#Hello Neighbor 1 Remake

i think alex once said that when they are done with fixing hn2 they will remake hn1
He said maybe, I hope so
Hopefully the story telling is less convoluted and actually shows the events on what happened from the neighbor’s or child’s perspective
I also hope the puzzles and act 3 house is less complicated to navigate and solve and you can actually always not be cornered by the neighbor. The act 1 house should be the similar to the act 1 house in hello neighbor 2
Also idk why they didn't use HN1 Alpha 1 house, it was good
yeah they could have put it in the game and made it slightly cartoonic like this
Dam sure hope they do
Holy crap, not only remaking hn1, but also making it as its og style? Needs to happen so this game can have more relevancy
Becauuse they thought adding more complecated houses with loads of parkour was a good idea
Well let’s not remake it in its og style, that’s too realistic and it’s not reallly fun looking
Use hello neighbor 2’s artstyle
Id be fine with that too ig
It gives hello neighbor it’s recognizable identity
I like realistic more since it gave you an actual sense of breaking into someone home. Plus, it was still cartoonish in its own way
Ok yeah it does feel like a break and enter
But so does hello neighbor 2
For me thats what made the game feel more intense, and....disturbing in some way
I haven’t played the alphas of 1 yet
Not really
In hn2, you get just a little gasp, and then low volumed chase music. He acts like he isnt too suprised that we are in his house. But in the older games, he came bolting at you, music maxed immediatley, it was a different time, and different game
I think you have to turn up the music
Like the volume
No, the music is so non chalant. That music aint gonna give u any jumpscares that fs
Yeah well maybe it’s just the cop
The other neighbors have intense chase music
Like Peterson
Baker
Mayor
No you are right, but the music is still not that threatening. Instead of scaring me when i played the game, it was more like a notification for me to know if im being chased or not
That’s a good way to describe it
The scary music like in the pre alpha would have been too intense
I think that’s why they removed it
Yeah, they would have to change the whole movement style of the neighbor to make him look more aggressive, and also make him faster.
I am all for the alphas and wished they continued with that type of theme, but the new story got way too complicated
I loved Hn1 story, Neighbor lost his family, aaron still alive, yknow, the basics
But then that got so much more confusing with hn2, and now with books
Like how in matpats video said, people dont wanna be reading books for answers
They are making the games have the full story
So you’ll only need to play 1 and 2 to know what happens
I heard some of the books aren’t game canon
Good, now lets hope hn2 actually builds off hn1 story in a good way
Lol u probably think i hate hello neighbor, but i dont know if you were liking hello neighbor back then, but it was a new indie horror game, that no one has seen before. Like fnaf in that sense. They had a good vibe, and gameplay that shaped hello neighbors identity. I just hate when games do things like this.
Especially fortnite
Do not get me started about fortnite
I watched YouTubers play the alphas
I see
Check out my 2 suggestions on hello neighbor 2 feedback channel
This one would be cool
If you love it make sure to leave an emoji reaction
Tbh, its not like i dont like you or anything like that, but i just really dont care what they add to hn2 at this point lol
Do you not like the game?
Is it the shady history with tinybuild
Yeah with that too
The ai promises that were broken
Wait. Did you play hello neighbor 2
Yes
Ive seen videos. But before I seen those videos, I havent played hn2 in like a year. And to me, it looked exactly the same
It isn’t the exact same as it was
Yes ik
Moved items
Tiny build just put you guys into such a deep poverty state at the moment to where you guys will see anything as a big improvement
Well my big suggestions are going to actually be massive improvements
old art isn't too realistic and it actually makes the game feel horrory
hn2 is kinda ok
but it wouldn't fit hn1
Ok well if they remake hello neighbor 2… should they keep the old artstyle and just make the town abandoned
We need this
exactly

That video is short, and its perfectly well said to what happened to hello neighbor
And its coming from the 🐐 markiplier
I can't wait 20+ years for them to (in their opinion) fix hn2. Besides, they'll be too busy working on the series (which I'm pretty sure doesn't connect to the games, but it's not like any of the games connect to each other) and from what I've heard a movie, which will probably be the suckiest and low-budget production in human history.
