Tidal Basin's scaling is massively whacked, from Story - Normal it goes insane, after someone quit the group down to 3 members it suddenly got much easier, also the boss... I thought they got rid of the immortal bullet sponges?

The AI appears to be even more broken than it was before yesterday's patch. Instead of flanking or surpressing you, they will quite often just run into you. Especially when you flanked them. Instead of looking for new cover they will take their - what, 2 million armor? - and decide that they wan't to have your spot.

That's not what I meant. I have FPS lags since the beta. When I play solo everything is ok with stable 200 fps but as soon as I join a group and we play for more than 5 minutes the game starts lagging and dropping below 10 fps. It definetly is'nt bc of my PC because I tried everything performance enhancing (like lowering graphics etc)

My PC froze. So I pressed what I thought was power button on the left, but this PC power button is on the right. Habit from owning PC with power on the left. So I held I'm the power button on the right to force a restart. I let it sit for 30 seconds and tried to boot. Now my PC keeps restarting, running only for one second then turning off for 5 seconds, again and again until I unplug it? 😯

Great, I just upped a control point alertness, now I get there call for reinforcements and guess what it's bugged... There are no enemies in the control point, they don't spawn, the help arrives and they just stand in the area as if I captured it... but it's obviously red and still is on the map.

After an awful morning (GMT), crashing and freezing constantly, I updated my Windows with the latest available system whatever and the game’s been doing OK since. No issues at all. Even my frame rate went back up. So there is that.

I have had trouble ever since this last update, I know I have a lower end card, yet it plays all the games I play very well, with great fps, and it played this game on medium settings very well. But since the update, nothing but crashes, nothing I do seems to help! I tried disabling DFX 12 I tried all settings on low, I even made a new agent, but as soon as I land on the map within 10 seconds it freezes and crashes!! I am so frustrated!!

@mystic tulip i3 is probably not enough to feed that wonderfull gtx1070 unfortunately

@all the rest. The game seems to crash on anything that tries to get focus on your monitor from overlays to windows backgroundnotifications, it just doen't like them. So disable all overlays (Uplay, discord, afterburner, fpscounter, anything you can think of, etc) Also disable ALL notifications in uplay settings, escpecially the desktop notifications. Last but not least don't change system volume while playing. You will proably still crash from time to time, but hopefully a lot less. Also if your CPU is below or around minimum specs, don't use DX12, it only works well on well balanced mid to high range pc's.

@frank iron my game runs perfectly capped at 70fps 1080p on mostly ultra with 8gb 1600mhz ram. I did however change my windows pagefile to max 10gb. not sure if that's necessary anymore tho. Bottomline, 8gb should be enough for 1080.4K might be another story...

@lofty heart I have uninstalled the game and re installed it, now I went as far as to tear my pc down, unseat my ram sticks and vid card, blow the dust out reset everything, and I have turned all overlays off!! Now the game plays but as soon as I am in game and go to settings, if I try to click on any of the setting options I don't crash but loose video quality, everything turns black and white!

I've had a new gear notification (!) on the main menu next to CHARACTER and also next to INVENTORY since level 5. I'm now WT5 and it's still there.

I've looked at and equipped every single piece of gear, weapon, mod, skill, and grenade I have in both my inventory and my stash including all skins, dyes, and apparel. There are no new items.

If it's a UI bug, how do I fix it? If not, WTF am I missing?! Anyone able to give some insight?

How old or full is your HD? I had issues with stuttering and crashing before the latest patch (yesterday) but both the patch and clearing a considerable amount off my drive almost completely resolved my crash issue.

I had the game on my HDD still had a couple hundred gigs left, but I uninstalled the game, and re installed it on my SSD which is small, but there is still over 100 gig left, I had no issues with the game prior to this last patch, the first patch was fine, the game has been playing fine until this update. Now everything is causing it to crash.

The only think I have yet to try is roll back my graphics driver to the last one, seems there was a graphics update just before this last patch

For todays standards it is low end, but it is only 2 years old, it is the gtx 950 SSC

and it runs every game I play just fine, and ran this one just fine even on medium settings and high settings for water and fog, no stutters, no lag, 80 fps I was ok with that. But since the update, well it is a headache, I just rolled the graphics driver back and going to try again

Look for item - like chest, gloves, etc.. - dyes.

