#The Storm Idea Doesn't Work + Deaths that Restart The Game (Excluding Objectives)

I believe the limited time feature in Hello Neighbor 3 is what is holding the game down the most.

I love how you guys decided to increase the time of when the storm comes compared to the previous prototypes, that was a good decision.

The questline idea was also good, it helps you keep track of what you're doing so you don't have to constantly remind yourself what you were going to do.

My biggest issue is.. the timed idea of HN3 sadly just doesn't work. For a game where you're constantly looking for resources, grinding, and fighting against rubbish AI (Which is another thing that needs to be fixed), having the thought of the storm approaching and possibly killing your run is a huge problem. Players should take as much time as they need, they shouldn't be punished for exploring your game and connecting the dots.

I had suggested once that instead of the storm coming in a few minutes of gameplay, that instead the storm would be set on a specific day. Kind of like a day system, but looking at the pre-alpha, and the possible length of the full game, the storm idea must be wiped entirely. It doesn't work, especially with how the game functions.

Another problem I have is deaths that restart the game. Simply adding an objectives system that saves your progress isn't enough. Every time you die, whether it is from the storm, you get caught by the guest, or you accidentally take a high drop, you restart the run. Sure, you may keep your objectives, but all of the things you grinded for are all discarded. When you take that away from a player, that discourages them from playing the game anymore.

You encourage the player to explore your world and find their own way of playing, so why punish them for not doing it the fastest and right way?

nikita had said the time until the storm would be much longer in the future
the storm is not going to be removed