In my opinion they should've stuck with Steelwool so that their games didn't flop harder than my great grandmother's corpse at two in the morning.
I agree
This game dissapoints me so bad. Ive seen games grow from a seed, to a tall tree, and ive seen some start as a tall tree, but then burn down. But this game couldve had a tree reaching the heavens, but they through that seed away, and replaced it with a cracked and weak seed
Honestly if tinybuild actually looked at these feedback channels then I'd try to offend them as much as I can considering how horrible the game has become. But sadly these channels were made to make the community feel like we have a voice in the games growth/degeneration.
We have never had a voice
If they listened to us they wouldve changed after alpha 3
How could you be that stupid and say, "We made 2 games, pre alpha and alpha 1, and we made now two other games, alpha 3 and 4. They are both entirely different, and have different specialities. it looks like alphas 3 and 4 arent doing that good at all. Lets continue to go that route!"
wonder if we could @ alex to this. probably wouldn't even look at it though.
He wont care.
I genuinley want to have Nikitas thoughts out of everyones
I want to ask him, "Would you have rather continued with Hello Neighbors original thought, or do you like the way it is now?"
Yeah. And don't get me wrong the idea of the raven man is pretty cool, but tinybuild hyped him up so much only for him to simply just not appear most of the game and for his segment to have no continuity to the start of the game. But of course thats the second game, and we're organized fellas so that won't be discussed in this channel.
Yeah i agree with that exactly. I had some hope for hn2 in its early alphas
I hope they make it alpha 2/3 styled where it's cartoony but less
Basically alpha 1.5
Lowkey that had a perfect mix of artstyle
Yeah
It was mostly, but there was some cartoonish art aswell
If not old art then pre alpha hopefully have it as nice looking as hn2 or how hn3 looks so far and not whatever the final of first game was.
Is that LordMinion? I haven't seen him for a good while.
ye im prtty sure
fr
If they remake hn1 it would probably be in the HN2 style, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It would be kinda cool
I think a HN remake should have an unique artstyle
A cartoony and surreal artstyle but also slightly realistic
I wouldn't mind them using the artstyle of the FG though
Aslong as they use good lighting and graphics
Because the lack of those two things is the reason why HN 1 artstyle looks so dogshit
hi
Like Nicky's diaries
Remake the full game not the alpha
Obviously i dont see why theyd remake the alpha
If they remade all the alphas, kept each alphas artstyle (maybe even add away to decide which artstyle you want) put them all into one game and release it to all devices and call it the alpha collection they would make so much money
Ngl whatever HN1 remake they do it'll be really neat to get "bonus houses" from the past as some extra content after beating the game, like Devgamm or Pre-Alpha (Prototype is overrated and got 27174958194 fangames so exclude that)
I've played alot of those prototype houses and ngl the house itself is awful, it's so cramped and the stairs never lead anywhere and will always get you caught
indeed
Maybe add alphas to console instead.
As I have to buy a laptop / PC now to play the exciting alphas of what the game started on to what it become.
