I am playing hello neighbor on my save file and noticed the toy shotgun was missing so I explored by the players house and it was outside…then I reloaded the save and it was inside but now I’m afraid if this is apart of the new graphics update and I kinda don’t want to close hello neighbor,

I just wanted to post to see if it was just me or if anyone was having the same issue with their save file if you can find out what the issue is please let me know cuz I was starting to get a little stressed out about it because it took me so long to get the gun and do the mini games (Including green key which is the hardest one)!

I’ve had this save for a year now but what I do is load in my save, delete it the re add it every time and it’s been just fine

That’s definitely peculiar! Could you retrace what you did before that happened? Also, could you let us know which console you're playing on?

So…I had a save file and double checked (last night) and it was saved but now I don’t have any progress other than all 17/17 achievements and I’m just at “New Game” and Act 1

I don’t have an act 3 save file (My only one, No Acts, Nothing)

Even my settings are reset, I had the golden apple and everything, even the abilities

Hey, I'm really sorry to hear your progress was reset. That definitely should not happen, even with the latest update—this is the first report we've seen of this particular issue.

While we unfortunately don't have a way to restore lost progress (especially on consoles), please rest assured that we’ll be keeping a close eye out for similar reports. We’ll be investigating to see if this was triggered by something specific in the game so we can prevent it from happening again.

But I think my save data might have corrupted without me knowing…So let’s refresh:

Logged on the next day and no saved data was there, Deleted from Xbox (Not from delete all) and got “Syncing Data” to try get my save back….

But it didn’t work probably because the save had been corrupted or overwritten (Idk which one) so I asked ChatGPT for advice and it said Delete from Console and not Everywhere for “Syncing Data” so by doing that it might refresh the data from where I was originally but… It was either Overwritten and Corrupted (like I said)
