8 was alright, start menu was just shit, which they fixed in 8.1. They tried to push the tablet/convertible market too hard with it

That has nothing to do with C#.
It has to do with the Frameworks you are using.
e.g. when creating a console application (without unity3d) you would use Console.WriteLine to log into the console window.

Unity3D provides a class called "Debug" (nothing to do with c#)
You can use its static methods, called e.g. "Log" to send it to unity.

You will still write c# code. But you will use different classes, methods etc. based on the frameworks you use.

When you watch tutorials some might code like that:

Some might code like that

}

It does the same thing. Looks different.
You will have to get used to it.
