Its the cog key for night 4 and I accidentally dropped it on the way to the museum and my "last save" is the same night just outside the museum and I genuinely just can't find it. I dropped it somewhere on the road in the picture.

Have you tried going back to the place where the key was originally located? I assume that it should return to its original location when the game is loaded.
