@wary gust I've had a few instances of enemies (or allies) spawning underground, or falling through the ground. Enemies, for me at least, usually auto-die after a while of being down there. For allies, I had to leave the area and come back

hello everyone, just wanted to shared this with you. My game crashed since the alpha test .. I think I've found how to avoid the crashes (in my case at least) : enable virtual memory ! I didn't use it until now but I noticed in the windows events logs that TD2 crashed cause of memory, I have 16 GB but .. looks like it needs it

Anyone else getting massive framedrops randomly? The game will play fine at 90fps then drop randomly down to 20fps for about 30 seconds or so and shoot back up. I've been spending like all day trying to fix it.

I picked the game up Friday and it played great for about the 4 hours I played. Then yesterday I play for like 8 it was happening every few hours or so. But today it's like every 20 minutes.
Have you tried deleting the cache folder in your documents folder under My Games/The Division 2

yeah my friends got no problems with massive framedrops and his rig is like 5x worse than mine is. When the game runs fine i can play at ultra at 90fps, but the 20fps drops just make it a slideshow. I pretty much just have to stop whatever im doing and wait for it too pass. I just deleted that cache folder. So hopefully that helps

it feels like a cache problem. It happens the most when you like loading new areas, or jumping into combat.

Okay, I'm pretty upset right now about nvidia and I don't know what to do. I ran benchmarks before changing my settings to get better quality and performance by changing my graphics settings, and before I was averaging 87 fps and a 7823 score on the 417.35 driver released back in Dcemeber. On the same driver, I changed my settings and was able to get even better frames at 98 fps average and with a score of 8794. Then, I updated to the latest driver thats supposed to be "optimized" for the division 2 without changing any settings at all. Immediately I get an average 75 fps and a 6755 score after doing this, so then I download the driver I was originally on and installed it, ran a test again, and I get worse results at 74 fps and a 6655 score despite being on the driver I was on before. I then decide to restart my pc to see if maybe it needed to be restarted, and test again, and its even worse at 73 fps and a 6591 score. These last three scores are in the margin of error I guess with testing, but why are my frames now over 20 fps lower than before even though I have the same driver I had before? Do I need to somehow find the new driver and uninstall it? I thought that installing the old driver would uninstall the new one.

@tropic tulip Charlie-03, just like all other Charlie errors, is related to the Easy Anti-Cheat System. Best bet is to verify/re-verify your game files on Uplay.

Figured out delta 03 code on xbox!!! Buy a new one....most folks are still running og xbox one. As for pc cats..get rid of all overlays and make sure you dont have any sneaky sneak apps running. (Maybe not a universal all fix just what I found to work)

I think i finally fixes the issue with crashing
one, turned the game settings to low...not sure why that is an issue on a GTX 1080.
and 2, I disabled the new service "SysMain" that once was called SuperFetch (which was disabled always on my PC from the get go, but update to 1803/1809 reenabled it)

@austere jasper I am experiencing the same thing too. I use the chem launcher for heals and the hive as a wide area grenade when people are in range. Pretty much if it has nothing to hit immediately, it disappears. If it has a target, then there is a good chance it stays.
Those and the shields are the only gadgets that seem to work right now, thanks to this bug

@vestal matrix known bug hopefully being worked on. Work around is to end task Logitec surround sound in task manager. @pure mason if you are using logictec headset this applies to you as well.

So with the skill bug causing them to despawn and go on 15 sec cooldown. can anyone else verify that removing the custom skin mods makes the bug go away. I didnt have the issue until i put them on and now that i have removed them I have been playing for several hours without it happening once.

@wary geyser 99% of pc shutting down while gaming is cpu temperature problem. It doesn't do it in rust/apex/pubg because those probably use about half the cpu power the division does. The division 2 is first game that flats out my gtx1060 while keeping cpu at 80-100% all the time. Only very few games push modern gaming cpu that far so yeah probably temp related. U can get idea of your cpu usage by running the benchmark located in the division settings.

