I was wanting to ask if you had any advice for getting into the heavily saturated scene of development tutorials on Youtube. I graduated my Game Design B.S. with honors and I'm currently going through my Masters program, and I'd like to create sets of tutorials that teach people how to make very specific mechanics and world interactions in Unity. There are many ways to do one thing, and each have their advantages and disadvantages, and I would detail all (or at least most) of the different methods and their use cases. This would set me apart from other channels that stick to a single thought process.

As just an intro to the language, I recommend downloading an app called SoloLearn: Learn To Code

It's a free app that goes over the very basics of each language

#

Once you feel like you've got the foundation you need, you move to whichever engine you're working with and learn their API. API is an extension of functionality built using libraries provided by third parties. Essentially just sets of functions and procedures not included with the base language.

#

If you're using Unity, their documentation is very amazing, and their learn.unity.com site will teach you everything under the sun through a series of video tutorials. They will even go through and teach basics as they work you through the steps

Do not hesitate when you are programming to search on internet, watch a video, read some docs when you need something. Really, start making your firsts programs with the help of internet, and then you'll see that you will start memorizing a few things.
