so this is kind of div 2 related. 2 days ago i played the game fine. I logged out of the game, i changed something random in game, dont remember what. Then went and downloaded obs studio and SLOBS. Now when i try to load the game i get like 10 fps. cant get more. When i played previously (1440) i got around 60 fps
other games work fine. WTF is going on? lol cant figure this out

I do appreciate that you're trying to help, but, as a game designer and developer I know that the format of the user settings file changing is the reason why my settings were reset, and that it's why pretty much everyone I know who plays also had to change their settings again.

I also understand that the game has a few kinks it's still working out and new patches come, fixing and creating bugs. In my case something just failed to change correctly. The reinstall should, in theory, fix it. But the validation should have as well. A version validation failure resulting in EAC booting someone is not the same as EAC booting someone for a program being hooked into the active memory of the program.

@viral needle People have mixed results with dx11/dx12. It's SUPPOSED to work better/more efficiently but for some people thats not the case. Best bet is to try both and see which one works best for your build.

@stone furnace yes it often displays the wrong specs. For example, try to change a mod on the turret, if you highlight a new mod, it will display the numbers as if you would have both the equipped AND the new mod in the same slot.

Only after you accept it will give you the right lower numbers of the new mod only

@viral needle The main evolution in DX12 is the decreased overhead in datatransfer between cpu/gpu/bus. It allows the continuously growing data streams(4k etc) to run more efficiently. Apart for surface scattering, some water reflection and lighting effects it's not gonna be a big visual difference on it self but it allows games to become more and more beautiful and still get acceptable framerates. If you have a good mid-range pc (decent cpu/gpu/ram/ssd, no cheap bottlenecks basically) it actually runs this game better than dx11. The numbers you are quoting are actually quite good for 1440p. Ppl often underestimate the extra processing power needed for 1440 let alone 4k. It's not just a few more pixels eh 😉 it grows exponentially.

@restive ledge kFleet gave me the advice to shut donw all active "overlays" like discord and the ubiplay overlay too. That works for me with DX11. No more chrashes now. Thanks to @lofty heart again. With DX12 i have short mouse ore loading freezes ingame regularly, the game stucks for a second, aiming is not possible than. also very annoying...

gotta love having your cover negated by the fact it doesnt allow 3/4 of your aimed shots to hit on an already bugged tier 4 control point. even with mates, all well around 450+, cant complete it. whats the point having them when you cant even shoot long enough to even dent enemy armour before being instant wiped by a turret that doesnt appear, rc cars that make the sound but have no physical hit box and named bosses that take more damage than blacktusk named heavy bosses. its great fun...... never had a whole squad alt f4 when we realised theres no point.

yeah some weird scaling stuff going on, yesterday I started mission with some unknown party member who crashed halfway. Another friend(about same GS, same WT) joins me but the difficulty goes way up. Then I die, respawn and suddenly all enemies are like super easy glasscanons... go figure

The one correlation I can find, is that it often crashes on starting a mission/activity/engagement, right as you walk in the building/zone/whatever

what i meant is that apparently exception handling is not implemented well or they would have at least pinpointed the general conditions of these crashes. But yeah I don't think any programmer on earth likes error handling and debugging and therefor it's always the weakest link in any software... not blaming anyone...

because someone else claimed they had the same problem, was able to spawn the spectre in randos instance, and it worked, you may need to ask someone to allow them to spawn it for you, or you spawn it in their instance

Alright, need help. 1080ti, updated recent drivers and all. I played 720p(generally am trying to run 1440p windowed fullscreen) windowed mode for a solid hour with no crash but as soon as I go fullscreen its a random crash at random intervals. Have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, rollback on drivers, dx12 off etc. Anyone know any fixes? No error or crash reports pop up during this either.

@glossy merlin Assuming you've visited it once and got the cutscene, it's meant to stay grey -- if you listen to the dialogue they say it's got too bad and they're moving out. (Fast travel to it was broken for a while, but I think that's been fixed.)

i7-4790 4GHZ GTX1080TI, i couldnt get this game to run smoothly if my life depended on it. Already put physics on GPU, turned everything down, still stutters, i think its the physics, when i bump into someone it stutters, when i zoom it stutters, its awful

Seems to not have anything to do with graphics settings, I dunno though. I put it on low and it still happened, but maybe less? I have a pretty high spec machine. Ryzen 5 2600 4GHz, GTX 1060 6GB, 16GB DDR4. Game runs at 5760x1080 just fine. The problem even happens at 1920x1080 on a single monitor. I am tweaking my video settings some more to see if it will make a difference.

