#New gameplay mechanics are good, but stacking them without an end causes the game to lose balance.

Let me explain what I mean by that.
Every update, a new feature gets added. New player class, new character skill, new challenge (like random traps), etc.
But there is a common pattern here, where every new feature tries to fix the balancing of the game, while partially breaking it, requiring another feature to fix the balancing, and so on. The "balance fixes" keep stacking on top of each other, causing the stack to become unstable, making the game only more unbalanced in the long run.

So, my suggestion is, when adding new features, consider removing some old ones. Try to keep the stack minimal, while keeping the game fun and fresh.

I'd also like to add that the game was a bit more enjoyable when the mechanics were very plain and simple: strategically find keys and avoid getting caught by the neighbor. Adding too many features changes this base idea into a completely separate one. Instead of doing that, try building on top of that base idea, without bloating it to the point where the base idea is just non-existant.

also reworking old mechanics before adding new mechanics would be good

many problems in the game come from some base mechanics that could be changed instead of adding new features around them to try to cover them up or attempt to fix them