So i completed Tidal Basin for the first time, I'm trying to do it a second time but its not allowing me to change the difficulty to "Invaded". Same for all other Strongholds, diffuculty options are just "Story, Normal, Hard, Challenging". Restarted my game and still the same.

Is there a way to set texture quality/resolution? I have a GTX 1060 6 GB and the VRAM is sometimes at 5.8/6.0 and the game starts to freeze every 5 seconds.
Currently the only "fix" is to restart my PC - after which the game only uses about 4.9 GB/6.0

I hate AI getting stuck on places. I don't have a lot of complaints with the game, but this is one of them.

#

For example, at The Choke control point there's a section on the cat-walk where an AI can (if they decide to jump on the one column) walk off and fall into a small gap.

#

In that gap, the only way to kill them is by throwing down grenades because it's impossible to see them from below and you can't aim down into it. And like, there's other areas where the AI just spawns in stuck or falls into something that gets them stuck.

So played the very last mission blue screened at the start of it finished the mission and didn't advance to World Tier 5 ....So I thought well shit I have to completely redo the mission again.... @lofty heart yes there has been slight shift from gpu to cpu. But you should reset all your settings, cause some of them changed, porbably just that.

@mild hinge yes it's very broken. It makes your game crash every 3 minutes lol. Just disable in-game AND desktop notifications in uplay settings and you should be fine.

I wish it was that. It's been lower across the board for me. Took a major hit to performance and stability to the point where I'd fluctuate between 50-70fps by staring at a wall.

every time I boot game up and it goes to connect I get bravo-04 error, after a 5 or 6 try's it finally connects.

@lone dragon there are 2 blueprints. First use the lullaby upgrade one. This requires the sweet dreams shotgun. You will lose the sweet dreams after crafting though.Next use the lullaby upgrade gear to get it to 500. For this you need the upgraded lullaby in your inventory and not marked as favourite + you need exotic components which ironically you get by deconstructing exotic gear

@steady pagoda might wanna upgrade your rig, ive rarely crashed, never on dx11 and only once since dx12 two weeks ago. I'm running a 1070 with a i7-7700k and 16GB DDR4 RAM

you can also try to locate the file in which it saves the reason for the crash, crash logs, youd have to google where those are located for Div2 and based from that u can visible see what causes it and work from there

It's not the rig, my rig has been fine and can play everything fine. The game was fine before this patch. Yeah I would have a crash here or there but for the most part it was fine I could play hours on end with no crashes. The crashes didn't start happening frequently until after this patch both in DX12 and for the first time DX11. This is a problem with the game.

Also there is no crash logs. I don't know if it's because the way it's crashing but no crash logs show up in Div2 game folders. The folder is just blank. @lofty heart

About the year one pass and capital defender pack, i game share on xbox with my brother , he bought the game, do these things share? Or does only he get those? I was told it was my rig as well, but I am seeing those with 1080's complaining.. I would say my rig needs an upgrade, but that is not the reason for all these random crashes, no, not when since the games release I have played hours and hours, all day, not one crash ever.. Now I am lucky to get in even an hour, and that is iffy.. I have several types of crashes and they happen at different times, sometimes right when I spawn on the map within 5 seconds or so I freeze and crash. Sometimes Ill be playing for 15 20 minutes everything is fine, I open the map click anything boom crash! but that in itself is not consistent because last night I played for an hour and was in the map marking things the whole time, but then when I left a mission on my way back to Castle it froze in a firefight and crashed.. SO something is up, and it is not my system. I can go to Division 1 and play all day not one crash, and again, before this second update Division 2 played perfectly fine for me! Fingers crossed they figure it out

I'm trying to run the game on my Dell gaming laptop and for some reason the game always overrides my resolution settings and runs at 4k, even when I manually set it to 1280.
Has anyone else experienced this?
I uninstalled drivers, the game, reset all settings, and everytime i try and play it goes back to 4k. We're out of ideas at this point.

