Pros
- Gorgeous game, the visuals are really coming together
- The objective system is very welcome and well handled, keeps the player on track and focused while not being too handholdy
- The pacing is significantly improved thanks to the gradual progress mechanic between loops (though due to the amount of times you have to redo progress, it isn't perfect)
- Stealth with the AI feels mostly fun and makes breaking and entering a fun challenge
Cons
- The AI is incredibly janky, prone to getting stuck, and a bit too aggressive - especially the Guest
- Break items are far too much of a commodity for how much they're used compared to fix items
- The finale w/ the Neighbor is far too much of a difficulty spike, and if the player isn't perfectly prepared, then they will end up stuck - and there likely wont even be time to get unstuck
- Too much reliance on platforming to get places. Platforming shouldn't be the only way forward. Please add vaulting from HN2 back, the game desperately needs it.
Suggestion:
Rework the Inventory to be closer to HN2. Give us more slots instead of 4, as 4 is getting a bit too hard to manage with how item-based the game is, especially with all these key items (6 would be good!). Would also open up the door for allowing key items to persist between loops, cutting down on unnecessary repeating of progress and trimming some of the fat around the pacing.