It did this similarly in Div1, but it could be fixed easily by just setting affinity in task manager and unchecking a core. You can't do that anymore due to EAC.

I have a question about my game, I usually get 50-75 fps on the low settings and I play on a res of 1280x1024 4:3 stretched. But my game keeps dropping to 1-20 fps and crashing. Does anyone know how to fix it or perhaps what to upgrade in my pc?

@true zephyr yes although dx12 is supposed to diminish cpu overhead allowing the cpu and gpu to work together more efficiently, this will often result in higher cpu usage when pared with potent gpu (gtx1060 and above) because the gpu can get get a lot more work done now, the cpu has to feed it even more. So in a balanced pc this will result in a higher and more stable fps, but on systems with slighty older cpu it will quickly translate to cpu bottleneck. You should finetune ur settings until the provided benchmark gives about 80-90% cpu average and 98-100% gpu. hope bthis helps

I think it has to be bugged because no way it is only 20% GPU usage but the game is so much more smooth on DX12 than DX11, DX11 uses around 60% CPU and 75-80% GPU usage but feels like there is micro stutters even with Ryzen 1800x and RTX 2070.

@lofty heart Yea for sure it's your GPU. 1440p is not really the resolution a 1060 shines could try to give it a bigger overclock to bump up the fps a bit. or switch to 1080p and turn the settings up higher.

I don't know what happened but ever since I started playing through the Roosevelt Stronghold, I've been experiencing crashes every 5 - 20 minutes. Both DX11 and DX12. Of course I crashed sometimes but it was at most once every 3 hours. I've a GTX 1080Ti that is running perfectly. No idea what's causing these problems

To clarify: I had no problems with the Arena (Hyena Stronghold). These 'more frequent' crashes started happening the moment I entered the Roosevelt Island. I managed to complete it, albeit with lots of crashes through the mission. I thought that it was just limited to that one island but I'm also experiencing it if I go for the Capitol Stronghold.

Hi all! I would like to ask for some tipps/toughts on a problem I've encountered. So basically I'm at the doorway of the end game and all the missions so far has been done in coop. On my friends map. Of course every step has been don/activated by myself too... BUT... Now if I hop in game in my own (singleplayer) map shows that I need to reactivate the SHD network (again bc I've done it coop and single too). And when I get to the terminal, I don't have a prompt to interact with it... And I can't get rid of the quest market, and it seems that the game hasn't aknowledged that I've already activated the network twice. Have you guys encountered this or same problems? Bugs exist constantly. That's why we have patches. That's why we have beta's. Not every game can be made completely perfect without a bug or a glitch.

ik it must be extremely frustrating to have your game crash and bugout, i am sure devs tested loads of PC configurations not that dosent includes all PC configs. this can go wrong anywhere. games arent as simple as they use to back in 1990s and early 2000s. give them some time. i am sure they will be quick to fix the issues.

you still know how they fixed the bug with the 50% chance of getting a free bullet on headshots talent? the talent was jamming the guns....you could not shoot anymore if you did reload while the talent procced....they made the talent not work on the last bullet in the gun. so it only jammed if you reload manually .....

The fact they've had the fps drops issue listed in the Known Issues thread on the forums for 4 days now with the status saying "investigating" with ZERO improvements or even an update on a possible patch is a bit frustrating. I'd understand if this was an early access title but its not, this game is in full release and we can't even play because of this game breaking BS.

