What I always found odd is how Scary Neighbor is obviously based off the Neighbor from HN1, but doesn't really have anything in common with that version other than the Beartraps. So to make him a bit closer to his character from the original game, I thought of a new addition to him: Security Cameras
Security cameras are used to watch and track down Kids that are in their field of view. The Neighbor will be able to switch between his Beartraps and Cameras by holding down the button to select a Trap. He will get a certain amount of Cameras (3?) and a Camera Pad, which he can set up and replace at any time. The Neighbor can use his Camera to watch the area he has placed the Camera in usimg his Camera Pad, and they will have small light bulbs that glow green if he's currently looking at that Camera. If the Camera has detected a Kid while the Neighbor is watching that Camera, he will be able to press a button to track down the kid for 15 seconds, similar to the sonar. Cameras that have successfully tracked a Kid will make an alert sound and will have their light bulb flash red. Looking at a Camera gives it a 10 second cooldown and breaking a Camera gives it a 20 second cooldown. They can be destroyed if someone throws an item at them.

Because Hello Neighbor 1 is only half represented now and most features from that game aren’t coming anymore unless they simply use the Hello Neighbor 2 model camera
thats why i used the hn2 camera for the post.
No.
Just no. You have button.
Its not gonna be useful in THIS game.
The sonar is already enough but ok
I like but, the sonar exists. But maybe you could see in the neighbours room? Will all of the tvs in there?
yea, but it takes time to get there
i dont see the point of looking at cameras in the neighbor room when you can just press a button while youre at it
Idk why people are mentioning the sonar as an argument. Y’all acting like a neighbor player can just teleport there. If the cameras are placed in the most organized and good spot and can catch kids very frequently, sonars can be barely needed unless all the cameras are on cooldown or destroyed.
i do think the sonar needs a change tho
alteast for the neighbors with good mobility
it should have a cooldown imo
like in prop hunt
its just frustrating when you manage to make the neighbor lose you in a 1v1 only for him to just instantly find you again
