I think I nailed this poor blokes look of despair 
It’s nice to look back on old art pieces I’ve made
Although the overall style didn’t change much in the past years it definitely became more refined and consistent
From poses to proportions, hands and detailing, all have grown even by just a tiny amount
First time I’ve done shading like this in awhile and I think it came out alright

Thinking of adding a new faction to my game, if you haven’t seen the post that was before this one I’ll explain
Bla bla bla, fabricated humanoids stuck in an expansive underground cave system, bla bla lore bla bla, they are forced to work for this corporation while working with 3 others of alone.
Each member of a “crew” can be one different class each. Each class having a different and unique skill in which they can help the team or for survival if delving down alone
The base 4 are:
-Weasle: the Scout
-Bull: the Tank
-Dove: the Medic
-Wanderer: the Navigator
Each base class has a subclass which changes the role of what they do while maintaining their base class attributes, ex: a Scout could be switched out into a Field Medic and the Medic can turn into a Alchemist.
However you can have multiple of the same class “typing”
Ex: you can’t have a Dove: Medic with a Weasle: Field Medic. Only one of each.
Each class has a maximum carry capacity, speed, health, fear limit, and stamina. You get it. The base game stuff plus a few more.
The darkness is the enemy and only strong firelight and electrical light repel the dark, and light firelight and electrical light only slows the darknesses grip on your body.
“The darkness consumes the lost, like a void that always watches.”
The dead rise from the abyss as Husks, common enemies that lurk in the pitch black caverns
Each class turns into a unique Husk variant and depending on the corruption level of the cavern they succumbed in, they could mutate into a Abyssal variant
These are 3 of the Husks:
-Scorn Husk
-Volatile Husk
-Banshee Husk
There’s a Husk for the Bull called the “Wrecker Husk” but I’ve yet to land on a design I like
There are two existing factions, the C.D.A. “Cavern Dwellers Association” which or you allies but not particularly your friends. And then there’s the “Marauders” a faction of traitor Dwellers turned mercenaries
Each mercenary class has a unique Husk variant from the base 4 which is a unique behavior
This new enemy type is called Mutants. Native to the Labs location of the Caverns. I won’t speak much of this location but that is was a child company under the C.D.A. But went dark in an undisclosed time, but residual energy signals have been detected, giving to idea that the Cavern as begun to absorb and adapt the labs as a “sector” rather than being a stagnant location.
This is the first type of Mutant. A being twice the size of a Wanderer Dweller and 1.5 times the size of a Bull Dweller. Humanoid in appearance but not cooperative in nature, more animalistic and territorial in nature. A name hasn’t been made yet nor is this the final design for them.
I do like the face but I might change the body in some ways

production has begun on another, simpler game ive suddenly got the feeling for. a more combative game rather than methodical. and frankly less taxing to develop... but it begins nontheless!
ive got some concepts to differentiate the different each subclass for each of the main 4 classes, however im not yet please with the designs to show them just yet.
Here’s the concepts for the Weasel archetype and I’ve decided to change where the game takes place in my story.
Rather than have this game start somewhere in the middle of the timeline, I’ll have it start at its beginning. Before there was a corporation in control of the cave, and even before the surface world was lost.
Back when the caves were a labyrinth of tunnels, scars made by mining activity. Back when the caves were a spot for small bands of Mercs could get rich quick with spoils.
Your only allies are the ones fighting with you. The others who explore the caves are no longer your friends…
You will play as one of these bands of Mercs, created by your company to get riches and claim wealth. But as we all well know…
The living aren’t the only ones that walk along the caves.
Thinking of ways to spice up the in betweens of battles is a bit tricky but I have a few ideas

We be posting anything but art rn but hear me out I have a valid reason (at least for me)
I got FL studio and started producing some actual music using an actually good music software, gone are the days of using some free music app on my phone! That wasn’t garage band… and forward to new skies!
I’ll eventually get to finishing those concepts once I find a stopping point in music composition… I hate that way my brain works but we’ll get there eventually…

Worked on fleshing out the storyline
As Q is your main, and quite frankly only, relevant antagonist in the two games I’ve decided that Q’s 2 acolytes will become main antagonists instead of just Q
Thankfully I don’t need people to voice characters. As Q is the only character that will have an actual voice instead of small chirps for their text boxes
Also the Husk infection and the Darkness as a whole has been changed from a light avoiding in-world pathogen to the result of glitched code in the games world
Not actually bugs and glitches but just L o r e based bugs and glitches that won’t actually affect the game itself
I was thinking about the future of the lore
Can’t have Q the whole way through, things would get old
But the world Q belongs to is a world doomed to end so I’ll need to move onto new stories
Dimensional travel is a thing in their universe but it’s more of a one time jump. And it’s not limited to what can pass through.
So the Husk can spread beyond what it’s grasped in its clutches. Like a Halo Flood ah takeover
Having you play as the little unfortunates probably won’t be discarded. To be frank, I’ve grow attached to these little guys and they’re simplistic design
But I of course won’t have them in every game I make.
Can’t get lax and lose my creative edge

Made another track for my game. Specifically when fighting Husks.
Made it sound crunchy like it’s glitched the music. And a remixed track for the Abyssal Husks. Though their designs are still in the beta stage… can’t find a design I like yet…
