I am not in a kingdom that would even be close to this, but I still think this needs to be done. Alliances need to be bigger.

Yes most kingdoms are NOWHERE near 150 main accounts, so this has been a non issue. But the problem with mergers I see is you may create 2 or 3 alliance kingdoms, most players dont want to be in the 2nd or 3rd alliance, everyone wants to be in the main alliance. I think we should double the size of soc alliances, R4s and kings of large SOC kingdoms should probably chime in as well, but I know biggest complaint about multi alliance kingdoms is the coordination, there is already a lack of good leadership in the game and trying to fill 2 or 3 alliances with active r4s and a leader is extemely diffucult. If eveyone is under 1 roof, it would be a bit easier for leadership in my opinion. For all other kingdoms would just allow you to have more farms in the main to run more forts.

We can't even full entire alliances with main accounts.. Since the kingdoms forced to merge are tiny and don't have enough contribution I doubt that they will even hit the max player of main accs in a single alliance

If merging the D seeds create 2 or 3 alliance kingdoms like you said I would be absolutely stunned.
More than likely it’ll take 3-6 kingdoms with 4-12 fighters like many D seeds, and combine. Even on the high end, that’s 72 slots. Plenty room for farms even.

I really don’t think of all the issues that can and will arise this is one of them.

IMO increase to 250 members would be an improvement already, especially for KvK when people focus on a single main alliance to fight.