Has anybody had an issue with game files going corrupt? I have ran into a couple of issue with crashes and when I verify the files in uplay it says they are corrupt. They can't be repaired and I have to re-downlaod the game

@tiny bluff try some other things. First , standard check if sys is up to date -> gpu drivers,windows.Then try to install it on another Drive instead tje one you used. next try a clean boot and launching the game from the .exe file

Okay, I have a new type of problem. I was nearing the end of the Rayburn House Side Mission and then as I was moving through the garage got a bit too close to the exit while I was still fighting enemies. The game crashes. I reload the game to restart it and when I enter into the character, it crashes again on loading up the save point.
Right now even after restarting my computer, the game still won't let me load up this character.
I have now lost 50+ hrs on a character.
I can't load up this file at all because it will only crash now.
Is there any way to reload the game outside of a now looking like failed sidequest?

I've been having constant unpredictable crashes, sometimes they'd happen after 5 minutes, sometimes after 30. I tried all of the possible troubleshooting to no avail until I decided to turn the graphics down from Nvidia's recommendations to low settings. That solved my crashing but the frames strangely haven't improved. I'm not looking for advice, just spreading some info incase anyone else is having similar problems.

@lofty agate hi, I had a similar problem as you. But to fix it, I didn't lower my graphics, I increased the size of the swap of my computer. Yesterday, it works for an other payer with exactly th same problem. Try this and maybe you'll be able to play in same qualité as before.

Yo, I have an issue with hard lock stutters in-game, it was unplayable on day 1 til someone told me to kill my Logitech processes which actually made the game run flawless. But after like an hour of playtime it hard locks in combat off and on. Any suggestions? Already running game on lowest settings and it didnt change nothing. Goes from 75+ fps to 0

That logitech process coming back? some of them do that. If your hardware is newer, switch to G Hub it's a bit of a pain in the ass, but it eliminates the Logitech Surround System problem.

FIX for everyone with 5 min crash or gradually increasing lag spikes! Mr Google told me to manually set the windows pagefile to 10Gb and it works!!
so either they have just a little memory managment problem regarding ram and vram limits or there is some minor memory leak and increasing the pagefile postpones the problem long enough to play a few hours 😉 anyway it works for me. no need for flowers 😉

If I use Dx11 I get like 30-50 fps, if I use dx12 I get 60fps constant with occasional freeze frame stutters of as long as 2-3secs after 15-20minutes of gameplay
I wanna keep using Dx12 but how do I fix the stutters
Using Ryzen 5 2500u, RX 560X 4GB, 8GB ram (6.9GB usable) 5200RPM HDD
It's same as @restive phoenix I think 🤔, it's same goes away after restarting the game

@frank ice first of all, I see a lot of stutter reports for Ryzen cpu's so maybe there's a specific problem there which will need patching...

on the other hand check your ingame benchmark and try to adjust ur settings so that you have about 80-90%cpu average and 98-100 gpu average

you should do tests seprately for both dx11 and dx12 since they can behave quite differently

I did, DX11 gives me like 30fps in zone4 and 40fps in zone3
Where as Dx12 stays 60fps and drops around 56 in Zone 3
But if I do the benchmarking after a while the lag spikes occur randomly and rather aggressively
And for some reason if I use Dx11 my GPU usage goes around 70-80 in zone 4

also i'm not sure a 5200tpm (laptop)Hdd can stream HD textures fast enough to keep up with the rest of ur hardware at higher settings
zone 1 is heavy on the reflections so try lowering those

I'm on intel i9600k, rtx2070 and 16gb ram, plus blazing fast ssd so I can't see it's hardware related in my case.

I checked my Task manager and that 6.9 usable runs out way too quickly

i have i5 3570 oc @4.3 with gtx1060 with 8gb and runs nice and stable at 70fps

just started crashing every 5 mins yesterday which immediatly stopped after increasing pagefile to 10
yeah i'm postponing buying a new rig until the next gen consoles come out. then you just buy the same but better and your good for 7 years again 😉

think my pagefile is 'managed by windows', so I'll give the pagefile setting a shot

@frank ice @lofty heart @restive phoenix I put my pagefile to 6Go (as suggested by windows) and solved all my problems. Playing in 2K, near ultra setting at 60fps.

I just set my page file 8000-11000, hope that works
