So I was playing a simple game and the neighbor leaves, so we are trying to complete the level anyway, and we do but with difficulty as this one play was griefing. So, the next game, I get in a game with the same dude, and I'm like "I can tolerate him", and then I'm like "Why tolerate him?", so, I leave, and then I get hit with a penalty. Now I can't play the game.
#Penalty For Quitting Match With Griefer

the garbage design of a penalty system has left me unable to play the game I paid for
You left a normal match with the neighbor still here, the game wasn't safe to leave. What's your point?
My point it. Some people have valid reasons for leaving, and to incorporate an automatic system to penalize someone even if they have a valid reason to leave sounds like laziness and a mistake on the moderation level.
You still left a game on purpose and left all the other players to fend for themselves, even if there is a griefer you shouldn't leave lol. Just take a break or wait a while before joining another game to increase your chances of not meeting them
He should be getting penalized.
Also they will suffer anyhow whether I am there or not. The guy did it for a full game it doesnt mean it wouldnt do it for another.
There's no correlation to that, actually.. Do you know how penality works in games? Griefers aren't counted only because they're downing innocent teammates, because the point of the game is that you DON'T know who the neighbor is 😓 so downing teammates does not count into the penality.
Penalty in HN is literally for leaving normal matches which you did, It's written you'll get it, it warns you you'll get it for leaving and you still did. You should've gotten proof and send it to player reports or something
Yes but there is a different between a griefer and a teamate
this guy knew i wasnt the neighbor because the neighbor disconnected, but he continued to hit me.
That still shouldn't be counted for penality? You can hit someone on accident lol
We would all get it for no reason just for that.
Yes but I sent in a grief report and there wasnt even like an automatic detection system, but yet penalizing for leaving is automatic.
And why do you think it is automatic? People could be falsely flagged for throwing things at what they suspect is the neighbor
As I stated. He knew I wasnt the neighbor, the neighbor disconnected, and he did it the entire game.
Its not that hard to flag
It actually could be, lol
How would you know?
coding isn't easy, there's always a chance the automatic system would mess up and flag innocent players
Coding is easy
You still left the game and that's on your account
They used C#
Which is also converted into C++ i'm sure, if you say coding is so easy could you do a test program that does exactly that without falsely flagging anyone? I would like to see that and if it actually works properly
The system they have is already setup and ready. They can see the value and even functions sent accross the server. The game took about 2 years to develop, but either way they already have the functions in place to be easily hooked onto and have a flagging system setup. Also for me to test I would have to develop their whole interaction, pickup, throw, and health system, which again the game took about 2 years to develop and is still developing now.
Easy but time consuming. Im not wasting my time to prove a point.
I see then, you shouldn't be complaining over something you did on your own account and then trying to link it to a griefer not getting anything in a game that doesn't get updates at all
You do realize that Holo isn't developing anything for it as of now, right? they're focusing on another project
yes and holo arent the only developers working on the project
