turrets and chest on boomer - they kite for each other into 45 and 41 - shooting the chest gives threat to you so be ready to kite if you do this job -
specifically what kind of minimum build do you need to solo control room @ Fieser?
~97% burn resistance, 4pc FI, everything else in repair skills?
Burn res just makes it so that you’re not on first for as long when at 100 stacks
Our team did it without any
which is just the fire status effect, preventing you from interacting with anything -- not taking extra damage?
so you can just ride out the fire status effect for as long as it takes at 100 stacks?
You should be able to
alright, only concern with that is rockets
appreciate the help, not to keep hammering on with questions but I guess people are using a cheat sheet to quickly do wifi codes, does anyone have a link for that?
@azure fossil and anyone else that wants: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/707383749070946304/752222375482884228/1234.png
first letter per error code pertains to what u read to that link
the very first letter read from within the foundry
I was wondering how tf people were getting by with just saying "F", "P", etc
when the person goes in- after the : read the first letter.. and it relates to what screen is on that cheat sheet link
if it's numbers, do "pound" or "numbers" and control room reads screen 6 picture
appreciated, ty
specifically what kind of minimum build do you need to solo control room @ Fieser?
@azure fossil you can do it without burn resistance. most people do it using their normal FI healer build, which has less skill haste than a non-FI build.
question about pinning morozova to the trailer for ih, how do you do it?
@toxic orchid use the explosive/emp sticky when she's kneeling down (after she exit the shack). Then either stand in front of her with your shield or rotate behind her. The EMP timing is crucial here
will you need to stagger the boss during it or does it lock her out
You still need to stagger her in the right time
so you have the shield to block her from moving and you still need to swap to rav or sticky to stagger?
Pretty much, yeah
It's not so much about the shield as the timing. If you miss the timing - shield or not - she will move
thanks, ill try it at some point; was just curious
If you have already completed IH on a character for the week (i.e. that character has already opened all chests), does that character get Ironworks Base Materials for crafting, if it opens the final chest again?
Pretty sure you only get those once a week (you can get them from discovery (if you open the keys chests) tho if you havn't did that this week)
Wow Thanks @vagrant wing .
if you compleet the ih raid for this week and i do it agian can i still get a foundry pl8 drop? or is that just once week change?
Technically you can get more foundry and future peices, just gotta ask your friends.
Looking for a good raid build for Iron Horse or Dark Hours
for DH, a bog standard high end DPS build will mostly do, prep a high skill damage jammer build and a high end tank just in case
What build do you wanna run, any specific weapons you want to use in the raid? I can give you a generic build for DPS but thats boring overall.
for IH, you need hazprot tank, DPS, FI healer, and tank with explosion skill of some sort at best
Do you have an Operation Dark Hours party?
@celest nebula for the FI healer, 4 piece minimum? have 3 now, still need Kneepads to get 4pc, then do raids for chestpiece and backpack
4 piece or bust lol
been told that if you are soloing control room get the backpack
^
You can do control room without FI tbh, I've done it a few times. Obviously you can because you need to clear the raid in order to complete FI
but ofc it is better if you have FI for the team dmg buff alone
just alternate between your hive and chems, make sure you have enough hive charges for when you need to hold doors open
You could also use drone or ball instead of chems
its more about timing the heals than anything else in my experience
I agree
Hazard on control room build .
Personally I recommend . And incoming healing , or repair skills .
I will say something happened recently . The ads in ih got tougher to us . Seems different . Now even though your armor maintains its hitting your health hard . Maybe their is finally a need for health ?
incoming healing doesn't affect your own healing on yourself, afaik
it affects healing received from others
Umm 🤔 you sure about that ?
So if I have incoming healing mod it doesn’t up my heal from my own heal hive ?
It’s any healing from skills
someone was very adamant about it on my previous raid, we could both be wrong -- haven't tested it extensively. Generally I would find Repair Skills to be better
Incoming repairs increases the repair on armour from any healing skill
IH drops any exotic?
My healer build I use repair skills . If I’m for myself only I max out incoming repairs
Ih has chance to drop ravenous at chest and small tiny chance on bosses
10% & ~1% respectively
And if you complete project you can also craft the regulas
is there a general trick to keeping or stealing/peeling Boomer's agro?
likewise for Dizzy, Ricochet, Weasel -- or any staggering mechanic
Boomers threat is based on who kills the chest for healing... sometimes turret gunner will also take threat after breaking bp but chest break is a sure thing
Dizzy Richo and weasel are threat modifier based ... based on dmg done + out of cover + if shield used (added threat multiplier... amd if you have threat you can stand near them and have them spam melee stun ability so their timing on nade launch and sticky nade weasel is off
Thanks a lot, I kind of figured Boomer's main threat was chest -- things get kinda messy when everyone's gunning for the chest
Yea - have lead assign 2 ppl to do chest/turret and kite boss - whoever doesn’t have threat goes to turret while other makes sure chest stays off while kiting
Other 6 clear adds
Regulus is ridiculous with the project. Especially when your trying to find ppl to raid with
I wish they would put the chest piece and backpacks from the raid into the open world....