I'm getting microstutter after the update. I had it before at the release but capping FPS to 60 fixed both microstutter and audio cut-off glitch. BUT after the update, i'm getting both issues with 60cap FPS (i7600k, 16gb, GTX 1080, SSD)

Drivers may resolve the issue but if it doesnt try downgrading drivers before making any hardware changes

Might also be an issue with your CPU so try updating those drivers too

have you tried turning off reduced latency and dx11 with disabling full screen optimization and changing DPI settings in the 3 .exe's in the full installation folder

in 3d settings, go to powermanagement and choose performance over quality. It can give you a massive performance boost on lower end cards (dont know what you have).

Titan is a brand of card & possibly chipset (can't remember if the latter got a name change in the end), the Ti at the end of most cards means Titanium not Titan for some reason its become a common misconception

when ever a new game drops, I always run DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) first -- wipes all traces of the old video card driver out, before installing a fresh and clean latest version. Never hurts to start fresh every now and then

I played with my friends yesterday, but later last night I couldn't matchmake at all and today I can't join my friends. Every time I try to connect to someone the loading screen sits at %10 forever and then I get kicked with a "DELTA-04" error. Can anyone help me with this?

also every time you crash or alt-f4 the game, you have to go in graph settings and change something and apply changes so that it gets rewritten or it will start in windowed mode forever, regardless the settings and give all kinds of weird problems...

Hi guys, I'm experiencing the 'crafting bench bug' where I am unable to upgrade the bench from gear score 200 even though I'm in world tier 5 and I've completed all necessary content.

I've seen some suggestions about joining other players' sessions but to no avail, does anyone have a fix? I've heard this is quite a common bug...

Very irritating as I can't craft any gear including exotics at my gear level!

@tiny lily if you've tried joining other players and it didn't work, there's no other workaround that I'm aware of. But they are working on a fix for this that should be deployed on Patch 2.1 scheduled to release next week according to the forum post

@buoyant whale may be on his end if you only have one person that sounds mangled...and that really depends on his setup. Could be the distance he is from the server, using too high of bandwidth on his mic, using an XLR mic that's not properly setup...lots of things.

Hello guys. I found a Gear Score 450 Merciless and then added the Merciless Ruthless Upgrade to it and it became Gear Score 475 with the Merciless Talents but Ruthless skin & nametag. I am currently trying to upgrade the Gear Score of my new Ruthless to 500. I have all of the crafting materials and credits, I have the Ruthless in my inventory, and it says nothing is missing but it does not give me the option to craft and it says All Conditions Have Not Been Met. ya, a lot of people seem to be having issues with stuff not updating that should be... such as CP's not leveling up and animations taking place but actions not being completed. It seems like stuff is getting sent to the server and then getting queue'd in long lines or lost completely.. I have seen CP's level up hours after the activities were completed.

i'm not sure if something as simple as dropping a rope is done server-side but a lot of actions/activities seem to be taking forever to complete correctly.

EA games run on the Frostbite engine, while Division games run on Snowdrop. They are vastly different from the first line of code to the last, both in the way they render things and the purpose for which they are built.

For example, Division seems to handle third person better than current EA games, but Frostbite handles resolution scaling past 2K way better than Snowdrop

#

Performance on one game is in no way comparable to others, and graphics are not even that important depending on how the rest of the game is handled -- a bad world asset streaming or larger rendering scale can bring a rig to their knees

I’m also just kind of confused with the hunters in general. I’m pretty sure the ghost and spectre are spawned by interacting with the console. But the second time I did there was a red circle and it spawned a hunter who didn’t drop a mask, but dropped a key instead. I never saw a hunter hiding on the rooftops around the monument either.

you have to shoot the windows in order bottom to top, all the ones at the bottom that can be seen, and the ones at the top, missing the blank ones, and it shoudl spawn

Hello guys,
I am experiencing a problem with fast forward freezing i call it. The game freezes for like a 1-3 seconds and right after that catches up on what it missed for that amount of time.
It quite randomly (running in the city, group play, solo play, DZ, i mean everywhere) - It is not a always thing, but most of the time from time to time it happens.
It happens while I have either speakers or headphones but while headphones are on, it is also followed by a buzzing sound of freezing (you sure know the sound, like very aggressive zzzzzzzz).
A4tech keyboard and SoundBlaster Mouse M04.

Anyone experiencing aswell and might be able to give me a hint? I tinkered all around this but still got no idea what might be causing it.

Runnin on
custom medium/high,
ASUS GTX 1070,
viper DD4 16gb ram,
i5 6600k 3,5ghz.
ASUS Z170PROGAMING
Smooth 60fps aside this. got Vsync and FPS limit off.

