#Why Can't you play Hello Neighbor 2 Beta on steam?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
you still can get the Beta if you bought HN2 full game on steam (standard or deluxe)
for info the Beta is named "Hello Neighbor 2 Playtest" in your library
Yea, I was confused when I saw it in my library
Yeah you play it through there, but since internally their save system is like, the same, you need to delete your fullgame save file to play the Beta
I heard that certain people didnt get it after they bought hn2
you can, i think. you just need to keep replacing the appdata saves of hn2 entirely to make it work.
Yes, It will crash otherwise
no?
all you need to do is reset your save
No
Like twisted egg said you just need to reset your save
I have it in my library but I cant launch it because it puts me in a black screen
why reset the progress all the time, when you can just switch two folders
It would also switch your alpha saves though
Actually the HN2 Alphas seem completely unaffected by Beta & Fullgame HN2 saves
The only reason FG and Beta effect each other, is internally on steam,
Fullgame is still named “Hello Neighbor 2 Beta”
I know that
What I mean is if you switch the fg save folder with your beta save folder, the alpha saves will get switched with it
the beta is called "Hello Neighbor 2 Playtest"
they just share the same saves folder or smth like that I think
also if you reset the full game save data it will reset the gamma in the alphas
I think even hgp is affected
It’s still funny how the Beta is named Playtest, and Fullgame is named Beta
But yeah got mixed up
Though I haven’t had any problems playing HGP
It's probably since beta is essentially just fg but on a really old map
it resets your gamma
Get the Xbox game pass or get hello neighbor 1 on steam then go on it's library and then click on properties and theres a button with the HN2 beta but I think so.
Hello neighbor 1?????
like i mean like just normle hello neighbor
