#Hello, could you PLEASE update the PC version

Hey! Regarding crashes on Intel 10th Gen+ CPUs, please take a look at this Intel article for more details.
The TL;DR version: it’s a known issue between Unreal Engine 4 and newer Intel CPUs, affecting quite a few games.
We’ve also made a note of the issue with the basement door - thank you for letting us know!
I understand, I have already done that, but I still have a question. Why should I either disconnect from internet or go change my system settings when I paid money for your game? I think it's unfair for people who barely know anything about PCs and what environment variables are for.
It's not an obvious action either, you can't just do that with one button; and I don't think you can convince those people that it's totally safe to change environment variables. I know people who are very protective over their system settings
Also would like to report the Android version issues, but for some reason my Discord doesn't let me attach screenshots. There's really a lot to see, I can send a link to my Twitter posts about it
As mentioned in my previous message, this issue is actually an incompatibility between Intel CPUs and Unreal Engine 4—it isn't something caused directly by our game.
The troubleshooting steps come straight from the official Intel page, so you can rest assured they are safe to follow. Hopefully, that helps clear up any concerns!
This is possible if the files are too large. You might want to upload them to a hosting service and share the link here, or submit them through our support site at: https://tinybuild.theymes.com/hc/en/hello-neighbor
Lol, if the studio doesn't bother with updating the game majorily (no blame onto developers), you could do the simplest thing with literally a .bat file instead of writing a whole article.
set OPENSSL_ia32cap=:~0x20000000
HelloNeighbor.exe
It's a "crutch", but it's the easiest way for both the developers and the customers
Though, the Kobo build didn't have this problem during playtest (instead it just didn't support fullscreen)
Ah, what am I saying if even fan games that use UE4 didn't have this issue?
Also, the game in its current state misses options like V-Sync, manual FPS cap and FOV. The FOV in this game is TERRIBLE, especially for ultrawide monitors. Also ironic that fangames and some mods do have these options (in case of mods, mostly FOV setting)
Terrible physics needs fixing too btw, asap, because otherwise this game is impossible to complete the way developers intended. You will be forced to abuse shortcuts, especially in Act 3. It's almost impossible to complete the painting puzzle, fear supermarket is irritating simply because props fly from a random position of player's hand, party puzzle (with cake and mannequins) oftenly gets broken because props collide each other and fly
are we playing the same painting puzzle
Yes
I completed it, but because of prop positioning it can become irritating. Same with Fear Supermarket - you can beat it on first try, no shi, but you also can watse hours on it simply because the props fly off the cart or refuse to fall inside it
Just randomly remembered
"Penumbra released in 2007, it had a painting puzzle. Hello Neighbor released 10 years later and it has a painting puzzle too. Here's the question: how could they make it WORSE?"
