The game kind of lost a big part of it's identity when it came to the style change.
I also believe the style switch is very strange considering that the game is a final product that is for some reason being treated like a giant experiment.
Change is good, and the style COULD WORK but the way the game looks right now with mixed art (some items are not from HN2 or in the HN2 style) it makes it look like how barf smells.
For Secret Neighbor itself, when the style was kept in the HN1 style, it had unique models that weren't exactly from the past HN games and were solely created for the purpose of being in SN which was really cool. A good example of unique models that perfectly capture the HN style is a lot of the items that can be found in the Cinema/theatre room.
Maybe for SN, they could perhaps use models that went completely unused in HN2 so they could make the style a bit more unique as well.
I'm not the best at words so my feedback really sucks, but yeah this is just my opinion on the switch.
Like I said, it COULD work not that it can't.