Yeah no
Hello neighbor 2 alpha 1 and hello guest are in Xbox already
Also Hello Neighbor 2 Alpha 1 is technically only available on Microsoft PC
It's not on the console
It literally is
It's literally only available on Microsoft PC
It's not on console. There's no mention of it being on console
Oh man :[
Like sure you can view it there when going to the Microsoft store but it doesn't always technically mean it's on both PC and console
Yes
Not possible
🤯
I'm always right because I'm batman and batmans always right
Next time look at this
that would be good sauce
Again as I said I'm literally batman so I'm literally always right
You rn:
Being all mysterious
Forget about HN1 Remake what about a HN2 remake
now thats peak
Nah we need a good hello neighbor 1 game
and it should also explain what happened to the neighbor instead of having even more games
maybe a remaster of hn2 would be cool, but let's make it the abandoned theme that was the alphas
Hello Neighbor one is good enough for now as long as no ones purposefully trying to bin glitch the games fine but HN2 is what needs a revival someday
HN1 is NOT good enough, it's parkour and puzzles badly mixed with an AI thrown into the mess despite clearly not being accounted for (case in point: essentially camping the Act 2 spawn assuming that it's an oftenly visited by the player spot that it needs to check, placing bajillion cameras in one place, or like the entirety of the Act 3 house that it can't access)
And that's not even being too specific on what's bad about it, I think when it comes to the question of "Wut to remake??", the game that served as franchise's very foundation takes priority and not a sequel that is actually more bearable in comparison
(especially taking into account the outdated artstyle and certain story elements cough cough)
That's literally just HN 3
Honestly i can think of alot of ideas for a HN 2 remake (especially since it's cancelled) but i really can't think of much for HN 1 content wise (aside from upgrading things like the AI, artstyle, puzzles, house layout, basement and story). Like, what would be after act 1? Because having the next acts just be the act 1 house but bigger would be just lame and quite frankly the same thing as the original game
Well actually, Now that i think about It, it would be easier to add the content in HN 2 to HN 1 cuz it's cancelled but maybe reimagined
Though that would mean HN 3 is actually HN 2. But who cares anyway
Its enjoyable and silly and nostalgic and charmy HN2 was like yeah it was like yeah ya know just a bit yeah
Eh, valid
Silly, nostalgic and charming doesn't equal good
Everything ahout HN 1 is just bad
HN 2 may be short but it's way more enjoyable than HN 1
No it is not
Yes it is
And also it isnt its much more boring
You can't convice me bruh
And HN 1 is frustating
at least HN1 was silly goofy steal neighbor stuff kindly keyin box fort beat neighbor up
"silly goofy steal neighbor" idc bruh 💀
Im not playing the game to laugh
Im playing to have fun
I never had fun playing HN 1
Like ever
HN2 was go house dont even do the puzzle cutscene end game wait for patch 10 (it didnt happen)
HN2 was boring
HN1 was frustating
One has an unfinished story, is short and has baby puzzles while the other has a horrible storyline, terrible AI, physics and puzzles.
Which one is better?
Yeah gameplay wise both games are terrible (imo)
But still, HN2 to me was way more enjoyable than HN1 as short as it was
And HN2 is also a big jump in quality compared to the first game
The Hello Neighbor 1 story was about Nicky’s trauma and him overcoming it. Not about Aaron.
Oh
Sorry… I thought you were talking about Hello Neighbor ONE. I thought you were saying that the first one’s story was unfinished
Dw
HN2!!!
A little bit but yeah
there is no way to know that unless you watch the show, read the books or play the awful mobile game
There is. You see Nicky having hallucinations and the dreams after you get caught do tell the story you just gotta think
You won't really understand them tho
The neighbors backstory: The car crash: You hear a woman voice and the neighbor going to the car. It crashes and the neighbor is heart broken. The rollercoaster cutscene: The roller coaster rides on a giant house structure indicating that you are on a house. The hands on the roller coaster push the girl cardboard cutout to the grave, implying that you pushed her off the house
And the roller coaster ride also has a littler boy getting mad and a girl getting scared
And when he buried the daughter, you know that it’s the daughter being buried because the mother died in front of the public, but there was no one when the daughter died
kinda wish neighbor's backstory and the trauma plotline was elaborated upon better
For example the Golden Apple cutscene esque thing where you see things from his pov or maybe just overall more direct explanations
because, not only are some of the cutscenes not in order, some are a bit hard to tell the meaning of
