i saw your tutorial and i found it useful to put the Head Game Object under Orientation as well that way it will be at the same position as the glasses and the camera wont be able to see it at any times....

@sullen ridge i use a trigger on the player thats specically looks for gameobjects marked as weapons. If it finds on, it adds it to a list of guns inside the trigger. And when the player picks it up, its moved to the camera and parented there

my idear(this defently wouldnt include me so its not biast) is give a free key to whoever holds a wr on the game at the time of release. also @sullen ridge people would just copy code from his tutorial and project files. you would have to do a different one like a level of ots. then it could be in ots and there would be no issues. so it could be epic. also another issue is not everyone can code in unity the best so it would be rather unfair. oh ye i hate this 10min timmer

@sour tusk will you be changing the timer when slow-mo? I think the optimal way for the speedruns would be to just not slow down the timer in slow-mo, or just slightly slow the timer down. That way people can still use it, but are heavily punished for doing so.
(However not slowing down the timer at all might be bad for more casual players, since they'll still want to get good times, but wouldn't want to spend a lot of time perfecting the map without slow-mo to get really good times)

@magic loom The reason I don't show the optimizations and stuff is because the majority of my audience don't care. But I used Unity's Navmesh system, and also put all the agents on seperate "ticks", so that they all update on different frames intervalls, that way there aren't any spikes, but it's smoothed over several frames. Those are some of the things I did, also batching the material, etc etc

@unkempt totem Well for starters they don't shoot out the raycasts continously every frame, only once every intervall. That still wouldn't help though, since we shoot out 40k raycasts, so I split the players into like 20 groups, where they each run on different "ticks". This way, the updates are split over several frames, instead of every player updating on the same tick

hey dani, big milk gulper here.... im currently building a 2d MMORPG inside of Godot, a pokemon like graphic tilemap game similar to WoW orElderSrolls. Open world lobby where you can train and discover (ofcourse with visible other players if you enable it in the settings)
then in the middle there will be a hub where a kind of story happens and you have to complete levels (not necessarily one after another you can choose)
if you complete all the levels you'll have access to the boss