They’d do that when eagle bearer starts dropping in the open world
Just reminded me i need to get the foundry bulwark chest for the project, then finish that part to get regulus on tuesday... Ill do it later
@potent tartan they need incentives to have ppl run the raids - if EB regulus and rav dropped in open world no one would be running raids, and if big horn dropped in lower difficulty ppl wouldn’t run legendaries... You’re lucky this discord exists to instantly find raid groups just by joining a voice channel when it starts up
@muted horizon while this is very true. I was lucky to run it with a great group once. I’ve been posting and looking for about 3 weeks and lfg is hard for people because some clans don’t have the people or will to raid. And it sucks. I loved the raid I thought it was fun. I am not lucky I’ve posted I. This group several times and have not gotten a response actually several servers.
I was talking about gear not exotics. They did put the chest and backpack from DH in the open world so, eventually, I’m assuming the same for IH.
@warm wren I feel it. Me too. And the backpack lol
Yea, im running IH rn for a chance for the chest, lol
I just need future initiative chest and I actually gave that away to someone in my last run a few hours ago because I thought it was the bulwark chest I needed and not the FI one smh
People who farmed last boss for either exotic don’t deserve the weapon and i have no respect for them
IH time it takes to run 5 last bosses you can obtain all 5 keys
2nd boss can be done in 6 mins no speed running and 3rd boss 1 min ish saved skipping fire phase and 2 mins releasing lava same time
what do we need for IH ?
I have enough base materials for future initiative but the project won’t finish. Idk why.
You have to donate them
@tender hollow alot people finish the entire raid once per week, like me alot people farm the final boss after bec we want additional chances for the chest. you cant farm the other bosses for keys. plus regulus u need to run the entire raid atleast twice to get it.
any raid with lvl 30
People who get hissy over last boss farm are pathetic. As avenger said if you already done the raid and collected keys for the weekly what else is there to do? You HAVE to farm last boss for keys. You cannot get anymore on the same tune until next week.
I dont do last boss farm personally cos I find it boring but I understand if people wanna farm it for exotic. More power to them.
Just irritating when you're looking for people and they say they have X amount of clears and they're experienced, but have no idea how to do any of the other 3 bosses.
That's another big problem. You can have a guy who done it 3-4 times but every time on different role and know the raid better than a guy who done it 20 times as DPS only who doesn't know anything else
If they took away the getting a clear from camping boss 4, then i got no problem.
Can someone give me a short summary of builds to make for IH?
@round cloak @main flower He can LFG for what he wants, but general advice is just to do a normal raid -- jump in on a group thats filling up, just be honest that you are new and 99 times out of 100 the group is more than fine with that.
Discovery is very weird. The mobs are very easy and its missing mechanics which makes zero sense
@crisp merlin 2 dps builds if your new, 1 undreakable and 1 pgc or focus for boss 1. A healer consisting of 4pc FI when you get the pieces(come from the raid). 1 tank build and 1 tank/hzd build.
All fairly easy stuff to get besides the healer build since you have to do the raid to get them
Hey what are the minimum stats for DH?
An average dps build is fine for DH, just be comfortable clearing adds. 50% CHC / ~150% CHD is fine for red crit builds. Someone will always have Coyote's Mask in a raid. Don't bother with something like Glass Cannon, use an Unbreakble chest to cover your mistakes
1 Tank with Perfect Vanguard is nice to have to cover people's butts with 1mil bonus armor, someone with a Tardigrade is nice too. A healer isn't always necessary but its nice if you have plenty of dps, a healer with BTSU, healing hive & jammer pulse is pretty nice at Boss 4
Hey what are the minimum stats for DH?
@median raptor There's is non. Generally speaking if you can do heroic content by yourself as a DPS you're good
EDIT: technically you need to be GS 485 and above
Okay
Well luckily I can
I run a solo legendary built around the chameleon
I just though I might have to switch ars, which fucks my build up
So I thought I might have to create a new build
Thought*
On both raids you'd tendto engage at mid range so do adjustments if you need to
Adler is right though, there is no minimum requirement. To be honest, the raids are much easier than they were before because post-WoNY players are extremely powerful now. So even an "average dps" is leagues above a "good dps" pre-WoNY
even really min-maxed builds prior to this were struggling at times
most important thing is "know what to do"
^ basically, a low stat build can even clear just fine if you kwtd.