take the one where you see the shadow of Theodore burying Mya then go under a table to get caught by Theodore from Aaron's POV
you can connect that he's burying Mya but not that the scene afterwards is supposed to show that he captured Aaron and put him into the basement afterwards
some might even have a chance of misinterpretating it as just a nightmare Nicky had of how evil neighbur guy buried someone and then caught him too!!1
Or take the roller-coaster nightmare for example, the direction taken is cool and all with the roller-coaster (ayy thematic) and with how it builds up slowly on a height before you and the Mya cutout fall into the abyss, but it doesn't really elaborate much on that Aaron was the one who pushed her off
Yes his cutout is at the counter before you get in but so far he had only ONE appearance beforehand and it's the "blink and miss" moment where you can see him unlock the door for Nicky
based off these nightmares alone you had no clue up to this point that Theodore had a son or that it was HIS child that he locked in the basement, or that he IS that one silly cutout
Personally at one point when I was still new to the franchise I even overthought the whole roller-coaster nightmare when I heard of Lucy Yi's story, thinking that was about her (you know, roller-coasters, a kid dying on one, etc) thankfully a misinterpretation quickly shot down
and the Thing, well, I think even just putting Theodore's model instead of "spooky shadow man" would elaborate on the "trauma" thing more, the show has done a better job at showing it but the game... Not really
besides I think it'd be sick and overall better to have the Thing be some really messed up version of Theodore's model
I like the idea of the thing changing it's design
So it can take any form
Or maybe even having multiple fears/things at once
And they all manifest into a big supreme fear
Which is the thing we fight in act 4
it'd be cool to see it become some big hybrid or something
They don't fix things. Just realese more crap
you realize that i wrote that months ago before we even knew of hn3 right?
youre quite pessimistic
Yes, they didn't fix HN2, and are going to release more crap.
im sure they learned from their mistakes
Yeah, and the "crap" looks far better than HN2 ever did
Sorry brah but HN3 is gonna be better than HN2
Yeah
, sure. After the fourth time.
I wish it would be. But there track record proves otherwise
If it wasn't for Nikita leaving HN2 mid development the game would've good so idk what you're talking about
bro cant accept change
Fr 💀
I accept change. By this point I'm just no longer gullible. You two clearly are though.
whatever you say
Yeah sure bro
It's not that he can't accept change. It's that tinybuild has a public record of either making their games nothing like it was advertised, or just make something good but not completing it
you are right but that does not mean they cant change
Hello Neighbor 2 was supposed to be the change
Blame alexus and tinybuilds
HN2 could have been good if it wasn't for that unecessary change
you shouldn't blame the guy
eating crap over and over again is no fun, people have their limits
they'll just have to PROVE it instead of promising and not delivering
just because they can change doesn't necessarily mean they will, I still have some faith in them but like
you shouldn't blame people for not holding out hope
i never tried to blame anyone
and im sure that tinibuild or eries guest studios aint that stupid to actualy not change but i see your point
No one is blaming anyone
^^^
Alexis wanted something new tiny build wanted it to be more marketable with the neighbor and all new enemies forgetting the idea of the guest being a MAIN threat and the open world you can tell alpha 2 was when Tiny build took charge and it's even more obvious with that being when Alexis left
Alpha 2 was still Nikita until he left
Than alexus took over and scrapped most of his ideas and forgot about the guest
That aint blaming but a joke
There comes HN3 instead
Act 3!!!
Is this actually a possibile house variant to get
I think its an actual screenshot from the remake
It's clearly the Diaries house though
similar but no
and to be fair
a lot of ppl like nicky's diaries house
Well this screenshot dates to at least
Ugh somebody should make a proper wiki page for Diaries
At least so we can see all the house variations gosh
So theres this game called hello neighbor diaries on mobile…
Well yes but if I was wrong about this image it's only because someone sent it to me
And the bg isn't from nd
HN2 came out about 2 years ago
I believe this was the first if not one of the first screenshots we’d seen of ND game and back then I think it was a thing people talked about there possibly being a remake/remaster due to something Alex said and this was thought to be it because it was shared around the time.
Cool. I'm still excited for an HN1 remake tho
