Since the next builds are probably going to have an UI overhaul for the player, i thought of making a concept for it to be clearer for the player to look through their entire playthrough. I really wanted to go toward a UI that made sense for the point of view in the lore, for instance, the watch presented is in the shape of an apple, it is only like that to show that the Golden Apple Company provides their own technologies to their employees when going for a mission. And as for important items, they should be highlighted in a "handrawn outline" when your cursor is pointed on it, as well as a small animation of a speech bubble appearing with additional information on the item, hopefully the idea will reach the developers for future builds. (EDIT : as it was said in the discussion, the item highlight system could be an optional feature depending on if the player wants it or not)

Okay this ui is soooo good like what!? But that flashlight text is little too much glowing is good tho

I am all for the new ui, perhaps the tool tips/item information could be optional though
yeah that could be an option in the settings, it can sort of ruin the atmosphere but can be cool for people who want some more visual-like instructions

I like this but I really don't like tool tips that appear when you hover over items in games
Text that appears over an item always feels intrusive to me
If you could open an inventory of some kind that would give you descriptions of the items, or the tooltip only appears the first time you hover over an item and not the whole game, then it would be fine

looks cool, kinda big icons imo, but nice, would like an option to make them smaller too
Would be nice if you could manually set their size or just have them scale to your display as well

As much as this is good, I disagree with everything except the watch in the corner. Having the banner where it says objectives/tabs is too obstructive. Its bright red and sticks out of the side of the screen and would be distracting
And I think it would be better to just have the rectangle around the inventory be transparent, and only the slots be visible
Even the watch is kind of big, maybe instead it would be a watch on your arm and you play an animation to check the time
HN games have never been really ui heavy. I'm not hating 🥀 this just my opinion