Specs: 1080ti FTW3 / 8700k / 32gb DDR4 RAM, game on NVMe SSD M.2, 1440p ultrawide montior . I get about 105-120fps. Randomly i will get these stutters and when it happens i notice my FPS has dipped to around 60fps. It doesn't happen but for a second or two but it happens fairly often. I would say every 10-15mins maybe? Any ideas?

Hey guys. My brother is trying to get his game to run smoother, he is having a hard time with stuttering, graphics not loading, and it freezing for a few seconds. He is running the game off his SSD, has 16 gigs of RAM, and is using a GTX 1060. He has all his settings on the lowest possible, but still is barely able to run the game. Here is a screenshot of what he is looking at all the time. Any ideas?

That's a toughy. Usually when I see something like this it's the program having trouble loading from a cache. I would recommend a disk error check (or look at the SMART stats for an SSD I suppose) but I don't think that's the issue here.

After trying everything posted, I still crash all the time, so I went and deleted the folder Division 2 in the C/user files, restarted the game, that changed the resolution to default, so far 2 hours no crashes, a bit laggy at times or glitchy, not to often, but playable. So if your crashing like crazy, try to delete that file, then when you restart the game, do not make any changes in the files to do with graphics or video!! It is working for me so far!

@desert wolf Sorry friend, but there are way to many of us, that sort of have a clue about our computers, not everyone, I get it, but many of us do. It is not my computer as I stated several times, if it was my computer then all other high end games would also be giving me issues. there is something that has changed in this last update that has caused hundreds of us to experience this issue. And there are a varied range of graphic cards experiencing it, high end cards as well, but not everyone seems to have it. Anyway, it is not my computer for sure.

Most crashes are due to not having the latest updates in windows + not having the latest graphics drivers installed after the updates. So many people have not checked for windows updates meaning they don't have 1809 windows update which brings new directx12 update aswell and new net.framework updates. If you don't have 1809 windows 10 patch, then you might have issues.

So if players don't have those, then that's the first thing to start at.

@warm jungle Shutdown everything, like web browsers and other stuff.. The only thing what should be on is discord/teamspeak, uPlay and the game. Also turn off every overlay, including the one from uPlay. That seems to work for me, the game uses a lot of CPU and GPU and I would not even be surprised if its having massive memory leaks going on.

@lofty heart well all i can suggest is after you finish setuping your settings alt+tab and head to the Documents\My Games\Tom Clancy's The Division 2 and mark "graphic settings.cfg" and "state.cfg" as read only but not sure if it's gonna help you :(

I played all night last night, I had only Discord and the game, usually I have both monitors full, I run a a pretty large clan in another game so there is always something going on, I usually have Steam, Origin, Uplay open plus TS and Discord, and about 20 browser tabs lol, and that is just for gaming not to mention if I am watching a video of someones game play and so on. Since the update I have had so many crashes like has been explained time and again, but last night with only Uplay and Discord open not one crash! @sudden rover must be something to it!

@tribal flare you can see it Social menu, at the bottom right corner - window that show you who was it and you could open a map then and switch to tab with requests and select one of the requests.. not very handy, but it work now. hope they fix it soon

@lofty heart your config file got messed up. For some people settings got reset, for others only partially and for some, like you, it just got wasted 😉 I think you can safely delete the .cfg files in documents/mygames/tomclancysthe division2. It should remake those, and hoepfully let you boot again

I'm sure no one remembers, but I had a friend who was having blue screen crashes. Anyway, long story short, we figured it out. He cleaned his heatsink and fan, reapplied thermal paste and all that. Turns out he was just overheating.

