Whenever I hit ESC instead of opening the options menu it just unlocks the cursor and drops my FPS to 10. Hitting ESC again doesn't cancel it, but right clicking does. With the map or inventory open, hitting ESC just lowers my framerate, doesn't back out of either. I have to bring the cursor over and click the [ESC| Back] button...

Contaminated area east-mall bugs for me. First time I went in I got all the phones and all 3 yellow keys. But mission didn't change from red to grey. Now when I go in the yellow key is again there in the entry hall, and the second appears when activating all displays. ok take the usb surround adapter off and just plug the headphones as nromal stereo with jack, this should help until patch for logitech surround adapter
for swap: just google how to set pagefile windows 10, and set initial to 6000 and max to 10000 adn don't forget to restart pc for it to take effect

To solve my crashed problems, I started to start windows with minimal services. And it's fix the problem. But increasing my swap permit me to play without crashes and keeping allés my services as logitech software or msi afterburner

Just to throw this out there, I ended up resetting my PC and reinstalled the game (from a backup HDD) and I don’t have the performance issues anymore....for now anyway. I did have one lock up though but then got hit with an in game error code after and got logged out. But it was fine after that 🤔

Just as a follow up.. I was crashing and studdering pretty bad. Tried many of the fixes out there and found the following to fixed in.
1 uninstall the game
2 make sure the beta is uninstalled
3 make sure all folder are deleted out of your documents/my games folder for both beta and reg game
4 search for any division 2 file/folders left on you machine... Delete
5 reboot
6 uninstall
7 adjust graphics settings as suggested above many times e
8 take back the city

@chrome lark the black screen at startup and the windowed mode glitch is caused by some ingame overlay. In many cases here it's seemed to be the Discord overlay. so since you're here there's a good chance you have Discord overlay enabled

hey all. my cousin is having a audio issue that i hope there's a fix. he's got a logitech g933 headset and gets audio in the opening screen till the game fully boots then it stops. if the game is running in the background there's sound, but not when actually in the game. he's tried reloading drivers and messing with the settings and nothings worked. he went back to using his Astro A40s and it works fine. any thoughts?

So I noticed I had my AMD GPU not set on High performance mode, played for 2 hours long, while the lag spikes still persist, and are annoying, they dont freeze for as long as they were when then GPU profile was on balanced

I did a benchmark after playing for 2 hours, and I saw my GPU dips in usage causing a lag spike, the problem is, it only happens in DX12, and I get like 40FPS with DX11 🤐

Yeah, exactly, I get more stable FPS with DX12 than DX11, just has more spikes than DX11 does over all, (it actually does spike, but it isnt as apparent, because the FPS isnt all that stable)

DX12 is a lower level graphics API requiring more work from the developers. And thus more ways for them to screw up and give us crashes ❤

The software from Microsoft is more widely used and tested which generally results in less errors, etc. Now every programmer has to re-invent the wheel over and over. This is done to get increased performance but there are more caveats. One of them is that in DX9 and OpenGL there are mechanics to prevent crashes on errors. On DX12 and Vulkan these are goners as this allows for an increase of speed but at the same time pose a risk as there is no safety feature to catch any wrongs of a programmer.

most recent crash was a sound one that reset all discord settings- logitech software is not installed at all.

just did benchmark in game with dx12 (very high ultra) 75fps, gpu 76% cpu 58%
personally think the game has a major memory leak, as last time i had such issues it was exactly that. any other game runs fine af no crashes

another bug ill put in is full freeze with peripherals frozen aswell. only div2 does this, never experienced it in any other game. even anthem didnt have this many full crash/bsod problems (though it had the same ones happen a bazillion times more)

legit though just did more hardware tests after div2 crashed again freezing all peripherals and screen- and found no faults. seems to be very much tied to something in div2 not working, which is opposite to everything ubi has responded with.

(I have sent a bug report to Ubisoft regarding this)
Whilst I was mid-opening a Superior apparel cache I was auto-teleported by a partymember as they entered a mission area.
This locked up the menu, didn't give me the cosmetics, but DID consume the key (and the fragments needed to craft it).
Logging out/in and restarting client hasnt fixed anything.
No new item was listed in chat, or visible in my cosmetics.
Anyone experienced this too or know a fix?

@lime crown it can happen when your in a coop party, the sync of the mission is validated in the other session but not yours
The workaround is to find someone who didn't done the mission yet and he goes to speak and unlock it for you.

You must be level30 to start the final story mission
and exp after that gets you loot too. In a gear based game, it's a requirement to progress

Theres a known bug if you do a certain mission before meeting with the coordinator it blocks you from talking with him and breaks 2 different missions so you legit cant pass

Hi, today I downloaded the Division 2. From the Character creation screen, character always falling when it is idle. Even in cover, aiming and shooting.

Also from a development perspective 2-6 weeks is really not a lot of time to get a huge amount of stuff done. Also you have to consider the fact that fixing a bug might lead to a bigger problem overall. Take the memory leak in chromium the engine that runs chrome they have said until its time to rewrite the engine that bug will persist bc the fix will cause a much bigger issue.
Also I think they pulled basically their entire staff to try and fix the cool down /skills bug which slows down everything else
