i cant hear anyone and no one can hear me neither, i got my headphones and mic set as default, i can hear every single sound other than voice chat, i have it on in setting and have tried both push to talk and always active options - neither of which have worked

I forget the exact path to the settings, but in your sound settings if you're on PC, there's an option to set input/output device for each individual application.
Set that for SN.
I've had this issue twice and that's what it needed.