Hey guys. I'm having trouble receiving the event appareal cache keys in DZ. I leveld up 10-15 level now and it showed that I got some keys in the left corner were you see all the loot you pick up but when I check the appareal event screen the number for keys stays on 0.
I found a reddit thread 2 days from 2 days ago with the same problem. Anybody knows how can I fix this? Am I doing anything wrong? Do I need to claim them somewhere?

there are still alot of bugs same one from before that they said they fixxed but they are getting worse and worse . i had that too i just did something else instead of farming for them caches for a while i wasnt receiving any either and it takes a long time fo rme to get any. the issue i have now is that when i go into a mission i get frozzen in place, i can shot but cannot move so i lose all the final fight armor and stuff that drops. I also another thing that they said they fixxed is crashes i crash alot in this game.

if you're worried your temps are too low, you should run the integrated bench and see if you can crank up those settings a bit more. Seems like your gpu isn't loaded very much, but hey maybe you have rtx2080 for all I know 😉

Also update your windows 10 (if you have one) to the latest patch manually. Update your GPU drivers. Turn off overlays. Play fullscreen. There's nothing wrong with fullscreen or DX12. If the game crashes at DX12 you probably just don't have the latest win10 patches.

Yeah 1809 is latest, there's more updates after that though. I suggest you check. I also suggest to turn off game dvr, game bar and game mode. Also put your GPU to default.

First thing to troubleshoot is put your PC at default settings without overclocks. If the game then still keeps crashing, then look for something else.

At 1440p tbh i don't think you need to overclock your GPU. Also if you don't overclock the memory, i think it's not worth overclocking just the core. So i suggest either OC manually and painfully stresstesting every 10mhz increment with patience, or not do it at all.

So for now, put the GPU to default and go play The division 2, if it doesn't crash then that's the culprit.

ryzen 7 1700, gtx 1080, 16gb ram.... no notifications/overlays of any sort as was suggested to be fix, playing in dx11 in windowed fullscreen.... still crashes

thats what i was playing with before and it ran like a dream... they patch it and it crashes every 10-15 minutes...

Just my 2 cents, EVGA Precision causes crashes in some games with some builds. Windowed fullscreen is great if you have multiple monitors and prefer a (deeper contrast) look to the game. DX12 sucks ass! Try disabling 'fullscreen optimizations' by right-clicking TheDivision2.exe, properties, compatibility. Also, delete the game files in documents/my games/ the division 2 and run the game again. **Do not delete the user_bindings file though unless you want to redo them all.

I leveled up 2 characters to 30. Grinded 1 to 502gs over a couple of days. Transfered all gear to character 2 and started the very first introduction mission for tidal basin at the lab.

After completion of mission continued to play but NOTHING has dropped above 450 for character 2. Went back to character 1 and game drops random GS loot with no issues.

When I select my "Climbing Gloves" to recalibrate the Red Attribute, the "Yugake" do not appear in the list?

@kind sierra @steel willow @white sedge @still cedar disabling both in-game and desktop notifications in uplay notifications settings solved 95% of the crashing for me. Since latest patch i started crashing every 10 mins until I disabled these notifications. If that doesn't work try to reinstall directX and c++ redistributable. You can find them in ubisoft/games/division2/tools. Good luck!

@white sedge also if none of that helps, monitor your SSD/HDD when it lags look at the usage. It shouldn't be spiking over 100% if it does that's likely your issue, I switched from SSD to HDD and suddenly no lag, so if your drive is bad it could also be causing those issues. Also Logitech sound drivers need to be fully updated or they will make your game lag like mad

yes patch messed up dynamic sounds. Gunsounds are waaaaaaay too loud compared to environmental sounds, and no way to adjust. Try playing LMG lol constantly changing volumes between fights, completely destroying atmosphere which is supposed to be this game's strongpoint

@viral otter so today I switched the game to my ssd, game still crashed, so my game would go in to Windows mode then crash, I'm using the Logitech Hub software not the Logitech gaming software btw, I've tried taking out all my drivers playing the game with out them still crashes, disable all start up apps in msconfig, still crashed, adding the game an the easy anti cheat to windows Defender and my firewall, disable overlays, taken off game mode, putting a tick on Disable Fullscreen optimizations an the dpi one, redownload the game like 5 times, I think I'm missing out a few stuff I did, but yeah I did alot an my game still crashes....

Hey guys i have a weird problem since the latest patch. When i start division 2, it starts with just 3 FPS, means EVERYTHING is lagging so hard (Loading to main menu etc). I normally play in 4k with stable 60 fps on high-ultra settings on my 8700k + rtx 2080 without any issues at all.