@azure fossil what what what? where's my ones shot nemi build? my bleed build? my AR spotter build? my seeker build? I'm sorry i have to disagree on that one. Agents PRE-WoNY where much much more powerful
Yeah I’d disagree too. Explosive damage as a stat was insane
If you say so, there were some broken builds but adds were harder to deal with pre-wony from my experience
Put a berserk clutch build against anybuild we got now, clutch for the win
What I mean is the average player is extremely powerful relative to the average player pre-wony, barring busted meta builds that they've since fixed or nerfed
It was for the meme @azure fossil no harm intended. But yeah PRE - WoNY you felt way more powerful imo
Nah you're good lol, its just a difference of perspective. I think since WoNY more people have done the raids too
Pre wony was amazing
Nah you're good lol, its just a difference of perspective. I think since WoNY more people have done the raids too
i'd argue on that too due to the shrinking size of the community. But hey i don't like to complain 😆
well it is what it is, pop is still pretty healthy all considered
the only games that usually "grow" are free to play or freemium games like Warframe or ESO
GeNsHiN iMpAcT
Ask “does team kwtd?”
If they ignore it or ask what does kwtd means they’ll be in raid for long time
Oh boy, I'm going to get called a casual again. What does kwtd stand for?
Know what to do
@late scarab bloody casual
anyone for the first raid?
Use the lfg channels for raid lfgs please. This is for raid discussions
tbh if you rage and leave a raid channel going to another channel right after is just gonna bring their group down
tbh some groups wont ever complete the raid! If people are prepared just a short amount of player will leave a raid
Is there any news of dark hours being shelved?
no, why?
Someone was discussing that in another server. Just wanted to check
They have the wrong info I guess
why would DH be shelved?
They are probably confusing Division 2 with Destiny 2, which is another shooter that is shelving their earlier raids in a couple weeks
lol destiny is boring now they are just remaking old content and gear all the time
Do you know if there are people who completed Iron Horse in Hardcore? Also, is there a commendation for it, like there is for the Dark Hours?
there isn't hence why nobody has bothered
so, is there still DH raids here?
IH Raid is so easy you can do them 6 man. If you fail 8 man, your group sucks so bad, maybe even you.
😂 350 lvl 30 dh clears , 46 ih clears . It’s so funny when people post things like this .
But then have no clue on what to do. How hard is it to watch a 20 min YT guide to completing IH
I remember being in a sherpa run where the carry wouldnt listen on 2nd or 4th boss
2nd boss he didnt bother using a sweet dreams instead using raw dps to kill purple and went down even though control room wasnt on fire
4th boss he used to ignore ads, using the pestilence on morzova causing her to go immune and wiping us
Magnet, you always use unique terminology... What's a "carry" in a Division 2 raid? I thought a carry was the ranged DPS on a DOTA/LOL team.
Anyone having problems on boss 3 with valves being bugged and unable to be shot?
Carry is when someone is just there to make up numbers, does not contribute damage, does not know any or little mechanics, does not listen when told to go from blue to red build.
Carry is generally a waste of space and is a time waster
New guys ok, but don't comin in new if you cannot ATLEAST contribute damage wise.
Ty
A carry is just a sherpa that doesnt do their job
Carry is generally a waste of space and is a time waster
@unique shoal then why run a raid with them?
Carry is when someone is just there to make up numbers, does not contribute damage, does not know any or little mechanics, does not listen when told to go from blue to red build.
i'm pretty fking sure when i'm carrying i'm like the only one doing any kind of mechanic while guys getting carried are perma-afk behind cover just killing ads
@alpine sequoia I dont wanna run with them, but I guess what? There are dishonest people in the world. When I ask for exp they come in pretending they are exp. When I ask for dps they come in rainbow shit. When I wanna kick I will get called toxic. These days I dont care anymore, I will kick these people anyway. But the guy asked what a carry is, I obliged with a definition.
Well I get that, I've been in groups where someone says dps and it's just random rainbow gear, so I understand that part
@twin ember difference between carry and carrying. Carry label is applied to the people i described. Carrying is when you do the carry of said players
As far as mechanics go tbh I dont even know the full mechanics myself I just run a full red and I know specific sections on iron horse that i know what to do on
Like B entrance in the crucible etc
@alpine sequoia thats fine if you have done like 15 or less full clears but if you have done 100+ clears only doing one thing, I feel that's kinda bad. I get sometimes not wanting to do a certain role becuase u wanna try a new dps build etc. But true exp is knowing all roles.
Oh nah it's been literally 10 or so clears but my deal is I understand gear checks because running with dishonest people can get kind of annoying, but then theres really elitist people that try to kick me for having the sacrifice on when I go down maybe once the whole raid to getting foamed in the furnace while everyone else shit talking is constantly downed, it comes off as pretentious when I'm obviously doing better and they just assume its a casual
I dont mind people running sacrifice as long like you maybe only go down once or twice. Also if you don't complain that heals dont work on you then run whatever you want. I run sacrifice on boss 1, but don't on any other boss cos I dont think its worth it. But as I said people should do what works for them as long as they contribute meaningfully.
I feel like as long as someone can solo a chungus then the dps is fine it's when they struggle with normal ads I understand you wouldnt want them in the run if you want to get it done in a reasonable time
I've run a sacrifice on boss 3 on 6 man raid iron horse so its not like you can't use that talent.
Yeah I know I use it all the time, it's only annoying when some 100+ shd player tells you you cant run because of that one talent
