#

an engine update is not needed

#

i would much rather them work on actual content updates instead of upgrading to, from what ive seen, a much more unstable engine just for better graphics

Because some people just want "realism"

I agree and disagree, although lumen would look great, they could run into some c++ or blueprint errors becuase of switching to a new engine, or they could get a unfixable packagaing error

afaik it isnt that easy to change to a new engine for a game that already exists and is in development

I like how they have no idea what they're talking about
saying shit like "it will be more optimized" "it will run better" "physics will be better" "textures will be better"
like
no
switching to a newer engine version doesn't automatically fix bugs and increase texture quality, let alone make it more optimized

#

especially considering the lighting engine in ue5 will be much more tanking on the gpu, it won't just "run better"

#

on top of that like other people said it's difficult to update between the two when you have a fully coded project due to the code differences between the engines, there would be a lot of errors to fix

Having a game immigrate to a different engine doesn’t just make it run better or remove bugs lol