The game does that when it loses focus. Perhaps it has something to do with that? Mine was doing weird things with windowed mode, thinking my screen was much larger. Windowed mode might be bugged at the moment.

@kind sierra if yu're having bsod, then it's more likely that you have temperature issue. pls check your temps. This game can easily push both cpu and gpu to a constant max load, which at prolonged times overheat badly cooled or oc'd systems

@lofty heart try disabling both in-game and desktop notifications in uplay notifications settings. Solved 95% of my crashes. with notifications on i get crash evry 10 mins, without maybe once per night 😉 good luck

I'm really getting frustrated with the getting shot through all forms of solid cover, getting stuck on invisible walls/ladders, getting stuck on the sides of walls and not being able to jump down or up/over as well. I didn't have any of these issues in alpha/beta and not until recent patches.....almost to a point of not wanting to play till it's truly fixed 😦

I only crashed once so far but every once inawhile i get frame freeze/stutter for a good second. Also get memory leaks every once inawhile

im 99.9% sure that the stuttering and bad performance its related with the NPC respawns/gunfights... if devs reduce the npc's the game will be look like div1 streets (empty af)...thats the problem

Step 1: Go to the directory where The Division 2 is installed; "\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Tom Clancy's The Division 2"
Step 2: Right Click on TheDivision.exe and select PROPERTIES option.
Step 3: Click on the "Compatibility" Tab.
Step 4: Tick the checkbox that reads "Disable Full Screen Optimization."
Step 5: Select "Change High DPI Settings" option
Step 6: Tick the checkbox that reads "Override High DPI Scaling Behaviour. Scaling Performed by." and from the dropdown menu select "Application."
Step 7: Click OK.
NOTE: Make sure you have turned OFF Steam Overlay and Ubisoft Overlay.

I have a 7+ year old CPU and can run this game with no issues. I mention my CPU because it is bottlenecking my build currently. If your drivers are not up to date and you don't meet the min specs of the game you will have issues. Hell even windows not being up to date can cause issues. While there are issues with the game a lot of them are usually on the USER end of things not the DEVELOPER end of things.

Again every PC build is different I'm not saying issues aren't present at all. There are issues and a lot of them can be fixed with patching on the games side, but not everyone keeps everything up to date.

I have nvidia gtx1060, wife has AMD 7870. Disabling in-game and desktop notifications in UPLAY solved BOTH our frequent(2x/hour) crashing. So that's obviously NOT nvidia related. It does sometimes still crash when I start a mission in group, about once per night, but i can live with that for now.

Wonderful, apparently my game got corrupted files out of nowhere when i was just playing th egame just fine before and after the patch was done it began to give mike and oscar-01 error now after "verify" i have to redownload the game just wonderful and all of this happened after trying to join another person in a invaded mission "lincoln memorial"

There is a building with a curt yard at Pennsylvania and 14th street, after the fight in the curt yard you get a key drop, your directed to release the hostage, you hear her as you climb the latter, you get to the room she is locked in and unlock it, it is empty lol you look no where you can find her, but you still hear her asking you to get her out lol

LOL Never mind, you have to walk into the room/elevator and she just appears lol

Oh so sorry if this has been mentioned before... Im GS 508 W5. My crafting bench only allows me to craft up to level 200 loot. There is no "X to Upgrade" button while facing (but not interacting) with the crafting bench nor is there any such button while interacting with the bench.

[[[[Directed at ubisoft developpers]]]] ->This game is in pre-release state guys. you should embrace that fact. your roadmap - patch note content is apologetic. Every other sentence starts with, we acknowledge that, we understand that, etc. So do we, we are playing the game. you want us to work with you. We can. I sincerely think that players can work with you on bugs and content better if the state of the game is communicated clearly to them. The game system, the gear system, the game balance, are all over the place, and bugs abound. Again, we can work with that. Please work with your marketing team. You're not working on a free additionnal content update, i'm telling you sincerely, it's bullshit. you're working on finishing the base game. Everybody who plays the game knows that. You want communication and feedback from your playerbase. start by acknowledging the state of the game, then we can talk. I'm not saying that angrily, i'm saying that candidly.
