So late last night a buddy and I went into the first Dark Zone, we were entirely underwhelmed by the extreme lack of killable things in there. We spent probably a couple hours running around in there and only barely found 1 player which died to NPC's so we couldn't even kill him :\ also the NPC amount seemed minimal, in the D1 DZ it seemed like you couldn't even exit a checkpoint without instantly having to fight your way through a mob of NPCs...
ANYWAYS, it was very nice for the 'FIRST' DZ, but my question is... will this progressively change and get harder in the higher DZs?

"Masks" are a vanity item that was popular in Division 1 as they showed you as being more or less "good" or a completionist. They are in Divison 2, But from what I have heard (Without trying to spoil it for myself) they are difficult to get and something you have to work towards, (if you want to spoil yourself there are videos out on how to get them)
But at the same time, they cover your entire face.. So where is the fun in that 😛

ok found out a trick to get the hunters you miss....if for some reason you die, and your group gets the hunters and you respawned by accident and are on your way back and miss the masks and the area is no longer spawnable, there is a trick. if you join anothers game who hasnt fought those hunters you missed you can still get the masks AS LONG AS you dont respawn in the fight back at a saferoom/control point near the fight, you can still get the masks

The secret vendor is in the Thieves den in the dark zone, do rouge actions until you get the Thieves Den Triangulation to 100%, it will show up in your map, when you go in you will get your rouge status removed and can access the vendor BUT you need to give him 30 morphine which idk how to get

One of the masks must drop near the Washington Monument, but as I said, the hunters spawn and disappear quickly, and even if you manage to kill one of them, they do not drop mask (we only managed to kill one)

When you head to judiciary square between 7th st nw, D ST NW and E ST NW, close to the save house there are trucks shining lights down a hallway with lights
According to the cypher it seems you have to break the glass of all lights
I managed to shoot out the lights after i destroyed all glass around the light
However i couldnt destroy all lights in time it seems
Hitting them with the 50 cal instantly destroyed the light but hitting em with a normal sniper didnt do anything
I didnt have enough ammo for each light (total 6)

Do the hunters scale to the ammount of people in the lobby? I've taken down all 12 solo easy as can be, but with two people they were all of a sudden pretty much death itself!

@rose lantern you need to open more caches and get the 3 components before you can craft it. Look up the chatterbox. There is a few guides on YouTube for getting keys/SMG parts.

Well, I took down the 11th and 12th yesterday when I was gear score 300 ish, still gear score 300 but the person I helped was level 25 right, so clearly they scaled right

Yeah, I'm thinking they scale the more players. I watched several videos of people soloing them and me and a friend killed 2 and one of them we fought for 2.5 hours. The other we had 4 and we got lucky we set him on fire.

@ripe loom dude I'm not exaggerating about the 2.5 hours. I checked the time before we started and that dude rolled around and kept healing over and over. When we finally killed him it was because an npc set him on fire.
Our 2nd hunter we got lucky there were gas cans near by.
Pro tip for the one that is activated by the 2 phones... age him and get him outside.

I can imagine, I myself decided to kill the Ghoul masked one as soon as I got to 30, took a bit. The rest was easy because of the gear score, cause the hunters level is in tier 5 I believe. Even in the first game they were melty, never really had an issues with them. I think a normal hyena can be deadlier!
I killed most of mine with the Multi Grenade Launcher and took two using an AR

Yeah the Goul mask guy that was the 2.5 hours one. The red hand mask guy was a pain but less tanky. He hit harder though.

@solemn rapids if you have a friend who hasn't reached World teir 1. Let them host and do their main missions/strongholds with them. You can get the spec points again.

You've gotta do some strongholds to advance to wt1 & so on
so if you haven't done those you're still on level 28, which is I think the max non-wt level

World tiers can be seen before entering a new district, if it says the enemies in the zone is level 31 it's world tier one. There also gonna be roman numerals above their head instead of a number level, indicating your current world tier!

You now only get one Key per Hunter.
Killed a Crimson 6 different times in different lobbies, never dropped a key. Go to Hunters I haven't killed and get a key each time guaranteed.

If you did the 4-hunter combo, only the last one drops a key. You can only get a maximum of 8 keys.

No, there's a bug where sometimes even if you pick up the mask, you don't actually 'have' it. I killed 7 hunters with my bud, and I only have 6 masks (as one didn't drop). @woeful mirage

what I think is that ivory keys are tied to ciphertext and you get it after killing respective hunter(s)

Also, you can only summon them once. If you've killed all the hunters at encounter (3 encounters have multiple hunters), you can't resummon them. Which is weird, as i've killed all except 1 hunter, but only have 6 out of the 8 keys 😐

if you die trying to kill them, they usually stay in place. But if they despawn you can re-summon them
But if you've killed all hunters in the encounter you can't re-summon them anymore
