The sonar is incredibly op and since you can tell which kid it is based off of the outline, if they transform or use the bookshelf, you can see it and tell everyone. This makes secret neighbor not so secret, and so does the next point

Kids can very easily tell when the neighbor killed someone based off of the saturation and ambience, its very op and maybe only desaturate and play the heavy ambience when the basements open, or fade it in as the time runs out

Who even is gonna try to tell which kid is based off the outline using the sonar anyway? It's there to help kids locate their team mates and such.

I also don't think we should change anything about the ambience. It gets louder everytime someone dies, and that's really helpful coordination skill so you can basically tell who is alive.
And on top of that, most of the playerbase didn't realize it and there aren't as much pros now, even some red badge players still don't have the skill of the ambience thing even if they're skilled.

And of course the ambience plays loud when basement door opens as well. The reason they added louder ambience after death is because to give the game more of a stealth or horror style.

I have to disagree, the Sonar should be useful to everyone, otherwise it would be the same as the bookshelf and you'd be able to tell who did it if they separated from the group, the sonar also doesn't detect you if you're hiding in a closet - Also it doesn't detect the neighbor + makes a sound when pressed, so pretty much just don't do anything suspicious during that

For the saturation and ambience, how does it even give an advantage? I personally get stressed and might mess up more because I know I am alone or there's less people to help us win, which makes the round harder.. It adds suspense, really I am not sure how it is 'op'

I like the desaturation. It gives you that "oh no. I'm alone and he's coming for me" feeling, which is way more horror-y than the rest of the game is. The tension is fun.
It's also cool when you leave a teammate alone for a few seconds, hoping they can handle fighting the neighbour for just a moment, and then the sounds change and you know they've lost.

If the scanner was limited to just the neighbour, then you wouldn't be able to scan without giving yourself away. Someone scans at the start on maps 1, 2 and 5? They're the neighbour. Even if you don't see them, you know the people around you are explorers.

How is the sonar even OP?

It just temporarily reveals location