@cursive harbor it's a bug that happens on revives and respawns sometimes. Some people can fix it by rolling away or taking cover, but others need to restart/logout to fix it.

@solemn cargo pls perform ALL the following steps and let us know how it went:

let geforce experience download latest nvidia driver, choose advanced install and check 'clean install'
Reboot and reinstall directX and c++, you'll find them in c:/.../ubisoft/games/division2/tools, reboot
Go to geforce experience and let it optimize division2
run the division, make sure to set it at 1920x1080, DX12 disabled, vsync disabled, framelimit ENABLED set at 60fp, APPLY.
Play, if it's still not right, run the benchmark in settings menu and pm me result.

apparently when first installing the game, these redistributables sometimes throw an error an d get cancelled but you don't see it as they're bing installed as a package and games says install complete lol 😉

@solemn cargo this is an unofficial troubleshooting channel, that was a user trying to help you, also you shouldn't uninstall DX, you can try reinstalling it or disabling DX12 in-game, which will make you use DX11 which is generally better for pascal gpus. Any overlays you should disabled as the EAC system does not really like them.

@solemn cargo you are totally right. ppl can see way more than only 60 fps. but it is totally personal preferance in what and how you prefer to play games. usually it makes not much sense to push a system to its limits and play at more than 60fps when your system cant handle it anyways only coz you prefer it this way. and then crying around your system cant handle a "new" still not yet "optimized in performance" game is just dumb :3 no offense

@midnight night ppl can see differences up to 300fps depending on use and training. i for myself can see differences up to around 200 fps. FPS progames usually play at 200+ fps and cant even hit stuff anymore below it^^ im usually playing at 144 fps and wouldnt really want to go back below it. but also here personal pref

First of all i just ask you to cap at 60fps just for troubleshooting determination purposes...I have 120hz monitor and yes for future reference, there IS a noticable difference. In fact in the old CRT days, anything below 85hz was like a stroboscope to me and gave me heavy migraines, so you're defenitely barking up the wrong tree here... Secondly many ppl, with EXACTLY the same problems you're experiencing, have personnaly thanked me for solving it by following these steps TO THE LETTER and are now enjoying their game. And finally even if this solution doesn't help you (even tho i'm pretty sure you didn't even bother trying), you should realize that I am at least trying to HELP you? So don't bother sending me your benchresults and best of luck to you. PS you have the best nickame ever, it suits you wonderfully 😉 tada

ok my issue is the game runs perfectly fine on my 4k 60hz monitor but when i try to game at 1440p 144hz the game is very choppy and ends up crashing every time, is there an issue with over 60 hz in this game or what?

played 20 hrs with no real issues, then the patch made the game stutter like crazy, down to like 15-30 fps with a LOT of random freezes. Has anyone been able to fix this or are we just waiting for a fix?

crashes are still happening. only good thing i guess is that isn't crashing my whole display driver anymore. hopefully fix coming soon. nvidia driver wont help me since i have an amd gpu.

I can confirm that rolling back my windows build from 1903 to 1809 has made jack diddly difference to the new insane stuttering I now have

hmm... seem to have had some luck after disabling SLI and also turning on reduced frame latency (but the latter didn't cause issue when restarting the game)

Anyone else experience their key bindings being completely fucked in the latest patch? My ads and fire are other way around, when im in the inventory when I click on an item it brings up extra options, I dolphin diving isnt binded.
Completely different from what I have at home, even when I reset them they are messed
Also the patch before todays, the toggle/hold sprint button dont work as intended, regardless which one I have the character sprints based on a click and stops whenever I hit F for loot which really is super irritating

After making the Echos in the messenger application of The Division 2 and get the rewards: Urban Runner Pants, Urban Runner T-Shirt, Urban Runner Sneakers, Declaration Gun Paint and Trail Finder Arm Patch, Sneakers I have active in the rewards page of Ubisoft club, I do not appear in the game anywhere and I do not know how to get them.

Can you help me or check why I did not get them? I've been waiting two days for the rewards

Btw people since the patch i had my graphics settings changed, so i'd recheck them. There was also Vsync enabled which as we all know is just simply bad.

For whoever that has issues with extreme stuttering after 30min gameplay(not talking about the 100% cpu usage thing)... I had the same for the past month.. did whatever i could to fix it but i couldn't fix it no matter what.. today i upgraded my single channel 8gb to 16gb dual channel and after 7 hours of gameplay I haven't noticed a single stuttering/fps drop. Only some microstutters here and there but thats all

Navigate to my documents>my games>Tom Clancy's The Division 2.
Delete the file called state.cfg
Start the game again
see if it works
